<p>Hey all.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any way to get the UV map that Daz uses for gen2 so I can make her outfit in Cinema 4d.&nbsp;&nbsp;Gen 2 models have so many polygon subdivisions that its very difficult to create an optimized UV map in Bodypaint 3D. (Its why Gen2 is so pretty).&nbsp; I&#39;m using Pusey&#39;s incredibly awesome G2F bodysuit for her outfit.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Yet Pusey was obviously able to make a perfect UV map&nbsp;for the&nbsp;bodysuit that takes and scales textures flawlessly.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I want to be able to do that too.&nbsp; The specific issues I&#39;m dealing with are one, the map often becomes a bunch of scraps (especially the legs and arms.&nbsp; Oddly the torso is the one thing I can make in bodypaint that&#39;s worth a darn), two there&#39;s huge amounts of overlap that I can&#39;t manually fix and three, the UV polygon size varies greatly so uniform material patterns don&#39;t look so uniform when they get projected on the 3d model.&nbsp;</p>

<p>If it helps I have all the Autodesk products (including Mudbox), Cinema 4d, Vegas Pro, Fusion 8, Unity Pro&nbsp;and most of the adobe products.&nbsp; I don&#39;t have after effects but IMO Fusion 8 is just as good. I don&#39;t have Zbrush but I do have Mudbox.&nbsp;&nbsp;I can&#39;t bring over rigs or textures correctly in the Fbx format.&nbsp; Collada (dae) works the best for me since the rigging works when exported.&nbsp; But it doesn&#39;t bring over the awesome Andorian Bob hair (by unavailable, I try to give credit but I need to know the artists name!).&nbsp; And there are other issues with dae formats.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>How do I fix that?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When fit to a G3 character, the SPEX Glasses tend to morph with whatever part of the body they&#39;re fitted to (whether the eyes are closed or open, or the bangs of hair), and it&#39;s proving to be rather annoying. Is there a way to freeze those transformations so that they don&#39;t morph at all, or is it hopeless? The SPEX set is rather amazing for its diversity, and I&#39;m a bit disappointed that there isn&#39;t a similar set for later versions of Genesis.</p>

I have a tricky situation and want to know the best way to go about this.&nbsp; We have a custom bodysuit clothing item we&#39;ve created and rigged to G3 in her default shape using the transfer utility.&nbsp; The bodysuit has a zipper down the middle.&nbsp; The shape of the character the bodysuit is intended for&nbsp;has some pretty serious cleavage, which is known to cause crazy distortion in the breast area (the suit will get tucked under the breasts and make a mess).&nbsp; We therefore want to be able to sculpt a shape for a &quot;zipper open&quot; morph against the character&#39;s body shape and then load it using the reverse deforms option in the Morph Loader Pro.&nbsp; The problem is that the suit will no longer have proper weight maps in the affected area of the morph, and also it seems to break autofollowing on G3&#39;s morphs in the affected area.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
My question is: What is the proper workflow for when you need to create a morph for clothes specific to a character&#39;s bodyshape?&nbsp; Currently my only guess is to make a similar morph for the default G3 shape, then sculpt a fix (which can get really messy for intricate morphs on extreme body shapes) to load via reverse deforms once the character shape has been applied.&nbsp; Is there an easier way to go about this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a pecculiar problem when rendering a certan g3f figure&nbsp;when she&nbsp;appears in a terradome environment, the lower eyelashes seem detached from where they should be and flattened against the character&#39;s cheeks under the eyes, At fitst I though this was just the shadow of the lashes against the cheeks, but it appears to be the lashes themselves with something going wrong. Any suggestions?</p>

<p>I wonder how can I stall content into DAZ from 3rd party, with the Install manager. I remember I had found a resource with the information on how to do it months a go, but I cant find it.</p>

<p>This method used the downloaded compressed files zip or rar and loads them directly into the install manager as they are, its a pretty quick process. I want to find out how to do it, I cant remember the details. Anybody knows? Its driving me crazy, friends haha.</p>

Note the right side of my workspace in the image: you can see the tab headings for Aux Viewport, Render Settings, etc. But on the left, you can&#39;t see them. There should be Content Library, Scene, Parameters, Surfaces, and several others. I don&#39;t know what I clicked on to make them disappear... but I want them back!&nbsp; :)&nbsp; I bet <a rel="nofollow" href="/forums/profile/RichardHaseltine">@RichardHaseltine</a> knows...</p>

It keeps failing to load as unsuitable program for Windows 10. I am thinking of getting a Chillblast Fusion GTX 1060 which has an &nbsp;i3-8100 16GB DDR 4 with 2400 MHz&nbsp; GPU&nbsp;is GTX 1060 with 6GB memory and storage is 250 GB SSD/ 2TB of HDD running Windows 10 Home. would this be&nbsp;sufficient to run DAZ3D? &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I have this great background piece by Ironman13 that I&#39;m trying to do a render with.&nbsp; For a variety of reasons, I need to do it in 3Delight.&nbsp; All of the materials are Iray, and I&#39;m wondering if there&#39;s any way to make them look more normal in 3Delight.&nbsp; As you can see, everything is weird, bumpy, and strangely reflective.&nbsp; I&#39;m sure it looks great in Iray, but again, I need to go a different route.&nbsp; If there is a way to fix this, I&#39;d love to know how.&nbsp; Thanks.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve recently purchased the Lune Nails for Genesis 3 Females product located at [<a href="https://www.daz3d.com/lune-nails-for-genesis-3-female-s" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/lune-nails-for-genesis-3-female-s</a> ]</p>

