Hexagon Still Being Updated / Used?

I'm looking at a simplier 3D software then what I have been using (and less expensive) so picked up Hexagon, I was wondering is it still being supported? And if now is it Carrara instead, though that seems much more involved.  I'm and experienced modeler just looking for something to do mostly static models I can upgrade without breaking the bank.

If you *can* use it, go ahead. There are vendors who have products in the store that were built in Hexagon.

A lot of people find it a crash box though. And it only runs in 32-bit, so a modern OS can't necessarily run it.

Modern OSs can run it just fine. It's that it is limited by a 32 bit memory which utilities such as Large Address Aware help address ;-)

At DeviantArt I'm Catherine3678a and have recently uploaded some more tutorials in which I do use Hexagon along with Daz Studio. As one becomes familar with Hexagon, it crashes less ;-)

http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/hexagon/2/start shows that there is a Private Beta going on.
