      <description><![CDATA[<p>When I create or import OBJ models from 3DS Max 2017 a lot of times they come in with jagged faces. When I apply shaders to these objects they turn out very ugly. Is there anyway to fix this in Daz Studio or 3DS Max 2017?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have three Runtime libraries The first is the one that DAZ puts all of its content in. The Second is where I put all of the Poser content that I download from other web sites. The Third is where I install DAZ compatible content from other sites.</p>

<p>I have no problem installing content in the Poser Runtime - it shows up just fine inside DAZ Studio. But I am having trouble with the (3rd Party) DAZ Runtime folder. If I install something in a Props folder outside of the Runtime folder - it shows up inside DAZ Studio. But if I install something inside the DAZ Runtime&gt; Library&gt; Props folder - it never shows up in DAZ Studio. Likewise nothing shows up from the other folders in that Runtime.</p>

<p>Because of this, if I download something that has both Poser and DAZ files, I always have to opt for installing the Poser versions. I would rather use the DAZ Studio versions.</p>

<p>What am I doing wrong? How do I get the DAZ compatible files to show up inside DAZ Studio?</p>

<p>&nbsp; Hi. The Classic Tuxedo for Genesis 3 Males has a couple of props in the Jacket - a corsage and button - which are separate and can be deleted.</p>

<p>&nbsp; I&#39;m having difficulty exporting a clean OBJ of the Jacket in order to (theoretically) create a new Morph for it and then reimport. (Other items exported fine.) It would be nice to do this with an Open Jacket as well. Is there anything unusual about this Jacket that I should be paying attention to in order to export?</p>

<p>I just purchased a product called Ron&#39;s Edge Grunge.</p>

<p>I won&#39;t install in DAZ Studio because it apparently needs Photoshop CS.</p>

<p>I only have the Photoshop Elements software.</p>

<p>So my question is, can I use Ron&#39;s Edge Grunge with Photoshop Elements, or do I need to get the full Photoshop CS software?</p>

<p>Photoshop Elements supports brushes and frames, so not sure if it&#39;s just somehow getting this product into Elements another way, or if it simply will not install unless I get CS.</p>

<p>Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I really want to use the Ron&#39;s Edge Grunge&nbsp;and I would hate to have to return it. I am a painter, and I don&#39;t require the full Photoshop software, which is why I originally had purchased the Photoshop Elements software.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I bought the Dachshund for the Dog 8, and kept thinking it looked sort of wrong.</p>

<p>I did a quick Google for dachshund pictures.. and the Daz one has legs that are very long.</p>

<p>I can&#39;t work out how to shorten his legs.&nbsp; There is no leg length morphs that I can find.</p>

<p>I love the textures, I love the face, but his unusually long legs really do stand out.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix him, please?</p>

<p>Or will I need to try making my own morph in blender or hexagon to shorten his little legs.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I am planning to go for&nbsp;Nvidia 1060 3GB Version.&nbsp;Simultaneous multi-projection,&nbsp;Nvidia GPU Boost 3.0,&nbsp;1152 CUDA cores,&nbsp;3GB GDDR5 memory,&nbsp;192-bit memory bus,&nbsp;Engine Clock: 1506MHz (Base)/1708MHz (Boosted),&nbsp;Memory Clock: 8GHz</p>

<p>It&#39;s under my Budget also.</p>

<p>I mostly do Static Renders under 1200 by 800 Resolution, With&nbsp;One or two characters and take about 1 - 1.5 hrs under Iray CPU Mode.&nbsp;Sometimes I do by four. Max I did was 5 and it took 1.5 hrs on 3D Light.&nbsp;</p>

<p>My System is AMD Ryzen 2400G With 8 GB DDR4 RAM. Daz in installed on a Samsung SSD. I do not&nbsp;overclock.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The second Option is&nbsp;GeForce GTX 1650 OC Edition 4GB GDDR5,&nbsp;GTX 1650 OC comes with &lsquo;896 CUDA cores&rsquo; and operates across a 128-bit wide bus interface at speeds of 8 Gbps.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>If I get a new computer, do I need to reinstall all of the DAZ content through the DAZ Install Manager?&nbsp;</p>

<p>Or is there an easier way to just backup a directory and then restore once I switch to the new PC?</p>

<p>I know that third party products (Renderosity, etc.) are in the My Library folder:</p>

<p><strong>c:\Users\[Username]\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library</strong></p>

<p>But I&#39;m not sure if there is a centralized location for all the DAZ Shop installs.</p>

