      <description><![CDATA[<p>I seem to recall seeing a converter product that would take clothing for M4 and converting it to fit M5 or back again, and for the Genesis line as well.</p>

<p>Am I dreaming? If not sure would like to know what it is and if the products don&#39;t exist can anyone suggest a process?</p>

<p>Basically I want to get clothing made for G2F to fit to Genesis Female for instance...or any other cross fit from one to the other.</p>

<p>Also from Male to Female and back again?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I found a video by Slosh on youtube where he shows you how to create metadata for Daz Studio. He uses the product Stylin&#39; for M4. I have that product so the thought I would try to do what he did. I have watched the video several times, and taken notes, but I keep getting stuck in one part. You open the Content DB editor. You select the glasses. You set the type to follower/accessories/head. Under Categories, you select the glasses and right click and select &quot;Add categorey to Selected Files&quot;. You are suppose to get a big list and from the list you are suppose to select &quot;Default/Accessories/Head. But I don&#39;t get the big list. I just get a box where I am suppose to type. I just tried it again. I thought maybe there was a little icon that I was suppose to click on to get the list, but I can&#39;t find one. It doesn&#39;t seem good that you would have to just type it in. You could make a mistake. Plus you don&#39;t know what all the existing Types are. So what am I missing?</p>

<p>There already is a compatibility listed. /Default/Lost and Found/Stylin for M4. I thought maybe because it existed that that was the reason I didn&#39;t get the big list, so I finally deleted it. But still no big list when I follow the steps. So I just cancelled and didn&#39;t save my changes.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi,</p>

<p>So I&#39;m new to Daz 3D. I was downloading and installing the Software (didn&#39;t know it&#39;d default and hog my C Drive);&nbsp;<br />
So I started downloading it to my D Drive (where I keep everything - it&#39;s pretty big) then I got a Computer Notice&nbsp;<br />
saying that I was running out of space on my C Drive. I don&#39;t mind, I can clean that up. But, I uninstalled the&nbsp;<br />
Software then re-installed it to my D Drive (yep, under the Installer Settings too). But, it wouldn&#39;t download the&nbsp;<br />
assets or anything cause it said they already existed on my drive. I just let it keep on doing its thing, I transitioned&nbsp;<br />
everything over to the D Drive but the Assets are still corrupted. I tried dragging and dropping the .duf files into&nbsp;<br />
Daz 3D to help it attach itself. It worked with some but 90% of the Software is still corrupt.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Howdy, I&#39;ve had this new computer for a couple of months now and already Daz products have&nbsp;filled my main C&nbsp;drive (256Gb SSD) and DIM can&#39;t install anything else (which is how I found out) - except I also have a 4TB D&nbsp;drive in my computer aswell...!</p>

<p>How do I get Daz to start installing things there and using them properly? Please... :)</p>

<p>Do I have to uninstall Daz and relocate it to D drive? Just the program or the whole lot oif installed files too?</p>

<p>How do I do that, if anyone knows, please?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I noticed when I was looking for the Duplicate error on another figure that there were some errors about this product and Growing up. The errors say that morphs could not be found. I followed that path for both and it appears to be looking for the morphs in the Daz content directory under Data. I have confirmed that they are not there, if that is where it is indeed looking. The path starts with \Data, so there are a few choices.</p>

<p>However both of this products were installed through Connect, so shouldn&#39;t it be looking in the connect folder? There is a \data folder in Connect, but there are just two folders inside it and one of them is Cloud and that&#39;s where everything is. And the path is definitely NOT \data\cloud</p>

<p>Could it be that these products aren&#39;t really Connect compliant?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I&#39;m having a bit of a problem of getting a shader to work.</p>

<p>Long story short; I&#39;m trying to make a werewolf animation where a character turns into another creature.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Typical scenario; moon rises, transformation goes on, person turns into other creature.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have 3 shaders that work with different areas of the body; I have a shader for the torso, limbs, and face.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Here&#39;s the issue; what I want to do is have the texture change based around the position of a single object in the scene, preferably one that is not the genesis figure that I&#39;m loading this shader mixer onto.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Here&#39;s the overview (no I don&#39;t have a screenshot as I have nowhere to host said screenshot at the moment) :</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>There&#39;s a tiler brick that has its S and T values plugged into a pair of image map bricks. One contains the starting texture, and the other the ending texture. These go into a mix brick&#39;s base and layer values, respectively. The result of the mix brick then goes out to the default material brick, which then goes out to the surface brick.</p>

