      <description><![CDATA[<p>I bought a section of Neighborhood Block from Collective 3d a while back and I am finally using it but I don&#39;t fully understand this aspect. It states this.<br />
<strong>Textures Include: </strong></p>

<ul>
	<li>341 Texture, Bump, Normal, and Specular Maps (<strong>450 x 450 to 4096 x 4096</strong>)</li>
	<li>&nbsp;</li>
	<li>&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Does this mean it has a base and high resolution? If so how do I access the 4096 x4096. If not could someone please explain this to me?</li>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I had set up a bathroom scene with a character in the bath and placed laundry items around the scene.&nbsp; I select a laundry&nbsp;item but when I click simulate. the figure in the bathtub stands up and the toilet on the far side of the wall ends up in the tub. I must be missing a step but I have no idea&nbsp;what I&#39;m doing.&nbsp; Please help.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay, so I do a lot of images of killer whales, under water and above. If I am doing an image of one jumping out of the water, getting water bumps/displacement to show up is easy enough in DAZ--I just use a geoshell and slap a water shader on it, then use a bump map or a normal map of rain drops. And on the orca&#39;s model, I make the diffuse skin shiny.<br />
<br />
But in Vue, the way to set up materials is so much more complicated. I *cannot* figure out at all how to seperate the orca&#39;s diffuse skin, from a water droplet bump map. In other words, I need to tile the water drops bump, and leave her skin at 1 x 1 scale. But I want my bump map tiled at something like 15 x 3.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>OK, I&#39;m frustrated.</p>

<p>In the Parameters pane, how is &quot;Copy Selected Items&quot; and &quot;Paste To Selected Items&quot; supposed to work?&nbsp; I can&#39;t seem to get anything to happen there.</p>

<p>Scenario:</p>

<p>I have an animation.&nbsp; I want to copy the General / Transforms / Translation and Rotation information on a character&nbsp;from one frame to another.&nbsp; So, I select the source frame in the timeline, I highlight &quot;Translation&quot; and &quot;Rotation&quot; within &quot;Parameters&quot;, right-click on them and select &quot;Copy selected items&quot;.&nbsp; I then move the timeline to another frame.&nbsp; Right click in the same spot in Parameters, select &quot;Paste to selected items&quot;.&nbsp; DS does its little &quot;spinning circle thing&quot; for a couple of seconds and then is ready for new input, but none of the parameters have changed.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried it with just &quot;Translation&quot; selected, with just &quot;Transforms&quot; (the parent of &quot;Translation&quot;) selected, with &quot;Transforms&quot;, &quot;Translation&quot; and &quot;Rotation&quot; selected - under no circumstances does DS seem to be willing to actually copy and paste this information within the Parameters pane other than me going through the individual sliders one at a time, select the individual value, copy it, and then pasting to that individual value on the destination frame, one slider at a time.</p>

<p>Yes, I know I can save the figure&#39;s entire pose as a pose and then re-apply it, deselecting all the parts I DON&#39;T want applied, but that&#39;s a pain.&nbsp; How is this supposed to work?&nbsp; What&#39;s the use of offering copy-and-paste choices in the UI if they don&#39;t do anything?&nbsp; The menu options are plural (&quot;items&quot; instead of &quot;item&quot;), so someone clearly contemplated being able to do more than one item at a time...</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Anyone else encountering this problem? 2 Catalyzer cats crashes Daz. Tried on 2 computers, one old, one brand new, up to date on all drivers. They initially allowed me to put them in there, and posing was fine for a while, but things got progressively slower, and eventually crashed. Now I can&#39;t even load the scene anymore without uninstalling LAMH to get rid of the catalyzer models because it crashes halfway through the loading process.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently downloaded daz3d 4.9. When I try to get&nbsp;the character to lip sync the character doesn&#39;t actually move its mouth, but it does make facial expressions like it is singing (its eyes open and shut and it moves its head). I&#39;m guessing that this might be because Mimic Pro can&#39;t be found on my computer, even though when I try to use the lip sync function it gives me the option of finding and using Mimic Pro on my computer. Any way, does Mimic lite work with Daz3d 4.9?</p>

