      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello lovely peoples - firstly, Happy New Year!<br />
<br />
Secondly, I&#39;m having a right &#39;mare trying to install Animate2, which I&#39;ve just purchased. Am using Windows 10, 64 bit with DazStudio 4.12<br />
<br />
It&#39;s not listed anywhere in the Install Manager (have checked the filter boxes for Daz 3 and 4 and above are ticked, as well as the one for software and cleared the search bar) - nothing in there to let me download and install it. It&#39;s also not showing up in my Products tab within Daz or on the Install tab in there either (I don&#39;t expect it to, with being a plugin, just mentioning for completeness!)&nbsp;<br />
<br />
I&#39;ve manually downloaded the Win 64 exe (and the Win 32 one) and attempted to manually install but I keep getting the following error:<br />
<br />
&quot;There has been an error. The installation path for DAZ Studio could not be found. &#39;aniMate 2 DS3 (64bit)&quot; cannot be installed. Setup will now quit. The application will exit now.&quot;</p>

<p>The path it defaults to to try to install is is below:<br />
C:\Users\cpeac\OneDrive\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio3\content<br />
<br />
Now my Daz Studio is set up on my D drive, not in the default files it normally creates on the C drive,&nbsp;&nbsp;but no matter where I point the file, it comes up with the same error - I&#39;ve tried recreating the file path above&nbsp;under the D Drive where the rest of Daz is installed and it still won&#39;t have it. It&#39;s exactly the same if I run the Win 32 exe.<br />
<br />
Anyone got any ideas? Possibly my New Years brain just can&#39;t figure out exactly where I should be pointing it to, if its not the default folder it would normally expect to find.&nbsp;<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello! Don&#39;t know if this discussion is posted in the right forum, if not would like to know where to post it instead.</p>

<p>Anyway. Today I bought two pose sets for the genesis 8 male.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The first one is Faber Inc&#39;s&nbsp;<span>Stallion Poses for Genesis 8 Male and Michael 8.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p>T<span>he second one is&nbsp;</span>Manly Poses for Genesis 8 Male and Michael 8&nbsp;by Cherubit, and if it&#39;s worth noting, I don&#39;t own the Michael 8 figure.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Some poses work fine but in both set of poses there are some that are for Gensis 8 Male, yet this popup keeps coming up when I select to use them on the current figure which is a modifed G8M.</p>

<p><strong>Preset Exceeds Limits.&nbsp;</strong>&#39;The preset you are applying contains values that are outside the limits for the current item. Would you like to turn the limits off and applay the preset as it was created, or leave the limits on?&#39;&nbsp;<br />
Now what I don&#39;t understand is that even if I leave them on clipping still happens, the same if I take them off. Is it caused because I don&#39;t own the Michael 8?&nbsp;<br />
<br />
Is there some way to fix this problem or do I need to manually pose the parts of the figure that contors or goes through other parts?&nbsp;<br />
Would love some help if at all possible. Thank you for your time beforhand, fellow Dazers! ^w^<br />

<p>Today, I purchased two additional products but I cannot install them. Nothing is appearing in the DAZ Install Manager &quot;Ready to Download&quot; tab. It just shows 0.</p>

<p>I tried three times with no luck, with two separate product purchases.</p>

<p>Is there a technical issue today with product downloads?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have pretty much messed up my current install to the point of constant hang-ups and taking up to 20 minutes to load G8F.&nbsp; I won&#39;t get into how, but I just want to reinstall from scratch.&nbsp; &nbsp; Is there a way to completely uninstall my current version of Studio?&nbsp; Can I just use the Control Panel uninstall?&nbsp; I want everything gone except my uninstalled content backup files, which I will reinstall after I get&nbsp; clean version up and running.&nbsp; There is no uninstall program that I could find in my DAZ folder, but I have it spread across two drives so I might have missed it.</p>

<p>I&#39;m running a GtX 1080TI and after the latest Windows 10 64 bit update I&#39;m crashing all the time while DAZ studi stays opened. When DAZ is closed I don&#39;t crash with the latest driver installed. I am wondering if anyone out there with similar hardware and OS is experiencing crashing and if not, what is the driver version you&#39;re using, the crashing is making me go batty. Up until a week ago I was using nvidia driver version 419.67 with no troubles. Then the update happened and I ended up seeing a couple of crashes. I moved over to the latest driver 441.66 and now it&#39;s crashing if I let DAZ stay open for a little bit with no activity going on with Iray in viewport engaged.</p>

<p>Alternatively, is anyone using the public development version of DAZ and finding calm cool stability with 1080TI after the latest windows update?</p>

