<p>ERC freeze is part of it.</p>

<p>She switches on and off bone rotation but I did not really explain why and when one want it to be on or off.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>This happened to me once before to another character. I fixed it but can&#39;t remember how I did that.<br />
This character I put into zero pose. But his body part parameters do not default to zero for some reason. I used &quot;Alt+click&quot; on each parameter after using the &quot;Zero pose&quot; and this is what it looks like at the supposed default.<br />
What can I do?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have to reinstall my OS and everything else. Doing that because my OS drive is tiny. I have finally got a larger drive.<br />
Right now my asset library for DAZ is on the D: drive, while Daz itself and all the Saved scenes, characters, etc are on teh C: drive. After reinstall I can&nbsp;put all the&nbsp;assets onto C drive. My worry is that all the scenes and characters I have made might get screwed up because &quot;My library&quot; is going to be on a different drive. Will I have that issue? Is there a way I can get around that?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m at a complete loss, because I made a dress/trench coat for Genesis 2 Male (I don&#39;t like the newer figures) and added custom bones to control the lower part (the skirt part) of the dress/coat&nbsp;and it works perfectly on the base character. But I made it specificially for a custom character for a book I&#39;m writing and he uses the height morph, in the negative value (making him taller). He&#39;s only a bit taller than the base figure, however that doesn&#39;t matter, because the custom bones I made for the &quot;skirt&quot; section of the dress/coat do not follow that morph, so the rigging I did is useless now. I have followed all of the tutorials on how to adjust rigging to shape and ERC freeze it, but instead of working, it just messes up the rigging entirely and makes the bones shorter, instead of taller, (I&#39;m assuming because the Height morph goes in negative values to make them taller, instead of positive, which honestly doesn&#39;t make sense). I am pretty good at doing JCMs at this point, but I have obviously not figured out how to do morph controlled fixes, because I can correct rotation (bend, side to side, twist, ect) just fine with morphs, but I can&#39;t figure out how to fix rigging in a morph that is for comformed clothing. I can do it in a figure that is not conformed to someone else or a morph that doesn&#39;t go to negative values, but I can&#39;t figure it out for something like this and it&#39;s making me feel like I&#39;m&nbsp;am missing something or just incable of figuring it out, but there are no results that I can find that discuss this specific thing. I hope what I&#39;m saying is making sense and I hope someone knows what I&#39;m doing wrong, if there&#39;s an extra step for morphs that go in the negative value or something? Please help me and thank you in advance.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I dont know what to call this problem.</p>

<p>Upon even loading a regular zero/default Genesis 8 figure, saved Morph Assets I made from Zbrush are loading at 100%.</p>

<p>I used the File &gt; Save As &gt; Morph Assets<br />
Then I used, Paramiters&nbsp;&gt; Memorize &gt;&nbsp;Figure/Shape</p>

<p>Now these morphs load with every single default, saved character, so on.</p>

<p>How do I stop this from happening?</p>

<p>In the Attachments Below is a Visual Screenshot of the issue at hand.</p>

<p>Any help is much, much appreciated. As I cannot figure this out.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I purchased the&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/Steampunk-and-Sherlock-Street-Detective-Bundle">Steampunk and Sherlock Street Detective Bundle | Daz 3D</a>&nbsp;a few sales back and have been having issues with the assets&nbsp;loading, since.</p>

<p>Already created a post for Mark G8M&nbsp;not loading when clicking the .duf, this was fixed after an Update was found for it when I logged into connect by accident. Was advised that logging in if you have a library from non-Daz can cause issues so I have not logged in since that post and have had no issues with Mark loading.</p>

<p>But today I trying to load&nbsp;bastien curly hair (Another item in the same bundle) and am having issues so I am now wordering if my issues stem from&nbsp;just this bundle as another item in this bundle is not loading as expected.</p>

<p>A simple question. What you see in the pic is a bug of Genesis 8.1 base figure or something has damaged the mesh? It happens only on the left shoulder as you can see.</p>

