      <description><![CDATA[<p>Ok, I have DAZ running on Linux, along with the DIM. But, 2 issues; the first being that the CMS is unable to connect. I&#39;m guessing that might be a firewall issue but haven&#39;t troubleshot that yet. Any insights on that would be appreciated. Also, DAZ under Linux doesn&#39;t seem to recognize my GPU for rendering. The GPU is recognized in Linux. Again, any insights would be appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>normally how much time takes for a refund be applied???i opened 2 tickets for refund in some stuff they where inside the 30 days range, how much time normally it&#39;s take to have a answer and the refund expire time take in account the time it&#39;s take to get a answer?? like if let&#39;s say i open a ticket lefting like 10 day before the 30 days, but it&#39;s too like 15 days to take a answer passing the 30 days, i will lose that ticket??? how exactly it work, or i will still get it if they answer me after the time expire???</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Earlier I often used a secondary camera to zoom in on separate objects, which I wanted to model, by selecting it and then selecting the secondary camera and click on <strong>View Frame (LMB) Aim (RMB) </strong>and then the camera always crept up really close to the object in question and it helped me a lot with complicated posing like clutching a hand aroud an object or adding a bulb to a lamp for instance.</p>

<p>But since upgrading to 4.9.3.166 this function has been very unreliable. It works for a while, for a camera and then it stops working, the camera only aim itself at the object but does not close in. Sometimes it helps deleting the camera and add a new secondary camera into the scene, but sometimes not even that work.</p>

<p>Now what has happened to the <strong>View Frame (LMB) Aim (RMB) </strong>function. Does it not work as earlier? And why? And is there something else to use instead?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Long time user. I have DAZ3D v4.11 BETA public build installed. Been using it with no&nbsp;issues for over a month now. Probably longer.&nbsp; Windows 10&nbsp; &nbsp;Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7820HK CPU @ 2.90GHz, 2904 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s). GeForce GTX 1080, NVIDIA compatible</p>

<p>Did not pay a lot of attention this morning ( Easter ) and I think it downloaded and installed an update.<br />
<br />
Now, I can load a pre-saved character, pose and set for an iRay render. Press the Render button, and it runs for about 1 second and says finished. But the viewport&nbsp;is blank. Not black, just blank. Like it rendered nothing. I&#39;d like to think this is a setting somewhere but I have no idea. Tried many things. Finally re-installed v4.11 BETA public. Still does not render. Installed v4.10 and it will not run! No error. Just won&#39;t load apparently.</p>

<p>Went back to v4.11 BETA and it runs, just won&#39;t render.</p>

<p>Anyone have an idea I can try?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Ok, so here is a test render of a scene I&#39;m working on. If you look at the side view mirror on the bus, you can see that its grayish. It was originally back when I first loaded it. I think this model, (GreenPots school bus from Renderosity) was orignally intended to be used by Poser. So I simply went into surfaces, selected the mirror in the surfaces tab and applied the clear glass shader from the default resources pannel, except that there must be a few other things I need to change on the surfaces tab in order to make it appear to actually look like glass.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Does anyone know what else needs to be done?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>How&nbsp;do you know which&nbsp;characters you&#39;ve added to a Genesis 3 model? I want to take an older character Genesis 3 and match his look to an new Genesis 3 character. I DON&#39;T simply want to duplicate it bacause certain features aren&#39;t loading correctly onto it. I&#39;ve created a new Genesis 3 character and added the features that I want, but now I want to also add the character and parameters of the older Genesis 3 model on it.</p>

<p>But when I create a new Genesis 3 model, it seems to add&nbsp;every character that I&#39;ve ever bought in the Parameters menu; and when I look at my old Genesis 3 model, it also has every character that I&#39;ve ever bought. Some parameters on my old Genesis 3 model (pot belly, tough guy head) AREN&#39;T in my new Genesis 3 parameters... How do I add those? I tried copying the &#39;tough guy head&#39; but it simply copied the old pose.</p>

<p>So, simply put, how do I discern which character I&#39;m using?</p>

<p>With march madness going over, I know own a lot of poses, which is nice... Not so nice are some of them, e.g. &quot;Mage and Apprentice&quot;, but there are some with&nbsp; the same issue.</p>