<p>now, as goes the alpha value of the mix brick, which actually controls the fade from one image into the other, I&#39;m at a snag.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Previously I&#39;d been using either a brick that returns the number of the current frame in the timeline (by using a fixed variable brick set to frame number) but this will only let the transition in texture go from one frame to another.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I also tried using an altitude brick. Issue is that this only returns the altitude of the figure or object that the shader is loaded onto, and only its altitude in relevance to either: A: another point on the figure, or B: the figure&#39;s relevant position to the rest of the scene, which means that if I try to, say, put the character in an elevator, or just elevate the character and scene simulatenously, the texture won&#39;t transition unless the character is the only figure in the scene, as the altitude brick only gets the figure&#39;s altitude relevant to all other objects in the scene, and not the scene environment itself (IE I could put the figure in an elevator and have the figure and elevator both move up, but because the figure moves up at the same rate as the elevator the figure&#39;s altitude in relevance to the elevator doesn&#39;t change, so the altitude brick doesn&#39;t return a different value).</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I also know about the point brick and distance brick but the problem is that, again, the only way I know of to get any position data from a figure in the scene in the form of an integer or floating point value is the altitude brick, which still runs into the same problem as before; no change in altitude relevant to all other items in the scene == no changing value == static value to compare a point against == no change in texture.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I also know about the position brick, under &quot;default modules ----&gt; state&quot;, but I don&#39;t know how to use it. It&#39;s output is labelled &quot;P&quot;, but it won&#39;t seem to plug into any other bricks, including the point brick or variable brick, I have no idea if the position brick has been depricated or not (whether it&#39;s still a usable brick) and the page for it on the support page won&#39;t load for me for some reason so I can&#39;t read the documentation on it either.</p>

<p>To sum this much up; I know what I need: a brick that will return a value that I can manipulate via an object in the scene. If I had an altitude brick that I could feed the altitude value of, say, a null or primitive object in the scene into (an object OTHER THAN the figure/object that the shader is being applied to) and then change said null or primitive&#39;s height, that&#39;d do fine, but I don&#39;t know how to do this.</p>

<p>What the model calls its X axis, for example, I want to relable as it&#39;s Y axis.</p>

<p>I often import models from other platforms and the models get imported sideways and/or backwards and so on. And when I rotate them to proper orientation in DS, the axes labels are then confusing. So it would be nice to be able to re-label the axes for consistency.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a problem with copying/mirroring hand poses... whenever I pose a hand and then try the Symmetery option (Shift-Y), nothing happens...</p>

<p>I&#39;ve never figured out how to mirror hand poses. &nbsp;What am I missing here? It&#39;s annoying to have to pose each hand individually, when you&#39;re going for the same pose.</p>

<p>Hey all.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any way to get the UV map that Daz uses for gen2 so I can make her outfit in Cinema 4d.&nbsp;&nbsp;Gen 2 models have so many polygon subdivisions that its very difficult to create an optimized UV map in Bodypaint 3D. (Its why Gen2 is so pretty).&nbsp; I&#39;m using Pusey&#39;s incredibly awesome G2F bodysuit for her outfit.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Yet Pusey was obviously able to make a perfect UV map&nbsp;for the&nbsp;bodysuit that takes and scales textures flawlessly.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I want to be able to do that too.&nbsp; The specific issues I&#39;m dealing with are one, the map often becomes a bunch of scraps (especially the legs and arms.&nbsp; Oddly the torso is the one thing I can make in bodypaint that&#39;s worth a darn), two there&#39;s huge amounts of overlap that I can&#39;t manually fix and three, the UV polygon size varies greatly so uniform material patterns don&#39;t look so uniform when they get projected on the 3d model.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>If it helps I have all the Autodesk products (including Mudbox), Cinema 4d, Vegas Pro, Fusion 8, Unity Pro&nbsp;and most of the adobe products.&nbsp; I don&#39;t have after effects but IMO Fusion 8 is just as good. I don&#39;t have Zbrush but I do have Mudbox.&nbsp;&nbsp;I can&#39;t bring over rigs or textures correctly in the Fbx format.&nbsp; Collada (dae) works the best for me since the rigging works when exported.&nbsp; But it doesn&#39;t bring over the awesome Andorian Bob hair (by unavailable, I try to give credit but I need to know the artists name!).&nbsp; And there are other issues with dae formats.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When fit to a G3 character, the SPEX Glasses tend to morph with whatever part of the body they&#39;re fitted to (whether the eyes are closed or open, or the bangs of hair), and it&#39;s proving to be rather annoying. Is there a way to freeze those transformations so that they don&#39;t morph at all, or is it hopeless? The SPEX set is rather amazing for its diversity, and I&#39;m a bit disappointed that there isn&#39;t a similar set for later versions of Genesis.</p>

