FAQ Runtime DNA customers coming to Daz

Some of you may have accounts at Runtime DNA.  If so:

  • If your login email address is the same at both sites, then you don’t need to do anything.  As products migrate from DNA to Daz you’ll just see them show up in your account at Daz.
  • If you use a different email address at the two sites, please change your email address in your Runtime DNA account to match the one you use at Daz.
  • All your downloads at DNA are currently available through runtimeDNA.com and will be for several weeks.   
  • Product Support Teams from DAZ and Runtime DNA will work together to ensure any questions you have are easily and professionally managed.
  • The forums and Gallery at Runtime DNA will remain open.

    I have many images posted at that gallery that will clearly violate the DAZ TOS

    We have no current plans to change the way the galleries or forums at runtime work or are regulated.  We will have to watch that and how it develops and decide over time.

    Here's a question, will gift purchases also be brought over? I just noticed they were in a separate section from my regular RDNA purchase history.

    What about the free downloads that are not included in my purchase history? Will they continue to be available? In particular I still use MicroCosm and am especially concerned about all the free add-ons to microcosm that are available simply by clicking on the product link. In fact if there was some way to 'purchase' them so they became part of my product historyat DAZ that wpuld be super great.

    that's what I've been wondering too - I have quite a few purchases gifted to me there and they are separate from the normal purchase history.

    My username at RDNA is different from the one here at Daz ... will that affect the purchase history transfer?

    As this is a pretty specific product question I'll suggest this one be a support ticket once the product migrates.  But freebies in general are tied to your account if you "purchased" them at no cost, and as such they'll come over.

    Is there an ETA on when we can start expecting to see RDNA products turn up in our accounts? I'm just curious :)

    I have asked a question in Sydd Raven's thread on this subject and I will repeat it here: what will happen to the products for HW Dawn, Dusk and Luna at RDNA? Will they be transferring here too?

    All in all I think this is a good thing (so long as the lovely peeps at RDNA are happy with it!).  I barely use Poser (I have decided I really do not like it) but I cannot imagine a lesser level of support from RDAZNA (if you use the name I want royalties ...!) for Poser-specific things such as scripts unless the specific vendor decides not to accompany their product over.  Yes,huge, bad things could happen, we can all imagine them, but let's face it - will they?  I dunno, nor do you.  So let's wait and actually see for once, huh?

    Now, having said that, I am curious about the 'official suppor for Reality' part of the RDNA forums - will that leevl of support be coming across/back?  Note that is a polite enquiry not a 'oh noes the sky is falling I'll never be able to use Reality again ...' type diatribe :)

    Free additional downloads from original vendors that are linked on product pages REALLY should be added to the specific product downloads, maybe by the vendors themselves through product updates - so they would be available for customers from their product history later. Losing them would be sad move.

    I have / had an account at RDNA but lost track of it when my old ISP vaped my account without notice (they vaped themselves). I'd forgotten my RDNA password and couldn't use my (old) registered email to change it.

    Had pretty much given up. It will be interesting to see if my old records come over and can be reactivated.

    Submit a support ticket, I doubt they'll merge accounts that have different email addresses.

    What if my RDNA usermame is capitalized, but otherwise the same as here? Will that affect the transfer?

    I second this question, along with other non-Daz figurs like the Poser natives. Will Daz accept them in their store?

    The username doesn't matter, as long as the email address is the same.
