      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have an interesting issue that I&#39;m hoping someone has a solution for.</p>

<p>I have an animation that I&#39;m exporting out to fbx from Studio to test with facial mocap (a set of 52 expressions), using powerpose and AFE expressions (love them by the way).&nbsp; When exporting, I have only one rule set to &quot;Anything&quot; bake, and unchecked morphs.&nbsp; I verified that in the morph list, those AFE expressions that I&#39;m using are coming out as YES (animating, see attached)</p>

<p>When I do that, all the expressions done with powerpose are there, but not the AFE ones.&nbsp; If I check morphs, of course everything breaks (see second image), its like all the expressions are tripled in strength (although when examining them, they are set to 100 only, both in studio and motionbuilder)</p>

<p>I tried exporting a file with just AFE expressions, again, nothing.&nbsp; Tried setting them as favorites (hoping this might help), nothing</p>

<p>Just for grins, I exported the same 52 expression animation to collada, using different settings (with morphs, without, baked morphs, exported), then converted to fbx,&nbsp; and all the powerpose keys came across, but not the AFE ones</p>

<p>I&#39;m using the latest beta public build</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>An issue that I am running into; with a bit of a background to explain why it is an issue.</p>

<p>For my DS installation, I only keep certain items &quot;permenantly&quot; installed; the Base Figures, Shaders, Lights, some plug ins.</p>

<p>I use the DAZ site as a catalog to flip through, to decide which items I want to use. Then I use DIM to install just those items to a &quot;Project&quot; directory. When I am done with the project, I archive the Project directory and then use DIM to uninstall the items that are installed to that directory.</p>

<p>So far this is working out pretty well for me. Figures load faster, I don&#39;t have pages of items to scan through. There are no extraneous items to distract me while I am going through my work flow.</p>

<p>Herein lies the issue: if I install something, then uninstall it...&nbsp; when I install it again, DS knows that the item has been installed previously. So that item inherits the old installation date and is no longer &quot;newly installed.&quot; Not a big deal it would seem, but when I go into Smart Content, All Products, and Sort By &quot;Install Date&quot; DS ignores that the item was just installed and instead remembers the old installation date. Because the item ends up way down in the list.</p>

<p>Is there a way to scrub out the old install dates? Or to make Smart Content realize that the item was just reinstalled?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[I installed daz on a second, virtual, computer but viewport is moving too fast that makes it impossible to control and adjust to specific angle. So any mouse rotation or dragging around the scene to view the objects, whether in perspective or a camera mode , causes uncontrolled jumping of viewing angle. 

I should also note that Daz works fine on my main computer. 

And another question, my virtual computer (provided by Shadow) shows different IP addresses and different country. I did submit a ticket about that to avoid getting in trouble. Is there anything specific about that in the TOS?

<p>And so, cursol moves in Scene Pane area</p>

<p>Daz Studio goes to no responce.</p>

<p>When cursol moves&nbsp;out from Scene Pane area,</p>

<p>after few seconds, Daz Studio returns&nbsp;responce.</p>

<p>Now my PC is windows10 pro,</p>

<p>and daz studio pro 64bit 4.12.0.86.</p>

<p>I remember</p>

<p>windows7 pro + DS 4.10 worked good, at same PC.</p>

<p>The PC history are</p>

<p>DS 4.10 updated to DS 4.11 (still windows7)</p>

<p>DS 4.11&nbsp;updated to DS 4.12&nbsp;(still windows7)</p>

<p>windows7 update to windows10 (still DS 4.12)</p>

<p>Can anybody tell me the resolution?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I like this product, but are the morphs custom?&nbsp; If I apply one of the heads, does it apply a unique face morph, or does it change all the Genesis 8 female face morph settings?</p>

<p>See, I like the nose on one head, but prefer&nbsp;the lips on the other head, so I want to mix and match Eye, Nose &amp; Lip morphs.</p>

<p>Is there a way to separate the morphs by Nose, Eyes, Lips, or are they already separated?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I want Genesis skin to be tan. I know the tan color I want, but I don&#39;t know how to set the transmitted &amp; sss colors to achieve the exact skin tone color I want.</p>

<p>Given the following values, how do I calculcate the unknown RGB color values of Transmitted and SSS color?</p>

<p>Base Color = R: 255, G: 255, B: 255<br />
Translucency Color = R: 255, G: 255, B: 255<br />
<strong>Transmitted </strong>Color = R, G, B&nbsp;(unknown values)<br />
<strong>SSS </strong>Color = R, G, B (unknown values)<br />
Desired Skin Tone Color = R: 204, G: 153, B: 102</p>

<p>There should be some kind of calculcator, where you punch in the desired skin tone color you want, then the transmitted and sss RGB colors get set automatically. Does anyone know the equation by any chance?</p>