<p>When I bend up and down, you know that for an instant you can see the base resolution than, back toi high. Well, when I bend I see that, Is the first time I see that bug!</p>

<p>I am really disapointed by your products. You seem to be aroud&nbsp;for&nbsp;15 yers yet I have excessive difficulties installing Daz Studio.<br />
First I downloaded and installed Daz Central. I ran it to download Daz Studio but the download didn&#39;t go well. It got stuck at 57% and then it stopped.&nbsp;I reran it several times but could not complete the download well as it seemed to stop alone without reason.&nbsp;Looking for info on the internet I found a reddit post that says that Daz Central is very unefficient and that Daz DIM was better. So I downloaded and installed DIM. DIM tried to dowload the necessary files as an automatic queue but it seems it tries to download several packs at a time. On my slow connection it becomers a nightmare as nothing gets completed. Then it seems I gave to unlog and relog to be able to install. Well I got several diificulties downloading to the point that I had to remove the autoamttic queue and download the files one at a time to at least complet all the downloads. At this point I thought my nightmare was behind me. Alas when runninig Daz Studio no files were there. I had a warning on all files that should be here :&nbsp;the files were not there. I searched and found that there may be content directory pointing problems. Alas even with infio I was not able&nbsp;to fix this. So I&nbsp;decided to desinstall the packages and resintall them. To no point. Then I decided to&nbsp;uninstall everything, Studio, DIM , Central, and make a fresh install. I resinstalled DIM and Daz Studio alone and launched it. I got a message telling me that I need to install postgre sql CMS and i did. but I could not install it as the installer tells me another version is already installed. As advised I tried to desinstall the previous version but windows can&#39;t find another installation on my machine.&nbsp;<br />
This is the point where I am now. Quite angry and disapointed . I don&#39;t think I&nbsp;had so many problems installing an application in my whole life. I lost half a day trying to install this software to no point.</p>

<p>Why Central and DIM try to download several packs at once instead of properly queuing them ion the correct order ? I&#39;m not an expert but this seems to be the root of all the installtion problerms. As some other people tried to resume thheir installtion from Central to&nbsp; Dim to better manage it. Maybe the 2 installations are confliting each other. Anyway I stil ldon&#39;t understand why the installtion process is so complicated.</p>

<p>So right now i don&#39;t know what tio do as I seem stuck. Even a&nbsp;fresh reinstall does not work. This is insane. Please try to help me out.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently tried to use &quot;Urban Decay DAZ Studio Shaders&quot; by Davis Brinnen and forbiddenWhispers and all I could see was a blue-grey sheen. Nothing i did could make the terrain appear on a flat plane primitive,&nbsp;though checking the bump indicated that it had loaded. Both 3delight and iray sets are provided; I&nbsp;used iray.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Curiously, loading the shaders altered the Surfaces menu so there was no &#39;base&#39; box/slider provided.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any help would be appreciated. There are othert shaders oput there, but it would be nice to see the thing work...</p>

<p>Been fiddling with some skins and SSS settings and I noticed the leg surface area on my model just got an artefact on ONLY one leg at random. Checked my surface settings, every map is okay, the polygons are all where they should be, and it&#39;s strictly from the anatomy, not any of the clothes on top.</p>

<p>Any ideas what could cause this ? I fiddled with SSS and Translucency from surface tab for reference, but all the skin has the same settings atm. Previously I did load maps from a different character on top of the original one, but I would find it hard to believe only the upper left leg area would cause problems in that case.</p>

