<p>I reinstalled DAZ due to some PC issues and Dforce now crashes instantly.</p>

<p>It dosnt start the process at all and just freezes and I have to force shut down.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Now this is something I have not seen before:</p>

<p>I put a bunch of props in a group hierarchy (2 levels) and did some simple animation (just translation along one axis) with the groups. Now that I have the rest of the scene ready and started rendering the animation, I noticed that the entire parent group just disappeared between the keyframes. And so I went on to inspect the scene and discovered that the parent as well as the child groups have their translation, rotate and scale values set to &quot;nan&quot; in all interpolated frames (and they also disappear in the viewport). The keyframes look fine and the groups are all where they are supposed to be in them. I have no idea how this is even possible or how to reproduce this issue, but that&#39;s the way the (persisted) scene currently is.</p>

<p>My only idea on how to fix this is to create new groups, move the objects there, apply the same translation values I had and hope this does not happen again.</p>

<p>Just posting this here because I am curious whether anyone else has stumbled upon this and whether there&#39;s an easier fix for this issue.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I want to dye only the front curl of a hair prop (is wearable hair also called &quot;prop&quot;?) in a different color. When I change the hair texture, I get colored strains all over the hair. So my idea is to export the hair to OBJ, import that into a program like Blender, select those strains I want to color, assign a new material to them, and bring it back into DS. But I haven&#39;t succeeded with that.</p>

<p>Loading a new UV set didn&#39;t import the new material. My guess is that the menu command <strong><em>update base geometry</em></strong> might do the trick, but I can&#39;t get it to work. Unfortunately, this tip&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/60689/can-t-get-update-base-geometry-working">https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/60689/can-t-get-update-base-geometry-working</a> didn&#39;t help since the hair prop only has base resolution. My hope is that I&#39;m just using the wrong settings when exporting the hair to OBJ. Because when I export it and try to import that very file right back in with <strong><em>update base geometry</em></strong> it still says <span><em>The loaded gemetry does not match the geometry it is updating. Vertex and facet count must be the same</em></span>.</p>

<p>Or is there a way of adding a new material in the surface tab and assign parts of the geometry to that new material within DAZ Studio?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, I have problems to use Iray HDRI Space by Kindred Arts. Is there a documentation how to use it? I tried all of the rendersettings, but I have problems to find the planets. For example the earth setting is only a black background for me.</p>

<p>I attached some test renders, so maybe you can help me.</p>

<p>It&#39;s the alien planet blue, moon 16k, sun and the last is the eart setting</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m starting to learn the proccess of creation of different props, clothes etc.</p>

<p>So here&#39;s the problem: I created my first dress for G8F, imported it as an .obj to DS, used Transfer Utility to fit it and enable auto-follow but there is a slight hiccup.</p>

<p><a rel="nofollow" href="https://i.imgur.com/Y2BV7ny.png">Zero pose screenshot</a>&nbsp;- looks OK(as far as I can tell, if you see problems, please tell me, yeah, there are no textures and no postwork yet, I was just learning how to make auto-fit and auto-follow work)</p>

<p><a rel="nofollow" href="https://i.imgur.com/ufG1UMJ.png">Moving shoulders forward screenshot</a>&nbsp;- the stomach part of the dress starts to look weird. It doesn&#39;t move when IRL it should.&nbsp;</p>

<p>What are the possible ways to fix it and make it look more natural? Is it possible to tell auto-follow to move parts of the model when other parts move?</p>

<p>I have a huge collection of Genesis 8 poses and many Genesis 3 poses. I&#39;d like to purchase the Street Rat. But I don&#39;t want to buy a slew of Genesis poses just for this one character.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I want to dial up the Street Rat shape (Genesis) for a Genesis 8 figure, so that I can use the Genesis 8 poses.</p>

<p>Is that possible to do?</p>

<p>I have adjusted the shape dials between G8 characters often, but I have never tried using the dials for G3 or earlier on a G8 figure, and don&#39;t know if that&#39;s possible.</p>

<p>So I thought I would ask before purchasing the Street Rat.</p>

<p>Today I updated to win10 from win8 (yeah I&#39;m late) just to find out that the daz forum doesn&#39;t work anymore there. While win8 works fine. The issue seems to be that the main page of the forum doesn&#39;t work with edge. While it works with ie11.</p>

