Iray Logos on DAZ Studio Renders

Hi all,

I am almost done with a product I am going to submit for sale and am wondering if there is an official 'Made with Iray' logo decal that you place on promo images or are people just lifting them in GIMP/PS from other people's promo images?

Like the one on the bottom left corner of the main promo image of this item:

Since I don't understand what the deal is with HD how can I make a decision. For instance the images for Ivan 7 show a rugged well weathered face and body but then along comes an add on for Ivan HD and the images look like they are Adding that rugged look that was supposed to be in the original. I spent big bucks (for me) on Ivan does this mean he ain't rugged but instead is a namby pamby wimpy baby skined plasticy looking critter, and to get that mean looking figure I have to spend almost as much as I did for the original? If that's the case I WANT MY MONEY BACK!! if for no other reason they false advertised.

Hair Conversion System Question

The Netherworks Hair conversion system such as this one that is now on sale: http://www.daz3d.com/hair-conversion-system-ii-for-victoria-4 list both DAZ Studio and Poser as compatible software byut the description seems to indicate that it relies on Poser Python scripts. Will it work satisfactorily in DS 4.9?

Collective3d Baseball Field add on's?

I have been intrested in the Collective3d Baseball Field but I do not know where to find any Baseball uniforms.

Is there any on the market? This Baseball field looks wonderful but if I purchase it. I would love to put some players on this field.

V4 has everything she could ever want and then some. More than any DAZ character ever made. If these sales are to help the Runtimedna vendors I get it. If it's to try to capture the last V4 stragglers... that wagon has rode out of town a long time ago.

The V4 buyers got hooked on Genesis 2 female. Then quick as a sneeze DAZ went to Genesis 3. Then another sneeze... everything IRAY.

Sloooooooooow it down. Just slow it down a tad. DAZ is always in a hurry to change it up all the time. It's why Daz Studio is constantly being updated.

You're now selling stuff to folks who made the jump to G2F but there's very little for her because DAZ jumped to the next thing so quickly. And IRAY has me thinking about Poser more and more. Everything high resolution and with IRAY shaders. Deal breakers.

Slow down.

Question about managing keyframes

I had a problem while draping a dynamic item with keys in my animation.

To get the best drape I went with the animation option, and started with one key at the first frame of my character in the "T" pose.

The last frame, at frame 45, was my character in the pose I wanted to use.

After resolving issues with my dynamic controls, I was able to get the drape I wanted, and I froze it.

Now I wanted to save this character as a subset without all the keyframes.

From past experience using keyframes in other software, if you only have two keyframes and you delete the other, the remaining keyframe should define the pose.

This did not seem to be the case. My attempt to delete the first key did not result in the other key pose being the shape result.

Also, I thought I could move the keyframe from frame 45 to frame 0, and that would work, but I was not able to reposition the key.

Is there a better way to get what I want here?

3D Universe Little Ones Not Showing As Purchased

I bought the MegaBundle and each one of the kids individually is NOT showing as purchased. Be careful, that's one of the featured stores and you may buy something you already have!

Didn't we complain about this particular product doing this AGES ago? It seems like it was already discussed?

Missing items in new V4 bundles

There are a number of items that are part of Bundles in the new V4 sale that seem to be missing, making the Bundles incomplete. For example this one:

The clothing for the M4/V4 "victims" seem to be part of the bundle, but not the pod itself (although it is mentioned in the description). Seems strange to have a Pod megabundle and no Pod!

Also in this bundle:

It mentions clothing for V4/M4 and K4, but only the K4 ones are listed in the bundle items.

Hmm, I'm a litte annoyed by recent sales. It's of course a nice thing for folks who are not invested in G3 yet to get pro and starter packs for a few dollars. But why does DAZ not throw in some extra discounts on the new releases for people who already own those packs? Seems that I have to pass.

Good thing that Maddelirium just came out with his second G3F figure on the other store. Very good skin and a steal for anybody with a prime subscription.

Okay so,

I exported a genesis 2 character using the obj format I have a pic below of the settings I used.

I've tried messing around with the surfaces but to be honest i have no idea what I'm doing.

I'm using the Amelie HD genesis 2 character She has no clothing or hair for right now (don't know if that's important or not sometimes I have issues exporting her with the clothes.)

This character is going into MMD, i import it into blender then I rexport it as an obj (I don't know why but that seems to be the only way I can keep my textures(minus the eye textures.)

Then I use metaquisoia export it as an X file (which is the file that MMD can read.)

Okay now she's in there ready to be rigged but...the eyes don't work...I tried reapplying the textures still nothing..

Most people that use MMD and have characters this high poly or similiar skin textures etc are game rips.

So I'm not sure if they would know the answer. Tried asking around on the deviantart websites they just say reapply the material which doens't work her eyes are still white.

In MMD the character is on different layers so I beleive that I'm applyng it to the right part of the character.

I got SY blue Ones Genesis 3 male and started to play with him. I opened his mouth and rendered and found his teeth black. I render a (so called) quick image to show that they are black in render too. (it took fifity some minutes to render)

Iray Uber Base Tutorial Spanish

I am interested in learning my way around the IRay materials so this tutorial found its way in to my basket. However when I went to check out it said 'in Spanish'. Could someone in the know clarify , is this only in Spanish or is it English too? It says available in Spanish, which to me does not rule out English being available

If it is Spanish only could I get a recommendation for a similar tutorial in English?

Perfect imperfections

Sometimes the 3d figures are too perfect. How about nails that are not well manicured? Nails that were once painted two weeks ago but the polish is coming off slowly? Nail morphs to make the nails looked chewed on or other reasons they are not perfect. Nail polish that is sloppily put on with polish on the skin and parts of the nails not have polish.

Make up that is put on too quickly and a tad sloppy with hair that has not seen a brush this morning or maybe yesterday?

What else could be done to make Victoria look sloppy? Dirty clothes with holes in them? By the way where are all the frumpy clothing that is full of wrinkles and messiness?

Alien Crowd Retexture Commission

I want 25% of figures color altered to look alien.
The remaining 25% can be left unchanged.

V4 Dragon Keeper outfit- DAZ or Poser?

I'm irritated. The bundle (hair and outfit) says "Poser only", the separate items (hair and outfit) say "DAZ and Poser". What is right?

Was tempted to get the bundle yesterday, didn't buy, because it said "Poser only", today no bundle, but separate items to buy, with different caption. DAZ should make up it's mind. Things like that keep me from buying.

The 4th of July sale

The sale states that if you buy so many particular items, you get an item from another selection for free.

Nice, except that I have no money.

But then I found there were new free items migrated over from RDNA and these free items happened to be in the 4th of July list.

So out of curiosity I added the free items to my list, then went to the sales free sub category and selected an item and it too showed up as free. Was this intentional?
