Superdress Update Live

Hi all,
Its been a long time coming, but i have finally updated the Superdress with a few bits that needed reworking,
EDIT: The Updated is Live.

*Added fully auto-conforming (version 2) dress with JCMs, so everything is rigged for auto follow including the skirt -which has 8 Joint corrective morphs that apply automatically for modest thigh movement. But you can still apply the additional skirt movement morphs to it - for the more demanding poses such as sitting etc.
(So you will now have 2 versions of the dress to choose from, as I have left the old version in with manual skirt rigging just in case some people prefer it - although in my opinion the V2 dress does everything the original dress does with less fiddeling).

*Added custom Fits (Full Body Morphs) for: Aiko6, Olympia, Belle, Lilith, MeiLin & Giselle (added to both dress versions)

*Fixed displacement issue effecting Partial Mat '00 Neck small.duf' where the parameters & map didn't match the surrounding material zones, causing a slight gap at the seam. (credit to eagle-eyed Barbult for spotting this one :) )

*Slight Improvments made the Dresses Leather Mats so they don't look as washed out/faded under bright lighting.

The superdress has been very popular, so a heart felt thank you to all those who have pruchased it :)

Ta!

Sounds like a fantastic update! Much more than we would expect or even hope for! The addition of the JCM version and the extra fbms sounds really useful. Thanks! I hope DAZ QA works quickly.

This thread inspired me to make an image that uses every Dogz product I own, including Super Dress, of course. I even put the Super Dress (top) and 3 in 1 pants, and Mall Girl boots on G2M with auto fit. All clothing, glasses, and shoes in the image are from Dogz. All figures are Genesis 2. Genesis clothing was fit with autofit. Products used in the image are listed in my Gallery

    Edit: fixed gallery image link

Its utterly bizarre, grotesque, unsettling and tragic- yet somehow its still funny, worth watching. :P

How did I not have this dress in my runtime before? Picked this up today, and it looks great. There is however one oddity which is proving a bit of a nuisance. It's not the dress but the leggings. There seems to be missing polygons, and I'm not entirely sure why.

The surface selection tool shows the 'panty' area as a full and complete surface, as expected. However, surface materials aren't applied to the apparent missing polygons, and neither are they selectable in the geometry editor (unlike other 'invisible' polygons, for example). I've tried unhiding them amongst other things, but I'm stumped.

It could possibly be simply a corrupt file, but I thought I'd offer it up anyway in case it's an issue which needs fixing.

Uh oh, that doesn't look too good!..... thanks H.O.F, bear with me while I investigate.
Did that preset just load like that or what?

Edit so far: I cannot replicate the problem... So im not sure how that is happening.
Have you tried re-installing the super dress?

HoF, one thing to check is that you installed the update into the same folder as the original or explicitly uninstalled the old - otherwise, the .duf file may find the old asset files before it finds the new.

I'm going to sit in the corner and wear my dunce cap. All is well. I'd hidden the lower part of the mesh to lower the overheads, but unknowingly also removed the 'thigh' section which includes the backside of the panties. So... not a bug with the product, just a bug with the user. I need to upgrade my brain to the latest firmware.

That being said, there was one very minor issue of the Super Dress V2 not being given a scene identification, so the Smart Content wouldn't display any items for it. I fixed it manually, but it's probably worth letting Daz know so they can fix the installer.

By way of compensation, here's the first outfit I've made using the dress. Keep being awesome Dogz.

Look at my super new dress -- uh -- I mean my new Super Dress!
This is 50% Olympia and 50% Victoria 6. Thanks for the update. Tell DAZ to update the product page to tout all the new features.

I see a strange collection of morphs for the Skirt Belt. Are these correct? Some don't seem applicable.

odd, I don't have that in my copy, | checked the data folder for the skirt belt, and the only morphs there are the ones it should have.
    can you browse to:
    \My Library\data\Dogz\Super Dress & Leggings\Skirt Belt\Morphs\Dogz\Base
and tell me if all those morphs are showing up there?

No, I only have 5 FBMs and Size Adjust in that folder.

I can't reproduce the belt morph problem now, but you can see from the screenshot that it really happened. It must be a DAZ bug???? I'll just keep my eye out for it and see if it recurs.

Had you perhaps fitted the belt to the dress? If so any active morphs would have been transferred, though they should still have been hidden.

I may have fit the belt to the dress and then changed it to fit G2F. This is really puzzling to me. I cannot reproduce the problem by loading a new G2F, fitting the Super Dress and Skirt Belt. I tried fitting the belt to the dress and to G2F. I tried dialing the skirt morphs both before and after adding the belt and I can't find the combo that causes this. So I reloaded the scene that had caused the problem, and I still see a problem. I had modified the scene after doing that screenshot, so the list of curious morphs is different, but still curious. This is what I see now.

    Thanks

Load the dress into the scene, then go to the scene tab. Click on the dress first, then look for an icon in the top-right of the tab which opens a contextual menu. Click on Edit and then Scene Identification.

Once open, look under Compatibility Base. It'll probably read as "none", so click the ellipses (...) on the right hand side to open up another window which allows you to choose the right base.

In the root look for "Super Dress and Leggings for Genesis 2 Female(s)" and then expand it and click on "Super Dress" which appears under it. Click the Accept button, Click it again and you're done. Daz can now associate that model with the Super Dress and will automatically display any utilities or materials compatible with it.

I only discovered the Superdress last night and have been on the fence about buying it all day. I gave in a couple of hours ago and within about thirty minutes had recreated a dress my sister used to have when she was about six. There would have been no 'on the fence' had I realised that the promo images don't even scratch the surface of what the Superdress can do. I have already told all the Gen 2 characters that it's the first thing they have to rescue in the event of a 3D house fire :)

    Hello everybody!

Sorry if this is not the right 3d for my question, and I have no idea how old are the messages here, since daz forum doesnt show the date of replies (to me at least).

    (Edit: I found the date!)

I have  question about this great set of wardrobe. I guess it's an easy to solve problem, but I can't get how to lower the belt so to  fit to the mini skirt shape.

I want to have a mini top and a mini skirt with belt.

Here is my worrkflow, please let me know if this is correct or if there is any other way to do this.

    1. Posed G2

    2. Add superdress, shape it to make a mini top with right material.

    3. Add a second superdress, shape it to make a mini skirt. Select it.

    4. Add a belt.

The belt looks in the middle of G2 belly, not lower to the skirt border. Since it is linked to the second super dress I can't lower it by hand (parater traslate y).

I am sure I missing something.. Thanks!

There are two different belts.  There is one labeled Skirt Belt which will place it around the belt loops of the skirt instead of the middle.