I would need your advice to choose a new config:<br />
Now I have an i5 9400F, 16Gb of RAM and a GeForce GTX 1050 with 2Gb of RAM ... So, obviously, it&#39;s not great for using Daz Studio correctly (the renderings are very very very slow).<br />
I plan to increase the PC&#39;s RAM to be 32Gb, to take an i9 9900K processor but, for the video card, I don&#39;t know ... I had thought of the MSI GeForce GTX 1660 ARMOR 6G OC.<br />
I don&#39;t know if I&#39;m making the right choice, maybe it&#39;s better to have a less efficient processor than the i9 but a better video card ... what I do know is that I have a budget of &euro; 1,000 for updating my PC, so any advice to help me make the right choice is welcome.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So..i don&#39;t usually go onto the forums too much and normally i can figure an issue out on my own but i&#39;m kinda not sure what to do with this issue as i can&#39;t fnd much on it (or perhaps i&#39;m missing it?)..Either way i&#39;m not sure exactly what&#39;s wrong with my genesis 8 figures and otherwise they had been working just fine but now any genesis 8 figure i try to use loads this way in the viewport area and also the eyelashes don&#39;t show as anything but solid colors instead of eyelashes as well (some models either show with no eyelashes or others don&#39;t show at all the base figure here i don&#39;t think seems to show any eyelashes or little). When i render them they show..well decently except for the eyelash issue depending on the genesis 8 model or character i use. My biggest problem to me isn&#39;t just the aforementioned but it&nbsp;is also the fact that i can&#39;t see how anything looks in the viewport until there is even a render that is completed. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? What am i missing?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Is it possible to bake a normal map out of a bump map?&nbsp; I have a character with skin that has &quot;Base Bump&quot; but no normals.&nbsp; For export to an engine, I&#39;d like to try it out with normal mapping rather than bump.&nbsp; I suppose bump simply modulates the vertex along the normal, whereas normal actually changes ... the normal at the vertex.&nbsp; Example of the bump map that comes with the character is shown:</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, I am trying to render a female character using multiple armors and she&#39;s sitting on the Dark Horse with the dark armor, and the file size is close to 21mb so it&#39;s not that big.... The problem is that in the rendering window the first image isn&#39;t loading even after 8 hours, the render box is showing something like &#39;1.3 iRay rend stat: Native CPU code generated in 89.6s... What can I do? I even lowered the SubD of the horse from 3 to 2.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When I look through Smart Content there are large boxes that appear when hovering too long over selections.</p>

<p>This can be helpful when you want to look closer at something, but I find mostly it gets in the way when your trying to look through content. It even overlaps the main viewport.</p>

<p>I looked through Preferences and could not find a way to turn this off. I don&#39;t think they are tooltips, but maybe they are?</p>

<p>I don&#39;t want to disable all tooltips, just these annoying pop up boxes.</p>

<p>Is there any way to do that?</p>

<p>i bought myself a nvidia RTX 2070 graphics card (CUDA cores 2304, 8GB GDDR 6, memory connection256-bit, clock frequency boost: 1860 MHz, memory clock 14.4 Gbps): Unfortunately Daz seems to hardly use it for rendering. I only selected the graphics card in the render settings, not cpu and graphics card.&nbsp;The image has been rendering for over 9 hours and the GPU usage is 0 to 5%. The image is very high resolution, but would have to render faster if the graphics card was fully used.&nbsp;</p>

<p>My CPU is a small bottleneck (Intel Core i7 3770K @ 3.50GHz, 32.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 800MHz), but that alone can&#39;t be the problem, because in games the GPU is used to 99% capacity.</p>

<p>Why is the GPU not used to 100%? Is there a guide for optimal settings of a RTX of the graphics card?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[Hi all!  Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this type of question.  I'm new to daz and 3D modeling in-general.

For the sake of this question, let's say I have a 3D model of a car, and I already have it textured and rigged in Blender so that the car doors open and close, the pedals move, and the steering wheel turns.  I want to take this rigged model and put it into daz such that it has custom sliders for opening/closing doors and moving the controls.  What is the workflow for accomplishing this?  

I've seen similar questions to this where the answers are sort of workarounds involving parenting a separate part to a primitive and just rotating that.  What I'm trying to accomplish is something more professional, like what you might see on a completed asset on the daz store or renderosity.]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi I am having trouble with the character&#39;s skin being to glossy.&nbsp; I am using Fantasy skins, Zurie model and Zelara model.&nbsp; I tried to use the option with fantasy skins to reduce the glossyness and got the following message:</p>

<p>&quot;It seems that, for the figures you have selected, some of the surfaces are not Iray Uber surfaces.&nbsp; Script cannot be executed.&nbsp; Please make sure that all the skin, lips and nail surfaces have uber Iray as a shader.&nbsp; Please apply Iray uber shader base on all skins, lips, nail surfaces or preferentially load the iray material provided with this figure.&quot;</p>

<p>So I am still really knew to this as I haven&#39;t used daz in long time.&nbsp; It took me six hours to get to the pictures I have included and most of it was trial and error.&nbsp; I tried loading the colour I wanted from the fantasy skins and still got the same message when I tried to run the script to reduce the glossyness.&nbsp; How do I check if what I am using is an&nbsp;iray uber surfaces?</p>

