      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello! I am currently working on a project and I have an .obj that I created in Marvelous Designer. I converted it to quads and imported it into Daz. When it imports, it&#39;s positioned correctly on my mesh. However, when I use the Transfer Utility tool, it moves my object down and does not map currently (please refer to image). Not sure exactly what I am doing wrong. Is there something wrong with my mesh? Has anyone else had this problem?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Does anyone have an idea on how to turn an MMD(Miku Miku Dance) clothing item exported as an object file,imported into DAZ as an object&nbsp; and get it to fit a DAZ character? I have tried using the transfer utility but the obj comes out of MMD turned 180 degrees out on the Y axis so even if I turn it around in DAZ it goes right back to that orientation in the transfer utility. It also is scaled very small in the x axis after using the transfer utility&nbsp; and does not allow for a simple upscaling of the x axis without horribly deforming it. I have not tried morph loader because the clothes were made different figures with dramatically diferent shapes. I know I am not using the right steps, could anybody suggest the correct process? Thank you so much!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Alright, this problem is driving me absolutely bonkers. The download speed goes up to 6 MB&rsquo;s and then drops back down to nothing before it says download failed! It&rsquo;s done this for the last few days on every single file! I&rsquo;ve tried messing with my security on my computer and even talked to my internet provider. This isn&rsquo;t an external problem. Why is the installer doing this?</p>

<p>p.s. I&rsquo;m not the only one with this problem. My friend is having the same issue.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m in the middle of adding some new cards into my&nbsp;system and am curious on your thoughts on a potentially silly idea.<br />
<br />
If I was to put 4x 1080ti cards into the following slots. (two in&nbsp;16x, one in&nbsp;8x, one in&nbsp;4x) that would still leave me two 1x slots on the board.<br />
<br />
I have a couple of spare 980ti cards left over from an old build in theory&nbsp;if I added a them into&nbsp;the 1x slots&nbsp;using the 1x riser cables you get in mining rigs&nbsp;would it render slower due to slower cards sitting in uber slow slots bottlenecking the hell of of things,&nbsp;or would it speed things up due to having access to an extra 5k cores from the 980ti cards? &nbsp;Or have I missed something and this just would not work?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I purhcased various face morphs and by mixing &amp; matching a dozen or more of them, I was able to create unique looking characters (5% of morph #1, 12% of morph #2, 7% of morph #3, etc.). The problem is that by including all of these morphs, each character is now 40-60MEG in size. Is there a SIMPLE way that I can convert my character to be it&#39;s own character taking up less space?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, does anyone else have this issue with being unable to select multiple nodes in Keymate?</p>

<p>I know it is or was possible as I&#39;ve seen it in the tutorials.&nbsp; Presenter said use control key to select multiple nodes which is what I would have thought.</p>

<p>Unable to select more than one node in the Keymate tab.&nbsp; If I select multiple nodes in the scene tab only the last one is selected in Keymate.</p>

<p>Rather frustrating for what I am trying to do which is set keyframes or a bunch of nodes with no common parent.....</p>

<p>Also while I am here, Keymate seems to hear and create a keyframe for changes to transformations but not pose controls?&nbsp; Should I not be using pose controls when working with Keymate?</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to think of a way to go about explaining what I&#39;m hoping to do, so please forgive me if I leave out any details. I recently purchased Swole 7, which thanks to specific JCMs, bends and poses beautifully for such a large-framed figure. I have a character that I would very much love to use these JCMs on - however, the actual Swole 7 shape is not something that fits him. Rather than &quot;bodybuilder&quot;, he is more &quot;strongman&quot; in body type...if that makes any sense. Less oily muscles and stage lighting, but equally as large. He suffers from the same bending and posing problems, especially in the upper arms/inner elbows and the side of the neck (there&#39;s an actual fold there...eek). Is there any way to use the Swole 7 JCMs on him? When I created him, I did select Swole 7 as a base, however I&#39;m not using the actual Swole 7 body shape, which the JCMs appear to be dependent upon in order to activate when you pose the figure. I&#39;ve attached some screenshots to hopefully illustrate what I&#39;m looking at.</p>

<p>First attachment - Swole 7 (left) vs my character (right) - note the awful posing problems in the upper arms/inner elbows on my character (and that awful neck fold) contrasted against the beautiful bending on Swole 7<br />
Second attachment - Swole 7 JCMs active on Swole 7<br />
Third attachment - Swole 7 JCMs not active on my character (if I were to dial in the Swole 7 body, then they would activate - however that would change my character&#39;s body (obvs))</p>

<p>I&#39;m not sure if it needs to be said, but this is for my own personal use and would not be shared, etc.</p>

<p>Oh, and I also have SimTenero&#39;s Zone Smoother - which helps with the inner elbows, but does nothing for the upper arm or neck. It&#39;s an amazing concept and I use it on other characters, but there&#39;s just too much icky folding for that to fix here.</p>

<p>I put together a LAMH model of a wolf in Daz and have been trying to export it as an FBX and open it in C4D.</p>

