From Russia for Rune 7

I like the characters, but I don't need another warrior.

What would happen if I applied the From Russia modifiers to another Gen 3 character like Willow, or the base Gen 3 figure?

    Hi Petercat, I will render a couple of samples for you with Victoria 7 and others.  Here you have Russia skin applied to my character Akiko for Mei Lin.

    Thank you. Those eyebrows are great. Do the face shapes work at all with G3?

    Here there is Russia skin applied to Victoria 7.  Iray Render stopped at 80%.

    I was about to pass on Rune, but then saw what someone in the galleries had done with the Russia for Rune 7 morph and it completely changed my opinion of the figure.

    I don't have time to test the 4 morphs included in Russia, without Rune 7; but I tested Anastasiya that is one of my favorite morphs.   I didn't want to unistall Rune 7, so I applied Anastasiya Head morph first and then changed Rune 7 head dial back to zero (see screen capture attached).

    Here is the result.

    Nuts... I was going to hold off on the Russia for Rune for another day or two and now I can't wait.  These are stunning.

    For all of you that asked about the lights that I use for my promos (not here; but that sent me  PM):   In those renders that the skin looks reddish, I almost always use the default Environment image that comes with DAZ Stuidio plus one of the lights that comes with the product " Painter's lights" .  For those renders were the skin looks paler and with a peach tone, I almost always use an HDRI image that comes with Poser 6 (and above) identified as Office Foyer and I usually rotate the dome to 204 or around that value.  Other environments that I like and often use are those created by ElianeCK and a set of free lights that FSWA offered as a gift last December.  I suggest to always apply an image to the environment and test renders rotating the dome to different values, sometimes you are going to see a huge difference in the results depending on the position of the dome. 

    Edit to add: I always use a custom camera specially designed for Close-up portraits.  That camera was included with my product Min-Seo for Mei Lin 6.

    Aw, forget it. I already have V7 and Casual Summer. I don't need any more "flirty" poses, bikinis or wildly impractical fighting outfits.

    Purchased. Along with some plants and a dirt shader.

    I'll PM you when I do. Several of the main characters in my webcomic are of Russian descent, like Teresa, my avatar, so I can't change their appearance, but there'll always be new ones! (Hint: They reflect real people that I've known, so they're the good guys.)

    Grrr, I just bought this and I forgot that it requires rune (I didn't buy her). Luckily, these pictures look great, so I think it will be OK

    Rune is required to get the specific face shapes shown in the promos, but the morphs will work on any Genesis 3 Female including the base. One of the pictures earlier in this thread was the PA applying the Anastasiya head with the Rune head morph zeroed out, and the face is quite pretty. It's why I bought the product when I don't have Rune, (yet.)

    I'm guessing you'll love the morphs with and without Rune.

    Well, I applied the morphs to the base G3 figure, and the results are great. Sadly, I don't have Mei Lin 7...

    I wonder if I can apply Elena to Gen3 Male if I ever need to create a Man From U.N.C.L.E. Illya Kuryakin figure?

    I love the morphs and the textures. I put this on my wishlist when it came out, hoping to buy it when Rune is a bargain. I was so happy to learn that you don't need Rune.     Try as I might, I still have yet to get a face that balanced.  crying.