<p>Any help would be appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi group, I have a problem I hope you can help me figure out, I was very surprised at how easy it was to export&nbsp;a Daz character or object to the unreal engine as an FBX file through the export/import method. I only have&nbsp;two problems, one the retnas&nbsp;for some reason did import in, but I can&#39;t make&nbsp;them&nbsp;show. The second problem is this&nbsp;wierd dublicate of the feet and tail. I&#39;m pretty sure it&#39;s coming from the way I set up DAZ during the export, but darn if I can figure it out. The first two pix are what my character looks like in Unreal after the import, the third is my character in Daz3D before the export. Can anyone help me out here? Thank you. Rick</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all - I&#39;ve successfully imported a model into Unity and all is going well apart from one of my morphs that has negative values I would like to use in Unity. Do any of you know a way I can change the morphs manually in daz3d to use 0 - 200 for example and then reposition it myself. Or if there is a way to assign a negative value in Unity.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When you add a clothing item for Genesis 3 to Genesis 8 Figures, the Auto-Fit dialog&nbsp;asks for each item &quot;what figure was this originally designed for?&quot;.</p>

<p>When a wardrobe item has a lot of parts, the dialog box has to be answered for each item, which can take time.</p>

<p>Is there any way to have this answered by default so I don&#39;t have to do it manually??&nbsp;</p>

<p>It seems to me if you are adding a G3 wardrobe, then DAZ Studio should know already that the item was designed for G3.</p>

<p>Just a thought and wishlist item. Would be so awesome!</p>

<p>I created a Genesis 8 Woman Figure, and exported my figure with setting Daz Units : 1 unit = 1 cm and made the scale 1%. Then I imported this figure into Blender, where I unchecked the &#39;object&#39; and &#39;group&#39; in the import settings. Then I sculpted the character and exported the sculpted character. Next I opened Daz, selected the Genesis 8 woman figure and then clicked Morph Loader Pro, changed the units to Daz 1 unit = 1 cm, then changed the scale to 10000% (since I first changed the scale 1/100 less I multiplied 100% with 100). But it says Geometry did not match, failed to create morph. What am I doing wrong?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just recently upgraded to the most recent build of DS (4.12.0.86 Pro 64Bit) and since then any action that requires a confirmation - Save, Import, Export etc. no longer has a highlight on the button, so I have to now physically click the button with the mouse to perform the action. Is this a bug or a new feature? It&#39;s driving me nuts not being able to just hit the return key.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I was trying to make a Genesis 8 figure a kid at around age 7, 1.20 meters height.</p>

<p>I tried different techniques, from scaling down the body in blender and importing it as a morph to using the genesis 8 body morphs from DAZ originals.</p>

<p>Nothing seems to work.</p>

<p>It seems crazy to me that we can make the head of a kid in a few seconds but we can&#39;t make a body.</p>

<p>Can anyone help me out, if they managed to do it (without the Growing up Bundle) and tell me which sliders they used.</p>

<p>This is my result with the morphs.</p>

<p>Just started in on this.&nbsp; Looked around but can not find so posting it.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;I bring in the Character to max as FBX with bones as is or with helpers,&nbsp; both come in with higly complex rigs,&nbsp; bones on top of bones lots of stuff to deal with,&nbsp; I want to take it to motion builder and apply mocap.&nbsp; but need a fairly standarized rig for my skill level.</p>

<p>There seems to be two sets of skeletons coming in..&nbsp; &nbsp;Do I used Genenis 1 or Genesis 2?&nbsp; or What is the best way to deal with this my rigging skills are survival / biped level.&nbsp; &nbsp; Is there a simplier system that Daz 3d can produce? or what do do,&nbsp; I&nbsp; dont want to refit biped and re-skin kind of defeats the goal of having nice pro stuf out of the box.</p>

      <title>Duplicate formulas error?</title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay DS 4.12 has been running slow and kicking up a Duplicate Formulas Found warning when loading any Genesis 8 content.</p>

<p>I figured maybe its time to clean things a bit so:</p>

<p>1) I uninstalled all&nbsp;<span>Genesis 8 content, characters, hair, clothes, props, textures and anything with the number 8 in it just in case.</span></p>

<p><span>2) I did this via DIM then re-installed my&nbsp;</span>Genesis 8 content&nbsp;and loaded Victoria 8 to a blank scene.</p>

<p>Same error?</p>

<p>3) Cleared the log file and loaded Victoria 8 into the blank scene with the error again and opened the log file.</p>

<p>4) I picked one of the many warning entries that claimed the asset was not there.</p>

<p>5) I opened the target folder referenced by thet log file and the asset is there.</p>

<p>Q: Daz Studio seems to be coming up with errors for missing content that is actualy there?</p>

<p>It used to work fine this version with this content, I have also noticed many other people running into the same or similar issues as well.</p>

<p>The content is loading but these fake errors are making load times unworkable.</p>