<p>When I do so the model looks like this with bulging eyes as well as being a little bit offset from the fur&nbsp;</p>

<p>Anyone know a fix? I&#39;m guessing it has something to do with the textures. Thank you!!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m not sure what product Zebra belonged to because I can&#39;t find it. When I search the products it appears Millenium Horse is no longer being sold. So I am confused, probably my own fault but I&#39;m not finding anything in my library nor the store for Zebra.</p>

<p>As far as I can tell the Zebra was offered with Millenium Horse.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I sometimes need to copy a surface using the Copy/Paste pop-up menu in the Suirfaces tab. But these days a number of Iray-based surace have one or more limits removed. Copying from non-limited surface to a limited one doesn&#39;t set the destination to non-limited.</p>

<p>I could write the script myself but I thought I&#39;d check first. Or maybe there&#39;s a Secret Sauce shortcut to untick the Limit settings on all the nodes for a given surface. D|S has a lot of Easter Egg features, but there&#39;s only so much time in the day to hunt for them.</p>

<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;I have hundreds of assets that I&#39;ve accumulated over time, and I did a half-ass job of installing them: I placed&nbsp;them into a &quot;assets&quot;&nbsp;folder in my documents and used the content directory manager to install them to Daz. The problem is, that now it&#39;s a ROYAL pain to find the items that I need, when I need them, and it completely throws my workflow off. I&#39;d like to correctly install the assets into &quot;My Library&quot; in order to take advantage of the category function, but now I can&#39;t get rid of my old folders that are empty and just sitting in the directory listing. I&#39;ve tried using &quot;rest database&quot;, but it does nothing to the list.&nbsp;I know I can go to each individual folder and right-click &gt; remove base directory. But I was wondering if there was a way to remove them all at once instead of clicking through hundreds of folders to delete them, only to have the list collapse and have to re-open it for each one. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I&#39;m currenty running 4.10 Pro. Thak&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I was inquiring with EVGA before starting the puchase of new video card(s) - we discussed using 2 cards with an SLI Bridge, and the tech person said DAZ would have to support it or it would be a waste of money.</p>

<p>Does anyone know if DAZ (current version) supports SLI bridges and will allow the &#39;spread&#39; of tasking across both cards? &nbsp;My thinking is this will help speed up renders at the higher resolutions and more complex set ups and such.</p>

<p>So i&#39;ve researched this topic before and there seems to be an issue coming up with CMS which I&#39;ll get to...</p>

<p>I recently had to re-install daz and install content on a secondary drive because my SSD was filling up.</p>

<p>1. I Installed the DAZ app on my main drive program files folder (which I think was correct)</p>

<p>2. I set conent to be downloaded to a secondary drive - however, instead of all the content being organized into &quot;scene, runtime, etc&quot; it&#39;s just a big stringout of XML files and ZIP Files.</p>

<p>3. When i open DAZ and connect the content library, i get everything showing up in my smart content so I think i did it right - HOWEVER, when I try to autofit anything, there is always an &quot;unsupported&quot; option with no genesis autofit options available (when normally I&#39;d have all of the options).</p>

<p>- I&#39;m wondering if this has to do with my CMS settings and if i need to install somewhere specifically - OR if this has something to do with the content library folder not being organized...</p>

<p>I have modelled a hat, and on the hat, there are roses.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I exported the hat and the roses as separate OBJs.</p>

<p>When I imported the hat on Genesis 8 Female, it snapped right onto the head because I modelled the hat &quot;on&quot; the model in ZBrush.</p>

<p>However, when I import the roses, they are obviously placed at 0, 0 although I modelled them &quot;on&quot; the hat (in the same location), so they&#39;re at her feet.</p>

<p>I could set the roses&#39; translation manually, but I&#39;m not sure if that&#39;s what I should do.</p>

<p>Can anybody suggest how this should be handled?</p>

<p>I would like to ask if somebody could recommend a tutorial on how to save clothes properly if one wants to publish a product.</p>

<p>So far I haven&#39;t been able to locate one.</p>

<p>I have been able to find a tutorial on how to save a model for publishing, but not for clothes.</p>

<p>My product contains a model with a skirt, shirt and a hat.</p>

<p>The hat is composed of a &quot;base&quot;, then there are roses and leaves on the hat.</p>

<p>I would therefore also like to ask if all 3 &quot;items&quot; should be saved as one prop or as 3 different props so that the user can hide either the roses, the leaves or both.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I think about getting myself a (used) iMac with an NVIDIA graphics card since iray with AMD Radeon graphics cards is a lot slower than 3Delight, plus dForce doesn&#39;t work on Macs although they have openCL installed (tested it successfully with a benchmark by intel).</p>

<p>My question is: what NVIDIA graphics card should I get?&nbsp;There are so many out there. Are they all the same for rendering purposes? Here is a list of card&nbsp;I have found in older iMacs (the newer only&nbsp;offer AMD Radeon):</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Still in the process of setting up my new computer, I went looking for Generation X2 in Daz Studio 4.10.</p>

