      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, I asked this before but I had no response, I will give it a try again<br />
&nbsp;</p>

<p>When I add Morph, I have added some wrinkles on these leggings very minimal it&#39;s just in one spot of the mesh. So instead of that happening, my mesh is scaling down when I change the Value.<br />
I have tried a couple of times, but I got no results. So I would be quite thankful if anyone could help me out here. :)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello Daz3d Artits and tech experts,</p>

<p>i started yesterday with daz3d and tried to render the tutorial scene. It took me 40 minutes and i realized afterwards that it rendered with the CPU (i7 9700k).<br />
Both GPU and CPU were on, but if i try to render it with the CPU off, it doesn&#39;t even start.<br />
<br />
I first downloaded the newest Daz Studio 4.10 and now also installed the Daz Studio Pro BETA - version 4.11.0.335, still no changes.<br />
How do i render with the GPU?</p>

<p>EDIT: problem solved, i had to edit the filter settings in the DAZ Install Manager to show the Beta version to install.. Works with the 4.11 Version now. From 40 minutes to less then 3</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Even with products like Fit Control, Wear Them All, and several of Sickleyield&#39;s helpers, eliminating&nbsp;poke-through on some characters&mdash;especially&nbsp;big-breasted characters&mdash;can be virtually impossible.</p>

<p>Of course if the outfit covers the pectorals it&#39;s easy enough to hide them, but many female outfits are low-cut (really?) or otherwise revealing (what a surprise).</p>

<p>Recently I was trying to fit some fairly skimpy clothes on a big-breasted character but couldn&#39;t find a way to prevent her nipples poking through. So I tried the Geometry Editor, selecting the problem polygons and telling it to hide them. The result looked promising&nbsp;until I reloaded the outfit and...nope, still poking through. I also tried deleting the selected polygons, but, after thinking about it for 5 minutes or so, DAZ&nbsp;Studio crashed. Not the way to go, obviously.</p>

<p>I&#39;m thinking it can&#39;t be done using the Geometry Editor&nbsp;but if anyone knows of a way,&nbsp;I (and surely others) would appreciate knowing how.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a 5TB drive onto which I am trying to move all my DAZ stuff.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve installed a good amount of it, but when I attempt to access 99% of anything, I get this message. &quot;Could not open file : &lt;filepath&gt; File does not exist&quot;. I browsed to the file location and indeed, it was there. (Snip for proof. The &#39;DAZ3DIM Content Path&#39; folder is my own, to designate a filepath for DAZ3DIM.) Any ideas?</p>

<p>(Also: my My Library, where I store Renderosity stuff, is working just fine after I linked it in the Content Library directory.)</p>

Obviously it should be able to fade between both textures. This is quite normal, asociate morphs to textures and I&#39;m not sure it is possible in DAZ.</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to transfer as many of my character morphs from Genesis 3 to Genesis 2 as I can using GenX.</p>

<p>Most work fine, but some don&#39;t. Specifically I&#39;m trying to transfer Victoria 7 to G2F. The morph appears on G2F, but when I dial it in, there&#39;s no change.</p>

<p>Can anyone suggest why this may be happening?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Is there any way to change the default mouse wheel zoom in/out behavior in DAZ Studio?</p>

<p>Every other application I use, from Weather Channel maps, to Google maps, to Photoshop, you name it ... use the forward mouse wheel movement to zoom into the scene, and backward to zoom out.&nbsp;</p>

<p>DAZ Studio does the opposite of this. Would be so nice to reverse this in DAZ to make it work the same as everything else in the universe.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;ve looked at Edit &gt; Preferences and did not see any way to change this.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>On individual renders I get the eyes to target the camera. If I close Daz and reopen, the eyes are no longer targeting the camera so&nbsp;I have to move the camera a bit (or zoom in and undo) and the eyes lock back into place.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
I&#39;ve been trying out the batch render&nbsp; (<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/batch-render-for-daz-studio-4-and-rib">https://www.daz3d.com/batch-render-for-daz-studio-4-and-rib</a>) and the problem is that it won&#39;t lock the eyes on their target everytime it loads a file. So all my renders have eyes directed in default instead.</p>

