I installed RAWArt's Nosferatu (and a few other products last night). Today when I tried finding them, nothing was showing up in Smart Content, and although the name Nosferatu is showing up in the Content Library if I click on the alphabetic list, there are no products showing up there, either. I uninstalled and reinstalled via DIM, to no avail. I checked the DIM log, and got a loooooooooooooooong list of products that have the same message (with different product numbers and names): "Product 23489-1:Nosferatu for Genesis 3 Male has invalid tag: CloudAvailable". What does this mean? Obviously, something didn't install right, or I'd be able to find the products. I checked my DIM settings, and it is (supposedly) installing to My Library. I've had problems lately finding products I've bought, so I think this has been going on for a while now. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit, if that helps.

IRAY: iteration # vs time

What causes an interation's length to..render?

Is it size of area? number of stuff in the scene? Something else?

I had a long running render last night..after 4 hours, it's iterations were in the 500 range (with about 80% convergence).Convergence is convergence, but i'd have thought the iteration count would be higher at that point.

CURIOUS LIGHTING/SKIN TONE PROBLEM

THE SKIN OF THE CHARACTER IN BLUE- TOP RIGHT- SHOWS UP AS BLACK, AFTER A RENDER (IT IS FINE, UNTIL RENDERED.)

Am I going to have to rebuild the character?

Or is is there a setting in SURFACES that I am failing to correctly adjust?

OR...IS THIS A LIGHTING ISSUE?

Stereoscopic 3D - Bunny Thriller Music Video

Not sure if anyone is interested in stereoscopic 3D but here is a version of the Bunny Thriller I created all in DAZ Studio 4.8 Pro. You will need a pair of the blue-red glasses or, the LG stereo ones for the side-by-side version. I created the stereo camera in DAZ and its used in all of the scenes of the video. There are some additional differences to the regular 2D version. There are 52 dance scenes all rendered in DAZ. I hope you like it, even though its not Halloween

We are aware that the forum search box is not appearing at the top of forum pages, just the general store search box. While that remains true you can either type the following URL plus your search term to use the forum search:

The other option is to use an engine such as Google and restrict the search to the forums with the by adding the search term

So I have been wanting to learn to model clothing in Hexagon almost since i started back in Sept. Finally sat down last night to work through the tutorials. Brought the laptop downstairs so I could watch the tutorial on that while using the pc to do the actual stuff. Got started, everything is going along smoothly (okay, not so smooth but I was getting the gist of it and was making something that almost resembles a dress instead of a bad wrapping job). Then, the dude say, so I skipped ahead to.... I was like NOOOOOO! What do you meand YOU SKIPPED AHEAD!! This is is tutorial you can't skip ahead. So after 3 hours of trying to get things just right, I have no idea how to get to the part he is at!!

On a side note is it normal to fiddle with this stuff for hours to get it to fit the shape right? I understand that a lot of it is being completerly clueless but I was having a hard time figuring out which nodes were on the side of the body I was working on and which ones were on the other side of the body that I was NOT trying to work on. Its not very fun untangling nodes by the way.

Anyone use 3D coat? Holiday sale is tempting...

I have been eyeing 3D coat for a while, but I really wanted the pro license because of the bigger texture sizes... It's on sale now for $279 USD ($100 off) and that's a doable price. I'm interested in the 3D painting and UV mapping aspects, but everything seems pretty interesting... I'm curious if it lives up to what the videos make it out to be.

Curious About Comparable Desktop Computers

I use a laptop but I'm going to get a desktop and start to save up for a really nice one. I know nothing about desktops, and although I find a lot on graphics cards, I'm not able to piece together what a good computer would be, along with a graphic card. I'm plain awful at comparing computers, I don't know if I'm looking at apples and oranges or bananas. This first one is a Dell XPS x8900, with these specifications. Are there other ones I should be looking at that are equal to this one?

This one has a NVDIA ATX 960 graphics card, with 2GB DDR5.

The processor is 4GHZ and is an Intel Quad Core. RAM is 32GB DDR4

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this a very misleading header. As far as I can see, it's a buy a full price G3 item over $15 and get selected G2 items at 70% off? So it's not a Genesis 3 sale.

So I too am looking to purchase a new system this year and priced out all the options I want at newegg.ca. The following is a list based on reviews and other info I have aquired through the forums and product sites. I know alot of you have several years experience working with and building computers. The last one I build myself was about 14 years ago and so much has changed and I haven't kept ontop of that, so I would appreciate any insite you can give or maybe alternatives to less expensive but equal or better hardware I could use. The parts I have on this list came to 3100.00 + 10% tax. I am looking to spend only 2600.00 ( be advised this is canadian dollars not US funds), so please go ahead and let me know where I can cut and where to increase. I would be using this computer for 3D using DS and Iray, Reality renders, and I want to start learning modelling and texturing. The programs I use now are Daz Studio w/ Iray and Reality, Photoshop CS2, Paintshop Pro 6X, Silo, Blender, FilterForge and I am looking at purchasing ZBrush. I hope that gives you a good idea of where I want to go with this hobby without upgrading for at least 5 - 7 years except for adding ram, video card, or starage space. Thanks for any advice you can offer

I used both Internet Explorer 11 and Windows 10 Edge - so it's not the browser.

Will Genesis Take Gen 2 or 3 poses?

I don't think Genesis 3 Poses work on Genesis, but I seem to have had some Genesis 2 pose packs work, and others not. I'm very interested in buying the Superhero Poses pack, but Genesis is still my primary figure. :( I'm sad I can't seem to use so many new things for Genesis 1. Does anyone know if these particular poses will work for Genesis? (For example, an "Aim & Shoot" pose pack I bought will not work on Genesis 1, even though they're for Genesis 2... but I have 2 other pose packs that DO work for Genesis 1, though were made for Gen 2).