<p>It&#39;s not showing in the Panes tab. So I read the manual:&nbsp;</p>

<blockquote>
<p>In some cases, GenX might be missing in the main menu of DS4. This may happen due to<br />
menu customization. In that case, use Edit/Customize from the main menu and add the<br />
GenX entry on the left side under Panes to the main menu on the right side. It also helps<br />
usually to select a different layout or reset the current layout for the workspace.</p>

<p>So I followed these instructions (it&#39;s Window / Workspace / Customize now) and tried to find it in there.</p>

<p>It&#39;s not showing up anywhere.</p>

<p>Uninstalled. Re-installed. Re-installed using the downloaded files instead of install manager. Changed to different layouts as also recommended.</p>

<p>Any idea where I go from here? I&#39;m missing my X2. :`-(</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am using Daz 4.10 with a GTX 1060 6Gb for GPU renders (no monitors/displays&nbsp;attached) and I have a basic Radeon 1Gb for driving my monitors/displays. When I use Task manager, I see GPU usage jumps from 0 to 2Gb just on launching&nbsp;DAZ, even before any scene&nbsp;is loaded or created. Can anybody explain why 2Gb of GPU is used on my render card before I even render and if this will limit&nbsp;the render capacity to just 4 instead of 6Gb effective GPU when I start my render, i.e. will a scene over 4Gb fail even though I have a 6Gb card?</p>

<p>When I open up some panes, the navigation controls of the viewport (Single View) get hidden under the AuxViewport.</p>

<p>When I switch the ViewPort to &quot;Side by Side&quot;, the yellow frame gets into the correct position again, and the navigation controls are shown, but I would like to have Single View.</p>

<p>Is there a way around this behaviour?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Got a typical situation of changing computers and screwing up the locations of directories (because I didn&#39;t know enough to keep my own custom content inside the content directory provided by DAZ).</p>

<p>So now I&#39;ve got a directory full of content that relies on morphs that are not in a location the scene can find when the scene is loaded.</p>

<p>Just wondering, based on this screenshot, what are these file locations relative to? In other words, what comes before the word &quot;data&quot;?</p>

<p>So here&#39;s the installation:</p>

<p>Daz is installed in the public documents directory as it does by default.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The directory with the scene is in my Documents. The folder is linked in the content directory manager as it is supposed to be, so I can load most of the stuff from the folder, just not the morphs.</p>

<p>And I can&#39;t remember why there is cube going through him, lol. Must have had some kind of plan in mind!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have Daz on my system in the location it defaults--I&#39;ve installed everything using the install manager with no modification to the default settings. This puts it in the Public Documents folder.</p>

<p>Suppose I have a folder in Documents (in my user) with all my scenes, imported props (I model props), clothing I&#39;ve created, and presets for characters I made with, say, Genesis, using lots of DAZ morph dials. My scenes also have morphs applied from the Genesis morph dials, even including fancy Genesis morphs from packs I&#39;ve bought and were installed in Daz through the install manager. This folder is mapped in the Content Directory Manager and things work just fine. Let&#39;s call this directory &quot;<em>Bob Content</em>&quot;. The key piece of information about <em>Bob Content</em> is that I&#39;m saving scenes with a DAZ figure&#39;s morphs in it.</p>

<p>QUESTIONS</p>

<p>1. Should I do it this way, or is there a recommended place to put stuff I&#39;ve created so that it migrates easily to a new computer?</p>

<p>2. If I do migrate to a new computer, are there additional steps I need to take besides copying Bob Content to the new computer&#39;s Documents and reinstalling DAZ?</p>

<p>3. When you save a scene that includes your own morph dial settings, is there a place besides the .duf file where data is saved? There must be, because when I&#39;ve migrated computers before, I&#39;ve lost all the morph dial settings for a figure I saved in a folder of my own--when the scene is loaded, I get errors that they can&#39;t be found.</p>

<p>4. I also rig figures that I sculpt. All of that migrates just fine and seems to be completely independent of the DAZ install. I can just move the folder, map it with the DAZ Content Directory Manager and resume working as if nothing happened. Can&#39;t do that with a folder that includes stuff I created with a DAZ figure.</p>

<p>I know this is basic stuff, but any help is appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I bought a new laptop 2+ years ago (Del inspiron with i3 processer) and it does quite well for all my graphics including scene building in Daz but it has the built in g card and so of course no iray with anything close to reasonable render times. Just wondering if using an nvidia card in an enclosure like a sonnet etc is actually viable and what the potential bottlenecks would be? does the usb (bus?) have the flowthru to make use of the card? I did note some of the enclosures have fans which sounds optimal since cooling is a major issue for laptops as well as graphics cards.</p>

<p>edit:&nbsp;dang, it looks like these enclosures require Thunderbolt 2 or 3 which is probably a new plugin tech different from USB?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Now that I have fixed the content side now Smart Content won&#39;t work when I select say Genesis. I have done everything in the DB Maintenance Box and still no joy. All the content loads perfectly now so <strong>I just need to know what files I need to remove to reset things</strong>. I know it can&#39;t be in my Content folder as I made a new empty one and reinstalled everything in DIM.&nbsp;</p>