<p>Any idea how to fix this ? (Other than having to cancel the target camera and pose eyes for each individual render)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have the latest update for <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/tess-for-genesis-8-female" target="_blank">Tess for G8F</a>, but I can&#39;t get any of the hierarchical&nbsp;brow color materials to apply. I first use the actor character preset, then&nbsp;with Tess selected I apply either the &quot;Tess 01 Brows Mat&quot; preset or the &quot;Tess 03 Freckles Brows Mat&quot; preset in Tess Materials. Those work fine.</p>

<p>Then I tried all of the hierarchical brow colors in Tess Eyebrows, but none of them work. There is no error in the log file, and if I hover over Undo, it doesn&#39;t show that they applied. I&#39;m in NVidia Iray mode, not Texture Shaded. The other presets work fine, such as eye colors, lips, and makeup (although they are not hierarchical).</p>

<p>I&#39;m accessing the presets through Content Library not Smart Content. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? Just a note that there is no separate brow object in the scene tab.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am upgrading my laptop today (replacing a 256 GB SSD with a new 2 TB SSD.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>CURRENT CONFIGURATION of my Alienware R2 17 laptop:</strong></p>

<ul>
	<li><strong>C Drive:</strong> 256 GB SSD is the boot drive with Win 10 (there are almost no apps installed on this drive).</li>
	<li><strong>D Drive:</strong> Daz Studio and My Content Library&nbsp;(along with almost all of my other apps) are installed on a 1 TB hard drive (7200 rpm).</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>NEW CONFIGURATION &amp; ACTIONS:</strong><br />
- I am cloning the old SSD boot drive to the new SSD, then using software tools to increase the size of the partition (I&#39;ve done this before on other systems without issue &ndash; in fact, Acronis software makes it downright easy!).<br />
- I will then remove the old (small) SSD.<br />
- I will then uninstall Daz Studio from the D drive.<br />
- And then install a fresh copy of Daz Studio&nbsp;onto the new SSD C drive.</p>

<p>Now, I do not want to have to redownload all my content (6,000+ items!). I would just like to move the content libary to the new SSD drive.<br />
If I&#39;ve read correctly, I should be able to copy the content over and then use the DS interface to point to the content library.</p>

<p><big><span><em><strong>Is this correct? Is there anything else that I need to be mindful of in this scenario?</strong></em></span></big></p>

<p>But in this way anything that is not a Iray display will look black. The automatic camera headlamp needs to be off also or will affect lighting</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So lately I&#39;ve run into a weird problem with posing my Genesis 8 figures. Figures I used to be able to pose fine now suffer from serious distortion on anatomy when posing, especially with things like arm flexing poses. This is true even when I load a new Gen8 Devload into the scene, and has affected all my saved figures and scenes retroactively. A whole bunch of my characters are no longer useable.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve attached an image example; on the left is the original render I did before this problem happened. On the right is the result I get now. This deformation is visible as soon as I load the scene.</p>

<p>Does anyone know why this happened and how I can fix it? I&#39;ve tried using the Install Manager to uninstall, delete, and re-download the Genesis 8 Male Starter Essentials and it hasn&#39;t helped.</p>

I was going to do some playing around with the Military Module and the item in question loaded in completely black in texture view. It looks fine in IRAY, but in texture I need some kind of exterior lighting, like a distant light to see anything.</p>

<p>Has anyone else run into this, and are there any suggestions for a fix?</p>

<p>I&#39;m looking for suggestions on how I can smooth just the shoulders on a character.</p>

<p>As you can see (and most of us are used to), the shoulders have this weird angular blocky-ness to them.</p>

<p>I know switching to a higher subdivision level solves it, but like to use the lower resolution base model if possible.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried using the zone smoother product, but it really doesn&#39;t work right in this case. Adding enough iterations to smooth the shoulders means they also go weird and low down.</p>

<p>Can ayone offer any other suggestions on how this could be done?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi guy&#39;s, I&#39;m doing scene and I need elevator doors to open at the same time, left and right, the doors are fully functional, but they aren&#39;t able to be controled at the same time going in different directions. Would any one know how to get the left door to go left at the same time getting the right one to go right to get a relistic elevator door opening slide? the left door goes left already with proper limmits and so does the right. I need them to do so at the same time. The doors are apart of a building or scene I got from daz.com&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just bought the new Drago Hair and so far I never had any issues using the dForce hair assets for G8F. The hair loads just fine and the simulation worked too but then the problems began:</p>

