Apply Face Transfer to New Figure?

Hello!

I used Face Transfer to create a face for a G8 character. I want to turn her into a G8.1, but the "Face Transfer Morph" doesn't seem to save as a Shaping Preset.

Is there any way to transfer the head morph to a new character?

Genesis 8.1 Skins/Textures on Genesis 3 Possible? New G8.1 Skin Resource in Store Today

I was excited to see Rarestone's new Genesis 8.1 Female Skin Merchant Resource appears to use PNG files for all the maps according to the first pic.

From what I've seen, pretty much every other vendor uses JPG files for their characters and unfortunately a level of compression that leaves some pretty ugly artifacts. I've been wanting to get my hands on uncompressed image maps for skins for a while but haven't so far. I've purchased a few other MR skins unfortunately IIRC one was JPG, and both IIRC didn't include normal maps. I didn't check them out for a while, beyond 30 days or I would have returned them.

Trouble for me with this new set is I am still using Genesis 3 figures. Can I convert the image maps to use with Genesis 3?

Double Charge for same 3 products

Considering the current freebies, like TerraDome Expansion 1 - Ancient Worlds: Celtic Mists, Which TerraDome products work in the latest Daz 4.15? Last I checked (when TerraDome first moved to Daz), they were not Daz 3DL-friendly. But now I also have started using Iray and wonder if all or just some of them will work.

Also, they all say the required product is RuntimeDNA's TerraDome, but the link is broken. So does that mean don't bother to download the freebies?

Smart Content Sort order

The options for the Smart content sort order does not return the expected results. When sorted by "Recent Released Date : Recent First" Items like Reality Light system show near the top. I have had that for Years.

Is there a way to fix the sort or provide my own sort order?

I so wanted to never touch anything Gen 8.1. I tried tinkering with the free figure when it was released. I somehow found a way to access the FACS, and got crashes for my trouble. I was absolutely un-sold on the prospect. Then that rat Rarestone released Elder Minto, and I had to have that amazing figure in my library. But now I've gotta try to get a handle on some basic 8.1 stuff again. As usual, I'm going to maintain my blood pressure as best I can, and hope that the kind and helpful forum members will help me out with a couple of questions.

1. There is a Mouth Close slider that doesn't move at all. What's the deal here, and is there a way to close the 8.1 mouth without using the crash-inducing FACS?

2. Where do I find the crash-inducing FACS? I'm really hoping it got fixed between release date and now, but I have not been able to figure out where the tools are lurking. I've read that there's a "Developer Kit" that contains what I'm looking for...somewhere.

I am finding what I have lacking. Used to genesis 2, i remember there was stuff like 'lips part, mouth open wide, eyelid up/down,' etc, where can i find that kind of stuff?

Scars that won't darken a pale face

I'm working on a Gen 8 dude with super pale (undead type gray-whiteish) skin. I need to put some scars on his face but the L.I.E scars I bought darken his face terribly. I apply one tiny scar and he looks like he stuck his face behind an exhaust pipe that gave him a blast.

Are there any scars I can use on him that won't adjust his skin tone?

I haven't used GenX2 for a few years now but I'm pretty sure I was able to transfer Gen 4 morphs to Genesis (as well as G2/3).

However when I look at my source tab, all I can see are Genesis figures (No Poser Gen4). Have I forgotten to do something in the setup?

Genesis 8.1 Skin Enhancements

I've been looking through some of the vendor skin enhancing products (like N.G.S. Anagenesis and Altern8) to maybe get one and I was wondering if they still wok with Genesis 8.1. I've been told N.G.S. Anagenesis does not work (something to do with the torso turning white after applying Anagenesis) and I have not been able to discern if Altern8 has any issues (as far as I've been told that one works, but not sure if it works as well as it did for Genesis 8).

From the renders I have seen, I really like the result of Anagenesis (over Altern8), but that product does not look like it's been updated for some time. Are there any skin enhancement products that work with Genesis 8.1 similar to Anagenesis?

Creating a dForce chain?

Could someone give some recommendations on how to create a simple dForce chain or cord that will drape properly over a hand or other object? I don't remember seeing any in the store, which leads me to believe it can be done with a primitive (maybe a long, very thin cylinder?). Thanks in advance for any advice.

Does anyone know of any skin merchant resources that allow use in freebies if work has been done or it's only a small part that's being used? I am working on a freebie and would like a face bump map that would only be effectively used on a small part of a geoshell. I wouldn't be using the diffuse, specular or other maps. The MR skin products I've seen are either vague about usage on the product page or specify no freebies.

How would this pose set work on plain G8M?

Unable to Access the Forums (Again)

I'm having to use my "spare" login I set up in January to access the forums.

Yesterday I had exactly the same experience as I (and several others) had back in January: SEE THIS THREAD for details

I was happily signed on with my real is and reading a forum page, but when I clicked the page number at the bottom to see the next page I got that "Something has gone wrong" message. Since then I have been unable to access the forums at all. (I was also getting those cloudfare error messages intermittently yesterday, but this is a different thing).

Is this just me, or have others got the same problem?

Should I be raising a ticket?