<p>I know if you use mimic live you can use a microphone to send the software a signal to make the mouth of your character move, but can you also use a wave file to make the mouth of the character move with mimic live?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Whatever DAZ is doing, I swear it&#39;s a glitch. Let&#39;s say I render a picture and I keep it &quot;active viewport size&quot;... now assuming I don&#39;t touch the viewport size AT ALL, as in it stays exactly the same, there is no reason for it to ever change. However, when I finish renders, and go to spot render areas where I made a mistake or it just needs to be processed more, *the size suddenly changes* and defeats the whole point of spot rendering. DAZ says my viewport is one size, yet when I open the render it&#39;s suddenly bigger than what DAZ is telling me my viewport is.</p>

<p>I also have had this problem even with pictures where I change the size. Let&#39;s say I render a 1200 x 800 picture, and then I need to spot render something... same problem. The area I spot rendered is &quot;shruken&quot;. And this has gone on since DAZ 4.5... I can&#39;t be the only one experiencing this. Why is it not fixed?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[Trying to do the d-force tutorial provided in the program, and at the point it wants you to accept the sphere you created, the dialogue box of the tutorial prevents you from clicking accept. Don't know if this is a known thing, but you can't complete the tutorial, because the only option of the box is "stop" or ending the tutorial.

Did I miss a workaround? Didn't see one 8n the forums, at all.]]></description>

<p>I&#39;m pretty new to the software. I have an issue in which I open a new page and all I do is I load the character and scene, that&#39;s it....but when I switch to Iray view I &nbsp;get this horrable quality image. Not to be rude but please don&#39;t talk about cameras, lights, DOF&#39;s etc. I tried all that and doesn&#39;t work. I reinstalled the Daz client and all the raspiratories but problem doesn&#39;t go away. Again, it&#39;s been like this since I installed it, no change in setting done by me.&nbsp;I am thinking about some start-up misconfiguration but I have no idea what it is. All I know is I shoud be getting a lot better picture then this. At least guys from tutorials do. By the way, I must have touched something and now getting this window in the middle of the view, how in the world do I get rid of this?&nbsp;</p>

<p>I can&#39;t figure out why mine is so blurry and grainy (it&#39;s set to iray and photoreal, it looks the same in the final render). Like the dome-image is scaled up way too much or something. I tried to also set dome as finite and fiddle with dome radius, but it doesn&#39;t help. Render settings in the image are left just like they are if you just click the product and let it setup your render settings.</p>

<p>Why is it that no daz products comes with help on how to use it? Or is it hidden away somewhere?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I made custom eyes for G8F. They work ok with basic female figure, but when I fit them to Victoria 8 or Hyuna they are deformed: they are not round anymore. How to avoid this?</p>

<p>I didn&#39;t find anything in parameters. I only want the eyes move and scale but keep the same shape.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I order to make a wall poster, I&#39;ve defined a primitive plane, converted to Iray,&nbsp;then used a jpeg as Base color in the Surface property.</p>

<p>How can I save the poster as a Prop without having to keep the jpeg saved somewhere? (Can the jpeg be &#39;embeded&#39; in the obj primitive?)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m contemplating updating to the latest DS version, but want to have a back out strategy.&nbsp; In the past, I have taken an image of the C drive before the update, but this is a long process and the large image file has to be put somewhere.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;m wondering if anyone has used Windows system restore to back out a DS upgrade successfully?&nbsp; I&#39;ve not had much luck with using system restore in the past in that it did not restore the things I wanted to restore.&nbsp; Or is there another strategy I haven&#39;t considered that has worked well?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi,&nbsp;</p>

<p>I applied a number of LIE tattoos on a character then changed my mind about&nbsp;two&nbsp;so, removed them using the LIE editor. When I rendered the image the ones I removed showed up as faint, green ghosts. I discovered that they were due to Daz not updataing all the maps, particularly the translucency map. I manually created one using the dffuse map and it worked great. After closing Daz down today and reloading the image, the temp files all went including the manually created one, unfortunately Daz told me it coldn&#39;t find that manually created one and left translucenty without a map. It didn&#39;t give me errors for the others maps It had created them again and&nbsp;included a second diffuse with the removed tatts&nbsp;after reloading. I recreated the translucency map and it&#39;s look fine.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I can move the recreated translucency map to a different folder but how can I stop this ghosting from happening again without having to manually sort it out?&nbsp;</p>