I have a tricky situation and want to know the best way to go about this.&nbsp; We have a custom bodysuit clothing item we&#39;ve created and rigged to G3 in her default shape using the transfer utility.&nbsp; The bodysuit has a zipper down the middle.&nbsp; The shape of the character the bodysuit is intended for&nbsp;has some pretty serious cleavage, which is known to cause crazy distortion in the breast area (the suit will get tucked under the breasts and make a mess).&nbsp; We therefore want to be able to sculpt a shape for a &quot;zipper open&quot; morph against the character&#39;s body shape and then load it using the reverse deforms option in the Morph Loader Pro.&nbsp; The problem is that the suit will no longer have proper weight maps in the affected area of the morph, and also it seems to break autofollowing on G3&#39;s morphs in the affected area.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
My question is: What is the proper workflow for when you need to create a morph for clothes specific to a character&#39;s bodyshape?&nbsp; Currently my only guess is to make a similar morph for the default G3 shape, then sculpt a fix (which can get really messy for intricate morphs on extreme body shapes) to load via reverse deforms once the character shape has been applied.&nbsp; Is there an easier way to go about this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a pecculiar problem when rendering a certan g3f figure&nbsp;when she&nbsp;appears in a terradome environment, the lower eyelashes seem detached from where they should be and flattened against the character&#39;s cheeks under the eyes, At fitst I though this was just the shadow of the lashes against the cheeks, but it appears to be the lashes themselves with something going wrong. Any suggestions?</p>

<p>I wonder how can I stall content into DAZ from 3rd party, with the Install manager. I remember I had found a resource with the information on how to do it months a go, but I cant find it.</p>

<p>This method used the downloaded compressed files zip or rar and loads them directly into the install manager as they are, its a pretty quick process. I want to find out how to do it, I cant remember the details. Anybody knows? Its driving me crazy, friends haha.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, everyone. I hope this&#39;ll be an easy one. Note the right side of my workspace in the image: you can see the tab headings for Aux Viewport, Render Settings, etc. But on the left, you can&#39;t see them. There should be Content Library, Scene, Parameters, Surfaces, and several others. I don&#39;t know what I clicked on to make them disappear... but I want them back!&nbsp; :)&nbsp; I bet <a rel="nofollow" href="/forums/profile/RichardHaseltine">@RichardHaseltine</a> knows...</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>What is the minimum specifications for a PC to enable it to run Daz3d Studio v4.9 ?&nbsp; I am having trouble on a Windows 10 pc with a CPU that is only an i3 550 @ 3.20 GHz with a memory of only 6 GB 64bit and a GPU Nividea GeForce GT 420. It keeps failing to load as unsuitable program for Windows 10. I am thinking of getting a Chillblast Fusion GTX 1060 which has an &nbsp;i3-8100 16GB DDR 4 with 2400 MHz&nbsp; GPU&nbsp;is GTX 1060 with 6GB memory and storage is 250 GB SSD/ 2TB of HDD running Windows 10 Home. would this be&nbsp;sufficient to run DAZ3D? &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I have this great background piece by Ironman13 that I&#39;m trying to do a render with.&nbsp; For a variety of reasons, I need to do it in 3Delight.&nbsp; All of the materials are Iray, and I&#39;m wondering if there&#39;s any way to make them look more normal in 3Delight.&nbsp; As you can see, everything is weird, bumpy, and strangely reflective.&nbsp; I&#39;m sure it looks great in Iray, but again, I need to go a different route.&nbsp; If there is a way to fix this, I&#39;d love to know how.&nbsp; Thanks.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve recently purchased the Lune Nails for Genesis 3 Females product located at [<a href="https://www.daz3d.com/lune-nails-for-genesis-3-female-s" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/lune-nails-for-genesis-3-female-s</a> ]</p>

<p>I&#39;ve run inti a bit of an issue when trying to render the nails.&nbsp; (I&#39;m using IRAY.)</p>

<p>I&#39;ve applied the shape, texture and shader but the render doesn&#39;t come out right at all.&nbsp; In the main scene view the nails look perfect, but after rendering they come out completely white. You can see a slight texture on them but not really all that much!&nbsp; See the images below which will explain better :)</p>

<p>I have followed all instructions, and changed the UV maps to the LuneNails one.&nbsp; Everything appears fine until I attempt to render, then the nails always come out white.&nbsp; I&#39;ve use the American flag nails in this example, but I have tried multiple and the results always turn out the same.</p>

<p>Any ideas?&nbsp; It&#39;s probably something I&#39;ve missed but I really cant work it out!</p>