<p>When I apply some poses, the figure seem to &quot;jump&quot; to a certain location, and the Zero-Point, where, for example, the Y-Rotate is centered, stays elsewhere, sometimes over 100 units away from the figure. I know, that those poses are meant for one certain envoirment, where the figure then automatically goes to a certain spot...</p>

<p>...but is there a way to trick these poses into being &quot;usable anywhere&quot;?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>for some reason Daz pro beta was put on my computer, my Daz&nbsp;was upgraded with out me knowing, yes it happened, but being that happened when I logged into the program it had some tabs that I have do not use and not the tabs I use, Content Library and a few others I use, only the scene surface eviorment tabs were there, and they were not under that&nbsp; window/pane tab&nbsp; &nbsp;I was not able to use it at all, when I called up one of my saved scene files that were all corrupted,&nbsp; please help! right now I have lost everything I have worked on for a long time.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So i have a pretty heavy scene that i wanna animate, so i&#39;ll do a 1 second 30 fps image series. So started rendering, all good, my ram seems to be enough, the graphic card it&#39;s ok.. and my cpu is NOT used for&nbsp;the rendering. First frame done (one hour) , second one started to use CPU and not GPU, although the GPU looks like it&#39;s already at full capacity (1060 6G) and i don&#39;t understand why. Why is that the first frame was just fine but not the second one ? I guess the program doesn&#39;t clear the stage between the two and assumes that my gpu is&nbsp;full and starts using the CPU ONLY (4h for the same render), and also keeps the gpu at full capacity. I literally have to do this one frame at a time so i don&#39;t get to render with CPU.... is there anything that i can do to help with this issue?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am using the Daz beta 4.11, and the program is not rendering from my cards. I have a 2080Ti and a Titan Z.&nbsp; Even though The program sees them and they are all selected, even the smallest scenes and items render CPU-only.</p>

<p>I also have Daz 4.10 installed, and it&nbsp; is rendering fine from my Titan Z.</p>

<p>This problem started sometime within the past week.&nbsp; I have had limited time to render and troubleshooty until the weekend.&nbsp; Initially, I thought I was just using a scene that was too large.</p>

<p>dForce is working fine using the 2080.</p>

<p>Any ideas what might be wrong?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I&#39;ve made a pair of boxer short but when I try to save them in the right category I&#39;m confronted with a list of options that goes right off the page and can&#39;t find a way to get to the right category, I&#39;m not able to shrink the list or move it,&nbsp;see attachment. In morphs you&#39;re able to get a drop down list but you don&#39;t get that option here. How can I make this list of options readable? Or what is the right hierarchy? Thanks</p>

<p>Ah, I managed to work it out, I think, from the Smart Content hierachy,&nbsp;&nbsp;Default/Wardrobe/Underwear/Bottoms but it doesn&#39;t work, that is it doesn&#39;t work as a wearable. It&#39;s just an object floating in the scene near the figure. I&#39;m obviously missing something like &#39;Follower&#39;. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I&#39;d sill like to know how to use that list though for future options.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When I try to save a pose for Baby Tobyn using pose extractor in pose architect he becomes distorted with a huge head. This feature is a great time saver... I am hoping there could be something I can do.</p>

<p>I wanted to know what effect <span>[Models with really high poly/vert counts?]<span>this</span></span> has on render times for both pics and animations in Daz3ds and also in Blender.&nbsp; I&#39;m seeing a lot of my products with high poly/vert counts on the export screen.&nbsp; Like the figure i am working with right now has 96k polys for hair, 40k polys for a pair of combat boots, and 196k polys (414k verts) for a small patch of pubic hair.&nbsp; In comparison the G8F body has 16k polys/16k verts.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Aren&#39;t those numbers a bit excessive? wont they affect render times by quite a bit?&nbsp; some of these products have interactive licenses right? so that means they can be used in games and stuff? so people could be using these models for a picture render, an animation or for a game engine. A lot of the high poly stuff does look really nice but is it always necessary to make it high poly? especially on something like a small patch of hair?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>My hard drive crashed about a week ago, and while fortunately I&#39;d backed up my most important files, the re-establishment process still won&#39;t be quite as quick-and-easy as I&#39;d like.&nbsp; As part of this process, I&#39;ve re-installed Poser, DS, and the DSON Importer.&nbsp; However, as I feared might be the case, the &quot;Transfer active morphs&quot; script of the DSON Importer isn&#39;t working anymore.&nbsp; I select it from the menu, and absolutely nothing happens.</p>