<p>I&#39;m assuming it&#39;s somewhere under&nbsp;<strong>c:\Users\Public</strong></p>

<p>It would be nice to have a backup.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have loaded a scene that I created&nbsp; over a year ago. The scene contains a prop that I want to find again in&nbsp;its&nbsp;content map folder through&nbsp;the content library. The issue is that I have bought many items and freebies since then,&nbsp;and forgotten the assets location. I know that I can run a search for the file name since I am able to read it on the scene tab and&nbsp;nod info tab, however running a search through daz takes my computer a while to go through all of my asset owned. Is there a way I can select the prop in the scene tab and pull up the property listing with the file path location of the actual prop file? As of now&nbsp;I just see the meta data&nbsp; Scene ID : Content Type :&nbsp;Compatibility Base : written out which is useful but not what I need at the moment. Thank you all in advance.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Ran into a strange problem with this new product:&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-lacey-dress-for-genesis-8-females">https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-lacey-dress-for-genesis-8-females</a>&nbsp;.&nbsp;The slip and panty autofit&nbsp;OK, but the outer dress assumes the G8 default pose and doesn&#39;t adjust to fit the character. Clicking &quot;Fit to&quot; makes no difference, and the usual AutoFit dialogue doesn&#39;t appear.</p>

<p>The outfit works as expected&nbsp;on G8F characters, but I noticed another oddity when I applied&nbsp;the foot pose to an already posed character:&nbsp;the entire figure&nbsp;returns to the default &#39;A&#39; pose, except for the feet.</p>

<p>I haven&#39;t submitted a support ticket yet, but&nbsp;maybe I should (?).</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello! I&rsquo;d like to know if it is possible to clear a single parameter easily from say, a specific body part?</p>

<p>For example, within the &quot;head&quot;, there are lips / eye lids / etc and instead of clear animation of&nbsp;the whole head, I only want to clear the eye&rsquo;s animation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the &quot;paramters setting&quot; i can see which keys have been assigned as keyframes. But manually changing them to zero over there does not seems to save..</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I looked around in the forums and didn&#39;t find this, I&#39;m sure its hanging around but I was probably using the wrong search terms. Forgive me.<br />
My current machine works great for everything else, but my IRAY renders take too long for my liking. I need to constantly test render things as the viewport often &#39;lies&#39; about what the end version will look like. When a test render of a 2x2 inch area takes several minutes, fine tuning is hellish, especially since I am still trying to learn what each slider does. What sort of specs am I aiming for for maximum performance and quality? What part matters most, the video card or gpu? Lets play and pretend that I have 2000.00 to spend on motherboard, cpu, and video card!</p>

<p>I was trying to get some big sleeves to fit the G8F using the Transfer Utility. However it seems like whatever options I choose, the result is a big destortion... I did delete the rest of the body using the geometry tool to eliminate any interference with the arms. What&#39;s the best way to deal with big sleeves? Is it even possible?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve noticed a very specific issue in the&nbsp;4.11.0.236 version of the beta. When I have a dial that has a large or infinite range (X/Y/Z rotations/translations or figures with limits off), if I grab the point and slide it the selected property will just start going that direction at an unexpectedly high rate. If I stop dragging it will stop, but if I drag the&nbsp;<strong><em>other direction</em></strong>&nbsp;while still holding the slider it will continue the same direction and not course correct.<br />
<br />
If I restrict the range the symptoms are reduced. A good example is a figure&#39;s Y rotation. Leave it unbounded and try to adjust the rotation and the figure will spin out of control. If I set the range to 0 - 360 I can control it as expected.<br />
<br />
I have the same version on my home PC and I do not experience this issue, only on my laptop.</p>

<p>It is a pretty nice set, but the one problem I have with it is that each prop in the set has multiple frames and is set to animate (move)&nbsp;as you advance frames, and it is not a camera issue, as I tried this in perspective mode.</p>

<p>I tried clearing and zeroing the animation from the props, but to no avail.</p>

<p>I do not have any issues with Tesla3D&#39;s products, as one of their products, the New Bank,interior, is pretty good and does not have the same problems like their Hospital Corridor set does.</p>

<p>I do plan on purchasing another hospital set to accompany this scene someday, but I cannot go ahead with it if this problem with the Hospital Corridor cannot be fixed.&nbsp; Is there any way for me to have the Hospital Corridor set remove the animation so that it stays in place on every frame?</p>

