conforming to- Props- please help on deadline.

edited December 1969 in New Users

I'm coming from poser and trying to create something before monday, still need to go to zbrush and do lots of work.

I have purchased the morphing http://www.daz3d.com/shop/morphing-business-suit and props
http://www.daz3d.com/shop/mbs-expansion-2-suit-props

I want to get the belt and the shoes on the figure. I come from poser and am used to conform to. I found this tutorial http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/artzone/pub/tutorials/poser/poser-posing05 but none of the images come up and I can't seem to find "The “Set Figure Parent” and “Conform to” controls are here, under the Figure menu. Set Parent opens a heirarchy of all the figures and parts in the screen."

So playing around I have come to this place. If I click for the belt to point at the genesis figure nothing happens ( i have no idea if that is how it is done, I just am trying everything to get this to work)

any help is appreciated. I don't want to go back to poser to work this out. I'm really loving working in daz, just a bit of a learning curve
THanks,
Bridgette

The items in the MBS Expansion 2 are just props, static versions of the actual clothing in MBS Expansion 1 http://www.daz3d.com/shop/mbs-expansion-1

Select Genesis and then just double click on the items and they will load into place already parented to Genesis.

Yep. From your pic you've got the non-conforming prop versions.

For conformers right click on the clothing and select Fit ... to..., then in the dialogue that opens select Genesis. For props, as noted they should load aprented - if they don't with a double-click try dragging them from the content pane onto the figure.

The MBS Expansion 2 are not meant to be worn, they're versions of the clothing fromp MBS and MBS Expansion to display on the bed, in the closet, in a suitcase,... It also comes with accessories like rings and watches, i believe.
If you bought the expansion 2 for the belt and shoes to be worn, you might want to return it (send a ticket to sales).
Do you have the MBS expansion 1 ? That set is the one you want for the shoes and belt to be worn by your figures.

I am moving along on the project. I just kept trying to work around the problems. I couldn't get the shoes on so I exported them as an obj. and put them on in zbrush. Once last thing I'm trying to do. If I could possible take the coat and put it over the chair in DAz that would be extremely helpful. Is this possible?
