      <description><![CDATA[<p>Does anybody know if DForce allows applying it from a certain keyframe? I have an issue where the hair collides with the&nbsp; hand and then explodes. It is specific to the seated pose where the hand supports the head (imagine someone sad). I applied DForce simulation to the animation where the model just walks without touching the hair, it works just fine. My animation starts with the seated pose, then rising and walking. So can I apply DForce from the moment she stands up and starts the walk? Or perhaps I might play with some collision settings to avoid the explosion? Thank you.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I am back again. :P So I am again having the same problum as before. Some of my models go through and so cause my daz studio to Freeze up,. I am trying to create a wearable helmet for my character, but as I go through the process of using the transfer utility it freezes on 22%. I dont know what is causing it. I have tried everything I can think of.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I want to export clothes only, but I want that the clothes keep their fitting. When I keep Genesis in the scene (even when hidden or not selected)&nbsp;and export as FBX, the genesis model is part of the export no matter whether I chose to export only selected&nbsp;or visible. So I have to delete the Genesis model, but then the fitting is gone. Is there a solution for this problem?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all. Not sure if I&#39;m posting this on the correct forum, so if it needs to be moved, I appologize for that. My question is, when using dual cards for IRay, is there some specific setting or workout that needs to be done in order for Daz Studio to use both cards? I am looking into purchasing another GPU next month when the Nvidia releases a new series, so I have not been able test out two cards at once. I have read that SLI is not recommended for Iray, so I won&#39;t have SLI mode on, except for gaming.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Basically what I&quot;m asking, is it complicated to get 2 cards working together for Iray, or is it something simple (or it auto detects two)? Thank you all in advance and have a happy Monday.&nbsp;</p>

As with other&nbsp;characters I have there are multiple options to add shapes, make up etc and they all work, but when I try to change skin tone nothing happens. I&#39;m still pretty new to Daz Studio so I might be missing something or doing it in the wrong order, could someone who has this product or understands what I should do please explain to me, I would really appreciate it.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I.ll admit I.m a noob to this, but this has me puzzled.</p>

<p>If I make a cube primative, say, I can rotate, pan and zoom the camera around with no problem.</p>

<p>However when I import a not very complex object I can still rotate the camera but pan and zoom do not work,</p>

<p>that applies to both mouse and keyboard inputs, any ideas anyone?</p>

<p>Apologies if similar have been asked. I acuired a new asset and in Texture mode all is fine. Once i do an Aux Viewport or Render it comes out black.</p>

<p>I have the DA Lighting environment asset activated so there is light. I am guessing it&#39;s a keyboard command or somehting i need to press to light this up for Render/Aux viewport?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Has anyone else noticed that sending a genesis 8 female (I don&#39;t have the male yet) to Zbrush via GoZ results in&nbsp;a strange artifact. The first time I&nbsp;use GoZ to send a G8f figure to Zbrush it works fine, the character and any conformed figures such as the eyelashes get sent to Zbrush as individual subtools. However, if I close Zbrush and send the figure again, then only the eyelashes appear as subtools (three copies of them!!)</p>

<p>I can work around this by clearing the GoZ cache, either manually or from within Zbrush, after which the figure will transfer normally (once). What is going on here? Something strange about the eyelashes? Is there a more permanent solution?</p>

<p>I successfully imported a landscape in .Obj format. I add the Diffuse texture in Texture view and it displays properly. When I switch to Iray view, a heavy white or black haze overlays the diffuse texture. (Depending on the color I set for Diffuse. This occurs before and after I apply the Uber shader. I played with the settings, but cannot make the haze disappear.</p>

<p>Any suggestions appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>The GoZ Addon keeps shutting down Zbrush whenever I try to upload from Daz3D.<br />
<br />
Even a fresh and most basic sphere cannot be transferred.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
This was working before 2018.1 came out.<br />
<br />
I really need some help in trying to get it to work again, anyone know how?<br />
<br />
Here are some things to know before giving an answer:<br />
<br />
- Freshly installed a few times, did not work.<br />
- Operating System is not at fault.<br />
- Not using other programs that may cause conflicts in tandem: Hexagon, Bryce, Maya, etc.<br />
- Zbrush works just fine as a whole, models can be made and used as normal. Just GoZ is broken.<br />
<br />
Any help is greatly appreciated. I use the GoZ Addon a lot, but now I don&#39;t know what is going on.<br />
<br />
From what I can tell lots of people on art forums and CG forums, have been having issues with GoZ in the newest update to Daz3D.<br />
<br />
Sadly, no answer have been given to the solution that may help.<br />
<br />
I got commissions I need to do soon, and I can&#39;t work if GoZ won&#39;t work.</p>

<p>I asked for the same help in the Zbrush forums, but someone has told me the problem isnt with Zbrush but with Daz3D.</p>

<p>I am pretty lost sadly in trying to locate the possible problem.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I change a skin texture in photoshop. Now I want the results to rapidly show up in IRAY render. This is what I normally do:</p>

<p>1. I switch to texture shaded.<br />
2. I right click surfaces and click refresh.<br />
3. I switch back to NVIDIA Iray render and it reloads everything. This gets the new texture to show up.<br />
<br />
Is there a way to speed up this process?</p>

<p>I tried &quot;automatically refresh images&quot; setting under surfaces, but it doesn&#39;t work.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I can&#39;t post an image at the moment, but I&#39;ve had a recurring issue of the outline around the Lip Surface being visible when using the default/plain lips materials. What settings can I adjust to remedy or mitigate this? It happens on Victoria 8 and some other skins I&#39;ve tried.</p>

<p>I&#39;m using G8F in DS 4.9 on Windows 10. Help!</p>

<p>I had added some displacement to the lips and changed the Face and Lips Normals settings; so, I just went back to the stock settings.</p>