<p>PS: I&#39;ve also added the reference right leg without any artefact, and the selection of the leg area surface to get an idea where the problem is.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So, I&#39;ve been trying to avoid asking this question by doing workarounds for a while, however, at this point, I should just ask;<br />
<br />
How do I export the bone movement from a morph to Blender? Whenever I export to Blender, the morphs stay in the form of Shape Keys, but the rig movement does not follow long.<br />
<br />
In Daz3 the bones are clearly shown to follow the morphs of the Dwarf shape. However, in Blender. The bones stay in the form of the original Gen8 model, not the shape of the dwarf.<br />
<br />
This is quite the issue since I am working in Unity, and if the characters change shape to something bigger or smaller, any &quot;addons&quot; I create will either be floating off the body or be stuck half way through it instead.<br />
<br />
I&#39;ve been working on some work arounds, like creating a red dot on the material and then having the game object use that to find its position.. But it just seems like such a huge workaround to something that I&#39;m sure should work out of the box?<br />
<br />
I mean, it makes little sense why the bones wouldnt follow the morphs in Blender since they do in Daz3d?<br />
<br />
If anyone could help me out, that would be amazing, though, please keep in mind. I am not a 3D artist, I am a programmer, slowly learning to use Blender through trial and error, so, if I have to do something special to get it working, then please tell me where to find it or give me a keyword to Google :)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey there,&nbsp;</p>

<p>For a while I&#39;ve been trying to figure out how to make more of my own custom buttons for the toolbar.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I know the process for taking something in the Content Library and making a custom action for it then going through F3 to make the button.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But I haven&#39;t found/figured out yet how to do something a little more advanced.&nbsp;</p>

<p>For example, in a custom figure I&#39;ve made, it can be approximated as a tentacle or a worm in its rigging. Basically one big long chain of bones.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;d ideally like to create a shortcut or button that selects all the children from the selected bone and also selects all the bones in the Parameters tab as well.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Is there a guide around on how to accomplish something like this? Is it even possible?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello.&nbsp; I&#39;m no deep Studio explorer.&nbsp; I just license products and make pictures.&nbsp; I&#39;d animate them, but Studio is still ill suited for that.&nbsp; I&#39;ve been testing ways to use stranded hair objects, and they&#39;re not behaving rationally under Studio 4.20 on my Win10 machine.&nbsp; Maybe someone can tell me which are real bugs in Studio, and which are just goof-ups on my part (and help me goof them up no more).&nbsp; Pictures are attached, edited for inline.</p>

<p>Let&#39;s say I want to make some pictures with a fuzzy-wuzzy mama bear.</p>

<ol>
	<li>To save money, I dust off the old Zygote bear and start with that.&nbsp; Then I create a new hair object and fit it to her.</li>
	<li>The hair editor opens and there&#39;s the bear rotated to some oddball angle.&nbsp; I didn&#39;t rotate anything.</li>
	<li>When I exit the editor, she&#39;s still rotated, and I can&#39;t unrotate her.&nbsp; The controls aren&#39;t locked, but the sliders and the typed inputs and the rotate widget all do nothing.&nbsp; Until I delete the hair object, she&#39;s stuck like that.&nbsp; I have to juggle three axis rotates of the hip node to level her out or reorient her.&nbsp; What&#39;s up with that?<br />

	<li>So I ignore that for the moment and proceed with the hair, giving it a salted golden-ish color.</li>
	<li>When I finish, the hair ain&#39;t golden, even after I reassign the dual-lobe shader and return to the hair editor to confirm the color-picker.&nbsp; I can change the transmission color and the highlight color and the glossy, but the hair itself stays black-hole black no matter what I change.&nbsp; Is it supposed to do that?<br />

	<li>I decide to settle for a black bear and feel grateful that at least it&#39;s not <span>green</span>.&nbsp; I also update the figure to iRay Uber surfaces and color them to match the fur.&nbsp; I add two D-formers for closing the eyes, pose a scene with a second figure and add a camera.</li>
	<li>I want more than one pose combination with the two figures, so I set the poses as keyframes and advance the timeline.&nbsp; When I finish posing, I save it all one more time and shut down.</li>
	<li>When I open the file next time, something&#39;s missing.&nbsp; Where is the camera in my timeline?&nbsp; Where are the D-formers?&nbsp; I can see that all visibility flags are active, so what&#39;s going on?&nbsp; Sometimes keyMate and graphMate can show me channels that have vanished from the primary timeline, but not always.&nbsp; The animation tools are failing me again, and I&#39;m not even animating.&nbsp; What gives?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey guys, hope I can get a solution this this problem. Googling certainly hasnt helped.</p>

