      <description><![CDATA[<p>Ever since I switched to rendering in Iray rather than 3Delight, I&#39;ve noticed that all my characters seem to end up with dark skin, even when the skin is normally fair or pale. I&#39;ve tried lighting presets, and I&#39;ve tried shining as many as five or six lights on a scene, and the skins still all look dark. Is there a piece I&#39;m missing?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, all</p>

<p>How can I render with the OpenGL engine certain parts of a figure (e.g. face, skin, clothes) with a single solid color?</p>

<p>The only thing I got working is, setting the hair to a solid color e.g. green (by changing the Surface | Editor | Base Color of the hair) and render it with 3delight, see below, still this is only working when using 3Delight and also only works on the hair.</p>

<p>When I change the Base Color of the clothes e.g. to red they don&#39;t show up as a single solid color in 3delight like the hair, moreover using OpenGL neither.</p>

<p>Has anyone maybe a tip for me how to render parts of the figure with solid color ideally with OpenGl?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello all!</p>

<p>I&#39;m having a small problem here in Daz... I&#39;m rendering using 3Delight and everytime I render a window, with some glass, the glass looks kind of transparent, but it look dark grey (like you can see in the render preview in the image)! Kind of like if light wasn&#39;t passing thru it properly... I&#39;ve had this problem before using 3Delight, I just selected the item in&nbsp; the&nbsp;scene&nbsp;menu and added a glass shader mixer... But this time, the glass window&nbsp;isn&#39;t selectable in the scenes tab, it&#39;s only in the surface tab...</p>

<p>How can I add a shader mixer to something in the suraface tab? I&#39;ve tinkered around with the surface options of the glass window, but it still renders grey! Anybody can shine some light on this subject please? :/</p>

<p>I see a big need of an update in the sense of some customer service! The spear is systematically upside down! Of course one can correct this manually - but with a product that I have paid for I would actually expect a patch. Or am I the only customer affected by the phenomenon?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So as the title says, whenever I try saving a scene, the bar reaches 100%, then I&#39;m greeted with this error and the scene doesn&#39;t end up getting saved. This keeps happening. I&#39;ve uninstalled and reinstalled DAZ (from Install Manager, manually deleted all DAZ folders from Documents, Program Files, Appdata/Roaming, etc, then re-installed from Install Manager) and still get this error when saving. Has anyone seen this and may possibly know what the deal is? It was working fine literally just yesterday. Any help would be appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Time and time again the clothes are perfect in view port but with tons of poke thrus in the actual render. Both the open gl and photo real viewport shows the same - perfect fit. It has been the same in 4.10, 4.11 and now in 4.12. What can be done? Changing collision or smoothing iterations doesn&#39;t work. I have to use push modifier or expand the clothes to get it to work.But why is the collision iterations working in the view port but not in the actual render?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[Hi guys, I'm currently using msi GS65 rtx2060 laptop, and have latest 4.12 beta installed, but it's still takes me 10+ hours to properly rendering a scene with iray. Real-time preview with iray in NVIDIA's commercial is literally  impossible. And i've been noticing that when it comes to rendering, my cpu is on max load while my rtx gpu was like 0% always. 
I thought it was because rtx gpu were not supported in previous version, but 4.12 is still the same, please help.]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am rendering scenes where the background renders fine ie landscapes objects etc... and If I bring in a naked figure it renders fine. However if I put any clothes on them then I get a salvatore dali image with disintigrating figure or just a ghost with clothes on. I thought it was Iray doing this as I can only render 3delight but I tried a G2 figure and as soon as I put on any clothing she disappears from the render while the clothes remain intact. What gives? I recall having this issue before ( long time ago) but until recently its been fine and now no matter what figure, when I dress them they go ghost.</p>

<p>I appreciate any ideas as I am in the middle of production of a graphic novel. Arrrggg!</p>

<p>I&#39;m very late to the Iray party but late is better than never I guess. I&#39;m considering an RTX 2080 Ti, but info is quite limited for now. I saw a few Iray benchmark threads but the test scenes in there were mainly just one character in an outdoor setting, without any background.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The scenes I render usually have two characters and an indoor setting, like in the attachment. I understand that indoor renders take up much more time in Iray, so I wonder, for a <strong>single</strong> RTX 2080 Ti card rendering 1920 x 1020 pixels for such a scene, what&#39;s your usual time? Knowing the performance of a single card is important so I can decide if I should build a rig with two or more RTX cards.</p>

