      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am trying to reinstall stuff after having a failed hard drive and updating to windows 10.This problem is happening with quite a few different items so the following is the same for all items IM haveing problems with so for example I have the following:-</p>

	<li>looking in the available products they are listed but there is no icon to click on to load them. I have tried manual instal as well with the same effect uninstalled and tried again still the sameI have exactly the same problem with some other items for example</li>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am trying to use mcausual&#39;s script mcjWrapABand on a genesis 8 female in daz studio 4.12 Pro. That script and others of his that I have downloaded recently do not appear under the scripts menu even though they are in &quot;DAZ 3D Library\Scripts\mcasual&quot;. They do appear in the content library under that folder. Also the latest version of mjcCollider does appear under the create menu. But I&#39;ve never actually seen it do anything -- when I try to run it per its instructions, it does nothing.</p>

<p>For mjcWrapABand, I have followed the instructions on <a href="https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts9/mcjwrapaband" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts9/mcjwrapaband</a> exactly (with one exception described below). When I try to execute the script by right clicking on it in the content library and selecting &quot;load&quot; I get a warning window that lists the steps that I am supposed to take. (And I did take them.) clicking on &quot;OK dismisses that window but does not bring up the expected interface/</p>

<p>The only thing that differs from the instructions is that I cannot &quot;launch&quot; the script from the scripts menu item as it says to do.&nbsp; So I suspect that it&#39;s not appearing under that menu is the problem.</p>

<p>Anyone know what I&#39;m doing wrong?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m tryin gto build and sim a rope model - I modelled it in maya as a fairly dense tube and ir sims relatively well in Daz but the tube keeps collapsing like to a flattened ribbon - what parameters would allow it to stay sttiff enough to not collaps but still drape under gravity? Or is there a fifferent way I ned to model it - with interior edges maybe?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, got an odd problem. Whenever I zero a characters pose, the pelvis, both abdomens, both necks, the shoulders, and the head, are all slightly bent. If I zero them all manually and memorize pose, next time I try to zero pose, same problem. I have even saved the zero pose as a preset, but applying the preset zero pose still has those and only those nodes, or whatever the correct term is come out slightly bent. What the heck is going on?</p>

<p>It would simply be an annoyance, but if I&#39;m using the animated timeline for simulating cloth (what I&#39;m currently teaching myself) it causes all kinds of small problems. Applied poses in the timeline adjust themselves just that small bit after the keyframe if I don&#39;t keep applying new keys with the exact same pose all along the way for example.</p>

<p>Been messing with Daz for a awhile now figuring it out on my own, and now all of a sudden having lots of problems with basic stuff for some reason.</p>

<p>However, I was wondering if there was a way to move rigged objects such as cars, ships, building that have moveable parts into Maya and keep the rigging/bone systems the same so I can open a car door or a castle gate in Maya the same way I can in Daz</p>

<p>For the past two weeks I have had the issue that whenever I try to render outline using Scripted 3Delight Outline render with default settings, it renders the character transparent. This issue so far occurs for me only on Genesis 8 characters, and only when the character has clothing on. As you can see on the second picture, when the character has no clothing on, it renders the outline correctly with no transparency.</p>

<p>I need to point out that I had no issues with outline render before, not sure what caused it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Daz studio, but the issue persist. I was wondering if someone else had the same issue? Or if someone knows how to fix the issue?</p>

<p>I am using MacBook Pro 13 inch 2019, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655. My OS is macOS Catalina.</p>

<p>I have had these questions lingering for a while and want to go straight to the source (you smart people)!</p>

<p>Part&nbsp;1:&nbsp;I&#39;m curious about the two Daz to Maya exporters:</p>

<p>Basically my curiosity for both of these is their flexibility to&nbsp;get high quality, animatable meshes, morphs, and flexions out of DAZ to be used elsewhere (Maya). Typically FBX exports are at the lowest resolution mesh, and flexions (even if exported) will not link and trigger automatically.</p>

<p>Genesis 8 for Maya sounds to do that, but I still don&#39;t fully understand Genesis 8 and what &quot;Daz Original Core figures&nbsp;support&quot; actually means. Most of my DAZ figures are Genesis 1 -- are they &#39;compatible&#39; with Genesis 8 and this exporter? Even after reading, Genesis 8 does confuse me quite a bit. I&#39;d like use what I have if possible.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&quot;Daz to Maya&quot;, on the other hand, seems to export any Genesis character -- but makes no mentions of flexion linking and morphs -- though I love that it converts automatically do vray and arnold render engines.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Can anyone help me make sense of all of this, perhaps?&nbsp;</p>

<p>To add to the scenario, I have some potential work that the anatomy packages would apply to, and compatibility with these is also a concern:</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I purchased the new product called&nbsp;HD Body Shapes for Genesis 8 Female which adds 5 new HD morph dials, but I can&#39;t get them to show up.&nbsp; I first installed with Daz Connect and then tried a manual zip.&nbsp; The product shows as installed, but it&#39;s only containing files in the /data folder and there are no library facing files to be found.&nbsp; I don&#39;t see the morphs appearing for my G8F so I&#39;m wondering if they are using different names than what the product page says&nbsp;<span>(Athletic, Bold, Casual, Curvy &amp; Slim) and I tried based on the file names under /data.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Trying to figure out how to morph clothing. I export base obj, edit in blender then export out of blender. Morph loader pro loads the morph with no errors, but when I use the slider to apply the morph it just shrinks and wrinkles the entire peice of clothing like a wadded up tissue. It does this to the entire figure even if the morph created in blender only effects a small area of the mesh.</p>

<p>It looks a lot like if you exploded clothing in a dforce simulation. Except instead of exploding it into a larger mass it, I guess implodes is the best description, into a smaller crinkled mass.&nbsp; What am I doing wrong?</p>

The same is true if I save a Material from Genesis 2 (with a V4 UV). Is there any way to adjust these files so I can use them with V4?</p>

<p>Materials saved from V4 to DUF&#39;s DO work wuth Genesis 2.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently picked up a couple dForce hair products.&nbsp;</p>

<p>All the other hair products I have show up in the Iray Viewport preview, but the dForce hair for animals and people does not preview in Iray. It&#39;s just absent.</p>

<p>Turning on/off preview settings for the hair does nothing to get the hair to show up in the Iray preview.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This is very limiting, as I cannot determine if the hair fits the figure properly without the preview in Iray.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Is this intentional? Or am I doing something wrong?&nbsp;The Texture Shaded preview for dForce hair looks awful. It&#39;s just an flat poster &quot;indication&quot; of where the hair is located, not even a close representation&nbsp;of the actual hair.</p>

<p>It seems like most of the new hair products available on DAZ&nbsp;are dForce. To be honest I am sick of dForce. It throws a wrench in everything for me.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;m currently doing a scene with the Streets of Asia set that I want to blend into a photograph of a Korean palace, but I can&#39;t get the right perspective and it looks like the stream running though the middle of town is pouring onto the roof of an outbuilding. The only way to get the right perspective is to lose the camera angle that I want.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Does anyone have and information on how to use this shader? It is in the Default Resources folder.&nbsp;I am hoping to use this as a terrain shader where I can place grass, rocks, and snow on a large terrain and adjust the heights of each layer accordingly. I have placed texture maps in each of the layers, Base, Layer 1, Layer2, and Layer 3 but I am not getting any results.Thanks for any help!</p>

<p>That was a month ago.</p>

<p>No update, no progress, nothing. Tried redownloading the file - still borked. Used WinRAR and 7zip so it&#39;s the archive, not me.</p>

<p>How long does DAZ usually take on these things?</p>