<p>I&#39;m not sure what&#39;s going on, but&nbsp;Morph Dials for all Genesis versions&nbsp;are resetting every time to default; even when they are saved as Preset Characters + Wearables.</p>

<p>For example: I&#39;ll use body/foot/Facial morphs for Genesis 8 from the store, make something nice, then save as a character. But when I load them in, those morphs are reset back&nbsp;to 0/default. And sometimes I&#39;ll get some sort of error, saying something like &quot;Chestscale-Upper&nbsp;cant be found&quot;. Which is bizaar, because the dials work fine, morph fine, but Saving them as characters does something wrong?</p>

<p>I been told your supposed to Favorite the used dials, and then lock them. But that has not worked. They will remain favorited and locked, but they still revert to 0/default.</p>

<p>Lastly, morphs I make myself using Zbrush + GoZ work fine and even stay at the correct morph value when saved/loaded into a scene.</p>

<p>Is there something I am doing wrong, or a step I am skipping when saving a character using Genesis (x) morphs from the community?</p>

<p>I did make sure they were installed corectly using&nbsp;DazCentral and even Daz Install Manager, and they are indeed recognized and installed correctly it says.</p>

<p>I have screencapped an example of one of the errors, and attached the file to this post below.</p>

<p>I&#39;m quite confused.</p>

<p>I&#39;m not sure why there is an error sometimes&nbsp;and sometimes not, when it functions just fine when used.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>For the last few days (no prgram updates or graphics cards updates have occured and all drivers and programs are up to date), I have had an issue where if I started a render and had to cancel it to fix something, the render would not ever cancel out and allow me access to teh GUI again. It would instead, after cancel confirmation, move to a non-responding state and force me to kill it via task manager. Upon restarting Daz it would get an error stating I am on a previous version of Open GL and Open GL 1.3 is required and instructs me to get an update from my graphics card manufacturer (running a fully updated Geforce 960M).&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have to restart the the entire computer to clear this error and open daz studio again. Please assist.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently installed Win11 on a new rig and thus a clean DAZ install.</p>

<p>Since then, when I&#39;m done working on a custom morph for Genesis 8 Female (created FHM, FBM and CTRL slider), I set as usual the CTRL (full character) slider at 100% and save a preset.</p>

<p>I tried character, shape preset and result is the same. It loads nothing more than the g8 default.</p>

<p><strong>Shape Preset : </strong></p>

<p>If I manuall edit the duf file I can see that all values are at 0,0. Example :</p>

<p>I edit the file, change 0,0 by 0,1 and then it works. So it&#39;s a problem that&#39;s easily fixable but I wonder what&#39;s causing that :/</p>

<p><strong>Character Preset :</strong></p>

<p>If I edit this duf file manually, there are not even entries &quot;Alexia&quot; for the character I create. Nothing is saved in the duf except the basic loading of a Genesis 8 Female. Not sure either how I could manually edit this one to add a few lines of code to load the proper slider values :/</p>

<p>I&#39;ll try to do my best to describe what bothers me in this particular scene...</p>

<p>What should I do to avoid the artefact within the &quot;white square&quot; ? It is rendered in this scene and not on the other scenes this model &quot;Kala&quot; is present. The position of the model is the same, only the orientation changes.</p>

<p>On the other renders from the same model this &quot;related to hairs&quot; artefact is not drawn.</p>

<p>These hairs don&#39;t feature &quot;head size&quot; to be modified so... it is frustrating.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Concerning the issue within the &quot;green square&quot; I just wonder which parameter(s) I have to modify to avoid the eyes to mirror the surrounding lights ?</p>

<p>I can&#39;t remember which Bulge/Cornea Raised amount but it is less than 25%.</p>

I tried increasing the gravity, didn&#39;t work. Cou;dn&#39;t find anything in the other threads of the same topic as well. Any ideas? Thanks!</p>