I can transfer the morph and Mat&#39;s to G8M, but I am unable to transfer the Trunk. When I do, it loses the bones in the trunk. Is there a way to do this or is this impossible? Please help!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Im working on camera presets for M7HD and V7HD in the same scene.</p>

<p>Two days of doing the same thing and the V7 cameras refuses to work at all. The cameras save correctly for M7HD. (the HD shouldn&#39;t make a D@mn difference!</p>

<p>Its a pose set for market and it refuses to work.&nbsp; Ive wasted more time than the set can produce a profit on the market.</p>

<p>Fixing to scrap hundreds of US Dollars for just being flat out infuriated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I can click on the litle checkmarks beside body parts, as shoulder and forearm, turning the <strong>checkmarks</strong> to little <strong>x</strong>s. Does that lock those nodes? I&#39;ve tried the node selection tool, and I don&#39;t see any difference. If, in the parameters tab, I choose &quot;Lock Selected Nodes (Pose)&quot; or &quot;Unlock Selected Nodes (Pose),&quot; I don&#39;t see that anything happens to the little <strong>checkmarks</strong> or the little <strong>x</strong>s. Should I see a difference? So, if I want to move part of a figure&#39;s body, but not let the left colar, shoulder, forearm, hand, and fingers move (as an example), I&#39;ve been manually changing all of those <strong>checkmarks</strong> to <strong>x</strong>s in the Scene Tab. Then, I have to go back and change all the little <strong>x</strong>s back to <strong>checkmarks</strong>. Is there a faster way to do this?</p>

<p>Also, if I should choose &quot;Lock Selected Nodes (Shape)&quot; or &quot;Unlock Selected Nodes (Shape),&quot; what is the difference supposed to be between Pose and Shape? Does it mean that the shape can&#39;t be morphed if the node is locked?</p>

<p>No matter which rendering mode I have selected (&quot;Texture Shaded&quot;, &quot;Wire&nbsp;Shaded&quot;, etc.), the textures stay black.</p>

<p>Only if I render, the come back as intended.</p>

<p>When I delete this light, it all appears &quot;normal&quot; again.</p>

<p>What is this behaviour of the light, and how could I change this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi everyone , i create a car and rigged it by following the How to rig a prop tutorial (<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/156776/how-to-rig-a-prop-cabinet-doors">https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/156776/how-to-rig-a-prop-cabinet-doors</a>) and i create bones for the each front wheels. Now what i want to do is create a custom controller to make them twist left and right together. I do some research and find the creating a pose control from daz documentation (&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/creating_content/assembling/tutorials/pose_control/start">http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/creating_content/assembling/tutorials/pose_control/start</a>).</p>

<p>But i feel like this tutorial is outdated and can&#39;t figure out how to achieve what i want to do.</p>

<p>So do you have any tutorial, tips or way to control two bones with one single controller. Any ideas?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I was wondering if there is any good documentation on what Smart Content is, how it works and what the little symbols mean that show up in the top right corner of the icons? I am confused to what is happening because some icons have symbols in the corner and some do not. When I right click on the icons, depending on what the symbol is in the corner, I am given options to uninstall or install or install update. All of my content has been installed using the DIM so I don&#39;t know why I am given the option to install them again. Updating them I can understand but not a just a basic install if they are already installed. If I do click on the install, it takes a very, very ,very long time to install but when it is done the symbol in the top corner does disappear unless there is an update.</p>

<p>I was wondering what exactly is the Lost and Found Category in the far left hand column of the Smart Content window? I have noticed that a lot of items that I have installed using the DIM show up there for some reason and they are often grayed out, but they still load when I double click on them.</p>

<p>I accidentally re-imported all my metadata and now I&#39;m stuck with my content library and smart content full of empty duplicate products without thumbnails. I could go through them all in content library and delete them, but that would take ages. Is there an easier way to get them out of there?&nbsp;</p>