      <title>DIM and Daz Studio Reinstall Troubles.</title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently had to wipe and reinstall my main drive.&nbsp; This included the OS as well as Daz Studio, DIM, Hexagon, etc.&nbsp; What I didn&#39;t have to reinstall was my Daz Studio Content.&nbsp; Since I use and SSD for my main drive, the content is on a second HDD.&nbsp; I reset the pathway in DIM to the correct folder on the second drive. I set the Content Libraries in Daz Studio and Re-imported the Metadata.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After all that, everything is great in Daz Studio.&nbsp; My Content library is there, My Smart Content works.&nbsp; It&#39;s good.</p>

<p>The problem is in DIM.&nbsp; At the moment, everything is listed as Ready to Download, instead of installed.&nbsp; I double checked the paths and even downloaded a package to make sure it&#39;s going to the right place, and it is.&nbsp; I&#39;m not going to re-download and reinstall&nbsp;2500+ products that I have installed already.&nbsp; I could just &quot;Hide&quot; the packages, but I&#39;m concerend about missing an update if DIM thinks the product is &quot;hidden&quot; instead of &quot;installed&quot;.</p>

<p>Is there anyway to convince DIM to check the /runtime/support folder to see if something&#39;s already installed?&nbsp; Any suggestions are welcome.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So like my signature says I have 16Gb of RAM and a 1080ti. So when I render, the most I have been able to use on the 1080ti is around 7 or 8 Gb, beyond that, once RAM memory usage hits around 15Gb, either DS drops to CPU render, DS crashes, or the whole computer freezes. So my question is how much system RAM would I need to fully utilize the 1080ti? I&#39;d hate to buy 32, then find out I needed 48 or something. Oh, and my slots are full, 4Gb x 4, so I&#39;d have to replace them completely.</p>

<p>Although I do have a lot of stuff running, I shut down all the memory hogs, Firefox especially. So when system RAM usage is 15Gb or more, DS is using like 14 of that.</p>

      <title>Custom Character - Gen 3 Clone?</title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi there! I&#39;m relatively new to DAZ, and I&#39;m usually pretty good with figuring technical stuff out...but I&#39;ve hit a roadblock on a couple things. I&#39;ve been trying to recreate characters as part of fanart, and one character in particular has rather unique facial geometry in the form of brow stalks and bone spurs along the jawline. My initial thought was to try and sculpt Gen 3 and create morphs, however I am also very new to that concept. I know that I cannot alter the geometry in any way and be able to load the morph back into DAZ. But upon sculpting with zBrush (I&#39;m new there too, but learning), I noticed that just tugging and pulling the existing geometry where I wished resulted in...not so nice pixelation in DAZ later. The topography was just too stretched. I want to -add- geometry using the dynamic capabilities in zBrush. Ideally, I want to slice the specific topography from the in-game model and sculpt it right in (because that looks the best and keeps me as accurate as possible to recreating my loved in-game character). I was able to do this with zBrush, and the model looked great...however, as you can imagine, that also broke my ability to load the alterations as a morph.&nbsp;</p>

<p>So, I moved on to the next step. Or thought. Or possibility? This character body is still Gen 3 in shape. 100%. I was able to use the Transfer Utility to get my customized character rigged up and working as far as facial expressions and posing. That was relatively easy, because this is a character that is for all intents and purposes, Gen 3 with just a few bone spurs added onto the face (in terms of shape). UV mapping and everything works - I just have to create new groups for the geometry I added (that&#39;s the least of my concerns at this point - I just want to get this guy working mechnically first). What I can&#39;t for the life of me figure out...is how to fit my catalog of clothing to him. I was hoping there was a way to make the clothing just follow a Gen 3 clone or something...because like I said, his shape is that of Gen 3 (obviously customized using proprietary and purchased morphs from the shop). Is this a possibility? Is there a way to make DAZ recognize this as a Gen 3 character? It should be noted that this is for my personal use completely and in no way will be shared. I just want to make fanart.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;ve attached a screenshot of them side-by-side (Gen 3 to the &quot;No Longer Gen 3&quot; character). I still need to fix the UV mapping and work on the rest of his face, but as I said, I won&#39;t even bother if I can&#39;t get all this to work. But at least this gives an idea of the geometry and how close they are. I just really don&#39;t want to have to live with a stretched-looking morph, but I will if I have to.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a new computer with a small SSD with Windows on it and a 1TB HD for files. What is the way to move D/S and it&#39;s files to the new computer from the old which has everything on the C drive? Is there a way to do it and still keep the layout and plugins the way they are? Surely this has been covered before, but I can&#39;t seem to find any discussion about it.</p>

      <title>GenX2 Expression Transfer: GF2 to GF3</title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve tried using GenX2 to transfer some expression presets from GF2 to GF3. All use only base morphs for GF2. The process I&#39;m using for doing one preset at a time:</p>

<p>Load GF2, apply preset<br />
Source: GF2<br />
Target: GF3<br />
Mode: Create single morph<br />
Select: Get values from sigure in scene<br />
Select: Transfer On: for all non zero</p>

<p>Clicking on transfer gets me to the naming dialog, and I enter a name. The expression is created, and when applied only some of the face morphs are present.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve also tried using the Preset tab, but I always get an error that the constituent morphs cannot be found. The docs say the morphs must be selected in the Transfer tab, and even when I&#39;m sure they are selected (like lip pucker), but the error says the morphs cannot be found. There is a file created but it&#39;s mostly empty.&nbsp;&nbsp;This happens with any set of G2F expressions.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Other morph moving parts of GenX2 seem to be working fine.&nbsp;</p>