<p>The easy workaround is to rearch for daz forum in google. It will show you both the link to the main page and the links to the sub-forums. There you can access the sub-forums. So you don&#39;t need the main page that doesn&#39;t work.</p>

<p>I&#39;m not going to open a ticket on this, since I searched the forum and I see that others already did it but daz seems not interested to fix it. Also the easy workaround I propose is not mentioned in that discussion. They simply reverted to use another browser.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Ever since 4.12, I haven&#39;t been able to keep the Timeline Tab with all my other tabs (smart content, simulation, render, etc). Instead what happens is it just takes over as the only tab, keeping me from using the others, until I take it away completely. This makes it much harder to get to content in between frames. Wondering if other have a similar issue and if there&#39;s a simple fix. Thank you.</p>

<p>Is there anybody out there who is rendering iray in Daz3D 4.12 using a Gigabyte RTX2070 WIndforce card ?</p>

<p>If so, are you having any problems with it dropping to CPU mode all the time ?</p>

<p>After waiting a month for a ticket repsonse I was <strong><em>eventually</em></strong> told that it&#39;s a driver issue with more recent nvidia drivers, but they can&#39;t tell me what version of driver <strong>WILL</strong> work. At the moment I have the feeling that they haven&#39;t a clue about the cause and are dumping me on nvidia&#39;s help staff instead.</p>

<p>If you are rendering with no isses could you please tell me what driver version you are using please. I really need to get the bottom of this while my card is still under warranty incase it&#39;s actually faulty</p>

<p>for some reason, when I try to render in a 3D room, it kills my Software (and yesterday also my PC....!)</p>

<p>I just used a little area of the render, because I wanted to check how the Top is looking (because its for G3F and I used it on G3M... dont want a boobies touch^^).</p>

<p>But for some reason my System cant handle it...</p>

<p>I made a test render without the room that worked (yai!...) can the room be a problem? its my first time with a full room, normally I use just an image, also because I thought its faster^^....(and it is indeed)</p>

<p>I changed the iray settings from CPU+Graphic Card to graphic Card only. My Card did cost over 200$ and can run the most games in High/Ultra so.... I am confused ;(</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>A Ryzen 7 3700x with my already purchased not-so-long-ago gtx 1070ti. I plan to add DDR4 ram frm 16go to maybe 32. I know that, of course, the graphics card is central to this and that to make a real leap I&#39;d need to get something more powerful than the 1070ti, but knowing that I am already using that same card on my current intel i72600K with 32go of DDR3, am I likely to still feel a really noticeable improvement in rendering speed with this new configuration?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>There have been a number of threads on the subject of DS 4.12 rendering very slowly (by a factor of 3 to 5 times slower). I have noticed that this happens after I have done two or three renders. I found that closing and restarting DS usually fixes the problem temporarily. To me this suggests a memory management issue. Does anyone know what the DAZ official position on this is? Is the bug acknowledged or not? If yes, then are they working on it?</p>

<p>Has anyone found a solution or workaround?</p>

<p>My system should be fast enough (new in 2019):</p>

<p>Win 10, i7 8700K, 3.7GHz, 32GM DDR4 RAM, Dual GeForce 1080 ti 11 GB (driver 441.66). DS has access to the CPU and both GPUs for rendering.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[Hi I've already done some searching and found the issues are relating to Genesis 8 morphs but I have a problem resolving and wonder if someone can shed some light on this.

The other day I ran the Riversoft Gen 3 to 8 Character converter tool and since then every scene I have that has a Gen 8 figure in it throws up this Duplicate Formulas error when loading it up. I've also noticed that render times have increased dramatically. This also occurs in any scene that has a Gen 8 figure created before I ran the converter  

I've uninstalled Daz, deleted all content and deleted all hidden Daz folders in Appdata and everywhere else (I'm Win 10 64bit) and gone through the registry. 