<p>- When I tried to get an Iray preview, the scene I got was empty. Both characters were still there because they became highlighted when I moved the cursor over them.</p>

<p>- Rendering the scene causes Daz to render for about 5 minutes, do about 35 iterations and then jump directly to 100% and finished render: An empty space.</p>

<p>- As soon as I make the Drago Hair invisible, the Iray preview works again</p>

<p>I&#39;m a bit at a loss here as to what could be causing this since I never had any issues with any kind of hair assets, dForce or static.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am getting&nbsp;a premature render&nbsp;exit that is driving me crazy. Each test takes about two hours to complete.....</p>

<p>EDIT:&nbsp; Duh... &quot;... two hours to complete...&quot;&nbsp; &nbsp; I merged the scene with partial scene setup and the render setings were set to default.&nbsp; Max Time = 7200 seconds.</p>

<p>Maybe I should&nbsp;take a break.</p>

<p>I get random black pixels around the eyes, whenever I render my figure in IRay...</p>

<p>no matter what I try, those don&#39;t go away and keep getting more the longer I let it&nbsp;render...<br />
tried all variants of different settings</p>

<p>does anyone have any idea what causes this and how to get rid of it?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a scene that includes a 2 meter&nbsp;emissive sphere for lighting. I am using the IRAY Emissive shader assigned to the sphere.&nbsp;&nbsp;The sphere is not in the&nbsp;camera view, but behind the camera and off to one side.&nbsp; &nbsp;Is&nbsp;there a way to turn&nbsp;off specular light from this sphere to prevent it from over powering the specular relfection in the figure&#39;s (G8F) eyes?&nbsp; I do not want to disable or reduce the specular refelctivity of the eyes beacsue I do want them&nbsp;picking&nbsp;up some of the other lighting.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Follow&nbsp;on question.&nbsp; For other renders and&nbsp;uses, Is it possible to&nbsp;make this emissinve light (object)&nbsp;not visible in surface reflections like chrome or mirrors?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Today I purchased the UltraHD IRAY HDRI With DOF - Winter Beaches:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <a href="https://www.daz3d.com/ultrahd-iray-hdri-with-dof--winter-beaches" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/ultrahd-iray-hdri-with-dof--winter-beaches</a></p>

<p>I used the recent version of Install Manager to install it, yet I cannot find the environment either under the Smart Content nor the Content Library.&nbsp; When I do a file search, I can locate all the lighting presets for winterbeach, but there are no other content files I can find.&nbsp; None of the light presets will load the scene into the Viewport (expected).</p>

<p>I went back and manually reinstalled the purchased content, went into the Conentent DB Maintenance and reimported all Metadata, but still can&#39;t find it.</p>

<p>Am I missing something?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve really appreciated both the interior and exterior apopcalyptic HDRI sets by dumor3d as a way to achieve a realistic scene with HDRI background. Recently I received a commissioned project that justified my client forking over the $119 for the Dosch 3D HDRI &quot;Vast Landscapes&quot; set and I was looking forward to having these professionally produced HDRI scenes in my collection. I&#39;ve read several HDRI tutorials and have used HDRI environments in other 3D software so I&#39;m aware of the concept of high dynamic range imagery. Unfortunately, now that I&#39;m attempting to use these new toys I find that there seems to be a terrible disconnect between the dome background and the lighting of my scene. In the attached images I&#39;ve placed a figure in a fresh scene with default Daz Studio settings. When I bring in the Dosch HDRI environment the background is terribly washed out and my figure is under exposed. The second image shows how adjusting the Tone Mapping settings and environment intensity does not rectify the situation and the disparity between figure and background lighting can&#39;t be balanced. Just as a test, I found one of the dumor3d apopcalyptic HDRI files and simply replaced the Dosch3D hdri file. As you can see from the bottom image, immediately there is harmony between the figure exposure and background lighting.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Certainly, the Dosch 3D HDRI products are well known and respected so I have no doubts about the quality of these backgrounds. I assume I&#39;m missing something with regard to how I use these HDRI images with Daz Studio to make them work properly. Can anyone with more experience using HDRI imagery in Studio help me out?