<p>I&#39;ve run inti a bit of an issue when trying to render the nails.&nbsp; (I&#39;m using IRAY.)</p>

<p>I&#39;ve applied the shape, texture and shader but the render doesn&#39;t come out right at all.&nbsp; In the main scene view the nails look perfect, but after rendering they come out completely white. You can see a slight texture on them but not really all that much!&nbsp; See the images below which will explain better :)</p>

<p>I have followed all instructions, and changed the UV maps to the LuneNails one.&nbsp; Everything appears fine until I attempt to render, then the nails always come out white.&nbsp; I&#39;ve use the American flag nails in this example, but I have tried multiple and the results always turn out the same.</p>

<p>Any ideas?&nbsp; It&#39;s probably something I&#39;ve missed but I really cant work it out!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have been using DS4.5 on Mountain Lion for a few weeks, but this morning my content library is empty.  The Smart Content tab is finding all my smart content, but my Content Library tab is finding nothing.  Any idea what may be the cause [or better yet, the solution] I closed and reopened the program and the problem is still there.</p>

<p>[edit] Fixed it!  I changed the workspace to a different one and then back again, and the content library reset to show the folders and content and search now works...odd.</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve just finished redoing my Daz runtime (thank you Daz for the simplicity). Now I&#39;m moving on to making my nightmarish Poser ones. What I&#39;m wondering, and yes I realize you can do it however you want, I&#39;m wondering if it really makes any difference whether you say, have a Victoria 4 top folder with sub folders of hair and clothing, etc, or since so many designers make clothes to fit V4, A4, G4, S4 too, and hair with some adjusting will fit any character, should I just put Clothes and Hair, etc in their own top folders outside of the V4 one??</p>

<p>- folders in program files with the download/install manager</p>

<p>- Folders in my documents (C:\Users\*****\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\etc. )</p>

<p>- Folders in c:\users\public\etc.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I tried putting my files in all those folders, and they never appear in DAZ despite all that...</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;m desperate. Hope somebody can tell me what I&#39;m doing wrong.</p>

   Did a search, but got no results, so I figured Id ask..<br />
Running Win 8.1 8GB RAM, ATI HD8670  Daz displays and renders fine, BUT what is driving me crazy is the way that when I have an object selected and go to make a parameter change (usually translations) using the parameters slider with the mouse,  either the focus will shift to another object in the scene, or the parameter change will be wildly exaggerated.. This makes composition a real pain, to say the least.<br />
Could this be related to the Win 8.1 mouse problems with games?</p>

<p>I work on a 2017 iMac running High Sierra.&nbsp;I picked up an Akitio Node and an Geforce GTX 1080 hoping to improve my rendering times but have been bogged in technicalities ever since. The Thunderbolt bus shows the Node, but not the card, and after a couple weeks of banging my head against the wall with various driver updates, hacky terminal commands and assorted other voodoo, that&#39;s still where I&#39;m at. Anyone here have any advice?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Been working on using the Texture Atlas on Markus Zombie. I&#39;ve collapsed the UVs before running the plugin, but am not sure how to get the Texture Atlas to work on all of Markus Zombie&#39;s maps. The last dialog for the plugin looks like this:</p>

<p>The list seems hard coded to be populated with 7 maps (no matter what the materials are). How do I populate the &quot;Created Images&quot; list with the maps that Markus Zombie actually uses?&nbsp;</p>

<p>When I run the plugin, I get the diffuse and bump maps created for the new atlas UVs, but in the case of Markus Zombie, need the Translucency Color, Glossy Layered Weight and Top Coat Weight maps as well.</p>

<p>Thanks in advance for any info anybody can provide.</p>

<p>Does anyone know if or how it is possible to set up custom keyboard shortcuts in 4.9? In particular, I want to have a ks that moves keyframe or animate2 on by 1 frame, thus making frame by frame adjustment quicker by a factor of 1 zillion!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m trying to make a model of a cliff wall for use in DAZ Studio. I&#39;m using Blender to create the model, but I&#39;m sure my problem isn&#39;t specific to Blender. The result is that the cliff looks good in Blender, but when I bring it into DAZ Studio and render with Iray, shadows in the shape of triangles appear scattered across the object&#39;s surface. These are the same <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/175211/what-causes-this-weird-render-issue-with-minotaur-6-hd">triangles</a> I&#39;ve seen before&nbsp;that can pop out of the shadows cast on Genesis 2 characters when they are rendered in Iray.</p>

<p>If you are familiar with the triangles I&#39;m talking about and know how to combat them, will you please tell me?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I need some help understanding what I&#39;m doing wrong with the transfer utility and/or geometry of models I&#39;m creating. I create geometry that fits the character, but when I run the transfer utility on it the geometry completely changes.&nbsp; Genarally speaking half of the geometry ends up inside the figure.&nbsp; I&#39;ve tried tight fitting the geometry to the figure and loose fitting the geometry to the figure, but the results are always wrong. &nbsp;I have looked at what feels like every tutorial on it, and done search after search, but I can&#39;t find a description of anything like this.&nbsp; I am new to this, and it makes it hard to even experiment with content creation when I can&#39;t even get the basics to work.</p>

<p>Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.</p>