Rebooted and Reinstalled everything but still get the error when opening a scene with a Gen 8 figure. The only thing I've not done is hooked up DIM online for product updates (all my install packages are stored on another drive)

If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a scene&nbsp;with 6 objects in it.&nbsp; I want to export the scene as one wavefront file, and only have one item in the obj when I open it in Blender.&nbsp; I am using the scene as an obstacle in a fluid simulation.&nbsp; I want to be able to scale and transorm the entire scene as one item in Blender.&nbsp; Also this prevents haveing to set up properties for each individual item.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When I export the scene&nbsp;from&nbsp;Daz with the all items selected, I get one Obj. (good) When I import the Obj into Blender, I get 6 items in the scene window, which would&nbsp;ususally be a good thing.&nbsp; For the simulation, I want one wire mesh to work with.&nbsp; How do I export a Daz scene to a single mesh object?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Is there any way to render ground shadows while using &quot;Scene only&quot; environment settings WITHOUT adding a floor plane to the scene?</p>

<p>I&#39;m using Scene Only settings for the lighting, but this seems to disable the ground shadows. &quot;Draw ground shadows&quot; is on, and ground shadow intensity is set to 1.0, but no ground shadows are rendered.<br />
If I add a floor plane, I get the shadows, but then I can&#39;t use the transparent .png for compositing the ground shadows.</p>

<p>If I use Dome and Scene settings, I get the ground shadows, but it screws up my scene lighting.</p>

<p>Is there another setting I&#39;m missing?</p>

<p>I need to export the character to .obj and then re-import it into daz. Before that, I used this method quite often. Today again there is a need to do something similar, but instead of the correct import, the character has inverted normals and is in a different position. The export/import settings have not changed since the last successful import.</p>

<p>In addition, there were problems with using obj as a morph when working with morph loader pro.</p>

<p>is it possible to save multiple obj&#39;s as props in one go? There&#39;s 110 of them and the thought have having to save them all individually is really daunting. I tried saving the null that some were parented to but, that just saves the empty null.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I need help regarding change my content library path. I have chaged content library path to G drive and installed some stuff like some characters, clothes ,hair and some environment there but there was some problem in my system so I had to format my c drive. My all stuff like characters ,clothes ,hair and installed environment is still in G drive. But after formated c drive and installing windows agin and then daz studio in my c drive, I tried to give my old content library file path to content directory, Old stuff is not showing and did not retrived. How can I retrive my old stuff from G drive? Please help me.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>While loading files, rendering and running scripts daz studio keeps freezing for around 2-3 seconds. Sometimes it completely ferezes while rendering and I can&#39;t even use the mouse or the taskbar. I&#39;ve tried various fixes namely changing the NVIDIA drivers, increasing the virtual RAM, and using the scene optimizer. PC - i5 9300H with GTX1050 8GB ram running DAZ&nbsp;4.12 pro</p>

<p>Renders hang even with one G8 figure and a few clothing items (iray). How can I solve this?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So, looking to do a compromise quality/faster render time gpu driven render, I decided to experiment with interactive mode and unless I&#39;m very mistaken, it really seems to be bug city in there.<br />
<br />
Four things stand out very quickly...<br />
<br />
1: Rendering Convergence Ratio? Doesn&#39;t work, the renderer will just keep going and going and going.<br />
2: Max [Render] Time (secs)? Doesn&#39;t work, the renderer will keep rendering long past that threshold, indefinitely actually.<br />
<br />
It only seems to obey&nbsp;Max Samples, which, at least that&#39;s something but it&#39;s not the right tool for all situations.<br />
<br />
3: Under optimization, refinement mode: standard, none of the bounces settings (Max Ray Bounces/Max Reflection Bounces/Max Refraction Bounces) have any apparent effect on the final image or render time, which is disappointing because bounces are one of the key areas where it should be possible to tune the balance between quality/&quot;realism&quot;&nbsp;and render time.<br />
4: If I set refinement mode: interactive, it just flat out refuses to do any kind of shadows, apparently, which from what I&#39;m reading in Nvidia documentation, if I understand correctly, all possible modes should have some kind of shadow casting.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
And that&#39;s just from toying around with it for about 20-30 minutes. Am I doing something wrong or is photoreal&nbsp;the only adequately integrated and supported mode right now?</p>

I have rendered the same scene with diffent poses. I have included&nbsp;a screen grab of the settings, the render running and the result. I also included one of the scene that worked. I have ot shown the actual scene due to mature content.</p>