<p>This isn&#39;t the first mysterious spell of non-functionality this particular script has had, which is why I suspected something like this might happen.&nbsp; I never could figure out what random thing I may have done that magically triggered it to work again the last time, but in my experience, it&#39;s almost as if the slightest change to my system runs the risk of either fixing it if it&#39;s broken or breaking it if it&#39;s working.&nbsp; I&#39;ve even interacted with DAZ tech support for a few rounds, and the solution came not from them but from the seemingly random fluke that presumably broke it in the first place.</p>

<p>Here we go again!&nbsp; I welcome any advice, especially since my ability to continue rendering depends largely on complete DSON functionality.</p>

<p>instead of spending Days or probably weeks to sort this mess out and reposition every object.</p>

<p>Is there a easy way to position&nbsp;the objects where they should be?</p>

<p>obviously this is not a&nbsp;car its a building kit LOL</p>

<p>Problem 2 is that the objects cant rotate in a normal way around its own axis,making it even harder to try to position them.</p>

<p>axis are all over the place and as an example the Y axis are not Y its Z here.</p>

Loading a figure, I cannot select a figure in the viewport regardless of tool selected - only nodes (eg head, collar etc). It was like this &#39;out of the box&#39;. The installation on my main desktop is fine - I even copied my settings and preferences over to no avail. I can&#39;t find a seemingly relevant setting for this. Any ideas?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Most of the Daz work I&#39;m doing is for 3D printing so the coloring of a prop really doesn&#39;t matter.&nbsp; That said, I&#39;d like to be able to do it right and create finished props suitable for Daz.<br />

I&#39;m using several programs, Sketchup, Zbrush, Netfabb and others to build what I need.&nbsp; Say I were to build a snowman.&nbsp; I can build the shapes, no problem.&nbsp; But how do I get the accessories on that prop to be the right colors when I import into Daz?&nbsp; Or do I need to import the body, scarf, hat, nose, buttons, arms and mouth as separate, properly colored items and merge them together?</p>

<p>I am fitting the outfit to a Genesis 8 Male figure, and the whole wardrobe fits perfectly. The boots are the only item that appear weird, as if there below the feet.</p>

<p>I have tried everything I can think of but there are no&nbsp;adjustments for the boots, and when you &quot;fit to Genesis 8 Male&quot; and then choose originally made for Genesis 3 Male in the drop down, the boots get screwed up. The rest of the clothing works just fine this way.</p>

<p>Does anyone know of a workaround for this?? It&#39;s a really cool outfit but it looks ridiculous in bare feet. :)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m wondering whether anyone else has had a probelm with this product. Whenever I try to load it my Daz Studio seems to completely hang and become non-responsive.<br />
I can&#39;t be the only one who has seen this. Strangely it&#39;s only this product, none of the other models I&#39;ve bought over the years have done anything like this in any consistent manner.<br />

The saved file is 35M+ compared to other hair which is under 1M. Is this normal for this hair style? Am I doing something wrong? <p>I am currently working on making a custom figure which I hope to sell at a marketplace.&nbsp; For cornea, I&#39;d like to use<strong>&nbsp;DAZ Iray water-thin shader preset </strong>(which is installed with Daz Studio as&nbsp;shader_presets/iray/daz_uber/water - thin.duf).&nbsp; If I apply this shader preset to my figure&#39;s cornea and save the material of the whole figure&nbsp;in a&nbsp;material preset duf file, the saved file includes the values from the&nbsp;DAZ Iray water-thin shader preset.&nbsp; I&#39;m not sure if DAZ is OK with me redistributing these&nbsp;values in my own product.&nbsp; I would appreciat it if&nbsp;someone who has dealt with this question can shed a light on this.</p>

<p>If this is not OK with DAZ, then I need to see if I can write a script to apply Water-thin preset.</p>
