My figure's toes have become invisible, I think by some footwear product, but I can't track down which.

I have checked for all hidden parameters and found nothing.

The toes are not set as invisible in scene tab.

They are clearly not "posed" as you can still see the outline when selecting the surface, and the polygons are selectable with the geometry editor where they should be.

The surface is set to full cutout opacity with no map.

I'm at a complete loss as to why they're invisible.

So if I have a character in a scene, and I load another (either by merging the file or using the Content Library to load new characters) quite often the morphs on the character already in the scene will be reset or displaced. It used to only happen when I was using custom characters that I had created, but just today I loaded a commercial character (G3M Sasori) and when I loaded the base G3F into the scene, his morphs reset themselves. I have un- and re-installed DS with no change.

Has anyone seen this behavior before? Have any help?

I am a novice in 3d design, I have seen a lot of vidos on people importing into blender, editing cloths, animating etc but not showing how to bring back into Daz. I really only have expenience exporting obj's and fbx's to blender but never out. I would like to bring characters into blender, touch up/ decimate/etc and bring it back to daz, ulimately exporting into iclone 7. Wouldn't be changing any rigging or animating, just cosmetic changes but there would be changes to the mesh. Is this possible? The process would have to not create any issues with the way 3dxchange converts and bone maps the Daz character when it comes time to send to iclone.

oooor, is there a way to skip the whole 2nd daz leg and just export the rigged daz model from blender directly through 3dxchange? For those who are familiar with reallusion software that is, I realize this is a Daz forum :)

Thanks

Hey there,

I just read some information about the installation of the DAZ Software and I came across some inconsistency (at least this is how I look at it) in the information provided.

It really confuses me that the Quick Start Guide as well as the User Guide for DAZ Studio is talking about DAZ Studio 4.6 (http://docs.daz3d.com/lib/exe/fetch.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/daz_studio_4_x_quickstart_guide.pdf)

and when I go to the download page: https://www.daz3d.com/get_studio

I see there is DAZ Studio 4.9+ as well as DAZ Studio 4.1 available.

To me this is highly confusing!
When I open the Install Manager, I can download DAZ Studio 4.1 but if the Quickstart Guide tells me that I need 4.6, I am buffled!

Where do I get Version 4.6 from?

I am really surprised about this and I am trying to understand what's going on with the Version numbers of DAZ. I am also experiencing problems in using the products that I bought in the DAZ Market and I have writtten another forum post about this yesterday, trying to wrap my mind around DAZ. So far it has been amazing to see the possibilities but very frustrating to not being able to use the software properly.

It would be great if someone can shed some light on the version numbers. :)

Hi,

I recently got me Deciamtor because my scene was becoming too large and no more handable in either the GPU or on the CPU.
My scene contains some G2M Chimp HD models with LAMH applied...

When I now try decimator on the hair-object of the cimp, decimator crashes (resp. goes into a mode where on Win10 the DAZ Studio main window disappears, only the progress is showing AND cpu consumption is around ~13% resp. 1 thread and memory drops to something like 500 MBs).
it unfortunately didn't recover even running for more then 10 hours...

Any idea what I'm doing wrong ?

Thanks & best regards,

Does anyone know if there's a phone support number for DAZ? I don't see anything here at DAZ3d but the "submit a support ticket" page, so I searched the net. There were several places that had a phone number but none of them worked.

I did submit a help ticket yesterday, but I took advantage of the "one day only 20 percent off" on a gift certificate, for myself, and I never got the email with the code for it. I got the confirmation email that shows the transaction went through but nothing else. So I'm out 200 clams with nothing to show for it. Having to wait two or three days until they get back to me is causing me to miss out on sale items I want to buy but can't. Not to mention, I want to find out what happened to that code, what if it went to someone else and they're happily spending my money while I sit and wait for the overworked DAZ help staff to get back to me? Surely there's another way to contact them in a case like this, right?

For GPU im getting a single GTX1080Ti 11GB and not going to wait for an over expensive RTX2080 series or such. WIth DAZ4.11 my renders are now pretty fast and look very good so a faster / higher end pc to what i have now can only help.

As I have not bought any new pc parts in last few years I am not to clued up with regards to latest AMD tech.

Thank you