<p>I&#39;ve followed the tutorial video that comes with this product, to make an initial state morph. When I&#39;ve finally got the morph available via Morph Loader Pro, as I crank it up to 100% on the hair, the hair moves off of the G8&#39;s head instead of just reshaping in place. I&#39;ve followed the tutorial as closely as I can, but I cannot get this to not happen. Has anyone else tried this successfully?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Having an issue where parenting an object onto a camera, and then trying to look around with said camera&nbsp;in Iray (viewport), lowers the framerate massively.</p>

<p>A similar thing&nbsp;happens when I enable headlight on the camera.</p>

<p>Happens&nbsp;in freshly made scenes (say, a basic&nbsp;G8&nbsp;model + camera + the primitive parented to the camera)</p>

<p>Here&#39;s what I do:</p>

<p>1. create a camera (Camera 1)</p>

<p>2. create a primitive object (doesn&#39;t matter which type)</p>

<p>3. parent primitive object to camera</p>

<p>4. switch from Perspective view to Camera 1</p>

<p>5. enable Iray in the viewport</p>

<p>Had this problem for years at this point. Recently formatted to Windows 10 and reinstalled DAZ multiple times. The issue is still around. Recall using the headlight frequently in past projects just fine (with Iray), but nowadays its quite the hurdle to work with.</p>

<p>Using GPU only for rendering. Enabling CPU/tinkering with devices in general doesn&#39;t fix it</p>

<p>Tried changing up OpenGL/viewport settings at Edit&gt;Preferences&gt;Interface, no results</p>

<p>Adjusted my NVIDIA settings so that DAZ will use my 1080 (it already did but worth a shot)... did not fix it.</p>

<p>Unparenting the primitive immediately resolves the issue. Not preferable solution. I&nbsp;would like&nbsp;to use headlights and primitives with my camera (lets me do neat coloring/lighting stuff one may do&nbsp;post-render.)</p>

<p>Disabling Iray in the viewport and using for example texture shaded does not have this issue. But preferably I want to avoid jumping in and out of Iray, everytime I want to adjust my camera.</p>

<p>Been googling around for a similar problem, but I&#39;ve found nothing similar. There was one thread about a laggy viewport, but I had already applied the &#39;fix&#39; mentioned there. Did not fix my camera issue.</p>

<p>GTX 1080 (419.67 -- issue&nbsp;persists in older&nbsp;drivers)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m relatively new to Daz still, so this may be a crazy question but I need some help on a general direction forward.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have a figure with a lot of morphs applied to her and the clothing, so much so that the save file for her and the clothes are 60MB which is more than 5x all other figures in the scene.&nbsp; It takes a ridiculously long time to load this one figure and I&#39;m trying to figure out a way to simply it and speed it up.&nbsp; Is there&nbsp;a way to take all of the morphs currently applied to her and merge them in permanently and export/import the character back so that this is a &quot;fresh&quot; character? Would that reduce the file size and load time?&nbsp; Now that I have all of these morphs applied I don&#39;t need to change them anymore and I can use that as a &quot;base&quot; for this figure?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a new MacBook Pro running MacOS 10.14.4 and&nbsp;Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB. I installed Daz studio 4.10.0.123 pro and data. I can load a figure from Smart Content and any thing from the Content libary fine but can&#39;t save or open a file! When I try to save/open a scene Daz just freezes. Is ther a setting I need to change? My other applications can save and open files ok&nbsp;</p>

<p>I only found one forum topic specifically on the topic of this card, so I was hoping to see if I could find more feedback before deciding on it specifically.</p>

<p>Previously this computer also ran a GTX 675m card, which is what I will be replacing,&nbsp;but that card died a about a year ago&nbsp;before I&nbsp;started with&nbsp;Daz. I used that one for Photoshop CS6 with a lot of heavy-duty layering.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I primarily use IRay for rendering in Daz, and my computer&nbsp;currently relys&nbsp;on CPU to render scenes... which does work,&nbsp;but takes a while&nbsp;to render at the detail I prefer.<br />

Are there any problems you know of when using the GTX 780 with the above specs?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello fine daz fan friends! :D</p>

<p>Well... I&#39;m trying to make an OpenGL render of a scene in Daz. I have done this before, and I know you have to set the OpenGL render to jpg. so that the transparencies don&#39;t show in the hair (hair looks white if left on png.) But something strange happened on my last OpenGL render. Even tho the render is set to jpg. you can see the small png. white and grey squares in the hair. Even when something is in the background of the head, the little white and grey squares can be seen. I&#39;ve tried to tweak the transparency and opacity in the surface settings of the hair, but the little white and grey squares still show up...</p>

<p>Anybody know what this is happening? :/</p>