<p>I tried the the tips of the Productpage but nothing workt. The Plug In File is in the right folder, The Lights and Probs are also there but in the Render Tab and in the Plug In Tab nothing - I can run Lux Render and Reality manually from the Application folder but then i am not able to render. Any help or idea? I cant register at the Pret a 3D Support Forum becaus of an error of the page.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have a wireless space mouse, it is not old or discontinued</p>

<p>so I am wondering when was the last time you updated the 3d mouse support ?</p>

<p>When the program does not recognize the newer products, it limits their functionality.</p>

<p>In my case, rotation and pan works, but zoom does not.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Have I done something wrong, or is DS genuinely unable to show the file preview PNG file in the file open dialogue (Win7 &amp; Win10)?</p>

<p>I am surprised that the icon display is not over-ridden with a .png preview of the .duf file in the open dialogue window on my PC. As a pretty mediocre programmer I couldn&#39;t get a file preview&nbsp;with a program of mine where I wanted it, so I actually wrote my own file open dialogue that does the job, and depending on the file extension it either reads the binary file for an embedded thumbnail, or looks for a different .bmp thumbnail when it finds an ascii file and displays that.</p>

<p>Just wondering if a file association is broken on my PC (in which case what can I do about it?) or whether DS simply doesn&#39;t have the facility to do it. If it doesn&#39;t, maybe it could be considered.</p>

<p>I click new and then add RS 2.0 lights to a scene and then add a (Genesis) figure and the figure comes out all black.</p>

<p>What is wrong here? :( I thought this was&nbsp;gonna be so simple hehe</p>

<p>Sometimes the lights appear in a pile&nbsp;at the figures feet. If I have to arrange the lights then that kind of defeats the purpose of buying the program.</p>

<p>NE help would be much appreciated.&nbsp;:)</p>

<p>And what does &quot;AO&quot; stand for?</p>

<p>Is it the render engine blocking the&nbsp;lights?</p>

<p>I am a newcomer to DAZ studio after being a Poser user for many years. Now, I was learning the basics, but I am particularly interested in the ERC freeze feature and how it is related to Poser dependent parameters. Over the years, I wrote a four parts tutorial about Poser dependent parameters (See the links below to the Free stuff section of the Renderosity site) and I believe that most of the content of my tutorial is directly applicable to the ERC freeze feature using the keyed type approach. In fact, DAZ can read Poser key format, but I have not evaluated all possibilities.</p>

<p>In order to help the Daz community, I am ready to write a short document how to adapt my tutorial content to DAZ freeze feature, but the keyed approach is not well described in the &ldquo;official&rdquo; documentation. Most of my knowledge about it is from reading threads on the DAZ forum. Thanks to Richard Haseltime, Kitakoredaz and Syrus_Dante for their relevant comments. Many options of the keyed type approach are always obscure to me and without a full understanding, it will difficult to link Poser dependent parameters to the keyed approach.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Up to now, I am able to use the animation timeline to program the key pattern for control of transformation parameters (Translation, rotation or scaling) and morphs. &nbsp;I understand part of the Property Hierarchy format and the key interpolation options.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>To be more efficient in my learning and to reduce time for extensive testing, I will appreciate to receive any information, web links and suggestions in regard to the keyed type approach.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Dear,</p>

<p>since 2007 , on 5 different PC&#39;s , daz 3d always has missing thumbnails. I contacted support so many times and nothing they suggested helped.</p>

<p>The &#39;main thumbnail&#39; of some content is missing. When I click on the missing thumnail ( the so famous white thumbnail with the &#39; ! &#39; in it ) all the data is there WITH their corresponding thumbnails. They can be laoded into daz and all functions well....except...always some yhumbs missing.<br />

Any REAl solutions to this ??</p>

<p>how can I disable those lines? if I hide the char, they dissappear too.</p>

<p>I did not selected anything, so I assumed it should be gone but sometimes they appear and sometimes not.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Just curious if there is a way to place an image from a .jpg file onto a primitive plane.</p>

<p>I want to project the image as a backdrop for the scene.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I added the primitive, stood it upright, and stretched it to the size I need. Then I went to Surfaces pane, but I don&#39;t see where to load an image.</p>

<p>Or perhaps, am I approaching this the wrong way?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I went from one body mat to another, both Iray and both appropriate for the model (Sylvan to Murphy).&nbsp; In texture view the eyes look fine but when I rendered or looked at them in Iray view there are black cirlcles around the iris&#39;s.&nbsp; I turned the eyes off and on and that cleared the issue in Iray view but not in render.&nbsp; When I returned to Iray view again the circles had returned.&nbsp; I have tried resetting to as basic a material as possible and that has seemed to work for a bit but the circles inevitably return in the rendering.&nbsp; It seems clear that it is an issue with the Iris border but I can figure what is wrong!&nbsp; Any help gladly accepted.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Is there an easy way to mirror image a figure?&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have two figures with the same pose, but I want to reverse one of the poses. The pose set does not include mirrored poses, so I will have to find a way to do it myself.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any help would be appreciated. I could not find anything when I googled this subject, so I am not sure how to do it.</p>
