I don't know about 500+, but Googling "carp tv" returns a surprising number of carp channels.

Ooh yes so it does, including one for Dragon Carp TV. They could be fun to catch, dragon carp. :coolsmirk:

I am hungry because I am trying to cut back eating so I can loose this stupid weight I put on the last ten years. I want to be thin again.

This is news to me. Is there a thread addressing Ikyoto's story?

Both are amphibians. Why can't they all get along? (made the parking sign)

...stupid is it's 03:20 and I'm still up, working on creating Leela's friend Tracey. Shouldn't have drank that bottle of Mexican Coca Cola (which has "real" sugar and all the caffeine) earlier.

...but, I'm having so much fun.

One of my childrens' picture books has a photo of a toad that's mislabeled as a frog. It annoys me every time I read the book.

Why do we have so many songs and sayings about walking on unusual and potentially dangerous things?

Eggshells, broken glass, air, sunshine, the sun, the moon, water, thin ice, fire...

I wonder if other languages have this phenomenon too...

    Is this a stupid question?

I hear there's no such thing, but judging from this thread I bet we can prove otherwise if we try hard enough...

There's no such thing as a stupid question.

    Really?

    Yes.

    Really really?

    So I hear...

    Are you sure?

Can a person ever be completely sure of anything?

Did you just answer a question with a question?

I did. But not a stupid one. There's no such thing.

    Why?

Well, I suppose because any question is an attempt to gain information, which shows curiosity, and curiosity is a sign of intelligence.

    Why should I believe you?

Actually, healthy skepticism is another sign of intelligence.

    Why?

Well, because the ability to question authority and challenge one's beliefs shows critical thinking ability...

    Why?

    It just does, okay?!

What if I ask a question that's not an attempt to gain information?

    Like what?

    Is this a stupid question?

I already answered that. It isn't a stupid question. Now I've answered it twice.

    That's stupid.

Maybe, but that would make it a stupid response, not a stupid question.

Can you ask a stupid question?

No...as I told you twice already, there's no such thing.

Yes, you did tell me that. Can I ask a stupid question?

    Actually, that is pretty stupid.

And you said it couldn't be done!

I love a thread where people can ask questions, because without questions, we just have answers, and an answer without a question is a statement. - Rip off of Mayor Adam West :P

Or maybe just "Is the question 'Is this a stupid question?' a stupid question?"

And if that's not stupid enough for you: "Is the question 'Is the question "Is the question 'Is this a stupid question?' a stupid question?" a stupid question?' a stupid question?" ;-)

I love it when someone asks you "Can I ask you a question?" - My response is always "You just did"

If an answer without a question is a statement, is a question without an answer an askment?
