I'm impressed. Of course I don't know anything about physics and very little of what you say sinks into my brain. But I'm still impressed and I want to be able to do things like this too.

moderately too-high poly chains for Amy's bike ( about 8K polys nothing tragic )

today shall be the day where amy rides down the smooth ramp

and possibly where the bike gets motorized ( maybe an invisible motor, maybe Amy pedaling )

Well Amy would need to keep feet ON the pedals or "far from" as the pedals on their own would rotate as fast as necessary for the wheels' actions. Pedals can be held still by feet on them. Wheels turn on their own anyway.

well i guess the descent video will have to wait another day

Amy may have to give up the heels and wear sneakers ... it's not decided yet

    new mag wheelz
should look better in videos ( less reverse-rotating-wagon wheel effects )

animating the bike steering was made ( moderately ) easy using the following free scripts available on my site

mcjMakeTarget - to create target nodes at the exact position of the hand joints
    https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts/mcjmaketarget

mcjParent - to parent the targets to the handlebar
    https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts3/mcjparent

mcjCycleFilter to get smooth ( sinewave ) rotations of the abdomen
    https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts/mcjcyclefilter

mcjAutoLimb to makeThe hands follow the hand targets
    https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts/mcjautolimb

    mcjHoldOn - https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts2/mcjholdo
to keep her hands gripping the handle bars

mcjKeepOrient - to keep her neck/head looking in the same direction as the abdomen twists and turns
    https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts/mcjkeeporient

i corrected the hair issue but the snappy-arms issue surfaced

well ... it;s supposed to be about the bike

    in theory

It is a nicer pace though ...

That any of all that works is amazing to those of us who haven't a clue how to write scripts! Great work.

ladies and gentlemen we have jump

and it was not easy, i had to try different masses for the wheels and bike body

the thing is, i'm using hinges but bullet-physics includes something specifically adapted to vehicles

they call it something like ray-casters, the cars are sliding along the ground, suspended on , lets call it vertical jets

    video too !

    we saw

    - hinge between a body and the world ( swing set )
    - hinge with suspension and steering

today : hinge between two bodies

presently figuring the way axis and positions are to be specified

note that Amy ( Aiko3 ) was not part of the simulation, i animated her using the scripts mcjKeepOrient and mcjParent

The "feet on pedals" part made me think of one thing... would be possible in the future to apply it to the pedals of a car?
