I don't want to take over the thread in the render challenge http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/44033/P60/, here is EP adding DOF http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewreply/650534/ without lens blur.

I have Photoshop CS2, I don't know if earlier versions have this.
I went and made a bunch of images showing how I do it with Lens Blur. The keyboard controls are Windows, I don't know mac's equivalent.

Skipped a step, in the first image click on your rendered image in the layers panel before moving to the step in the second image.:cheese:

This looks like some good stuff...I'll explore it later.

I have Photoshop CS6; but that like handing an M-60 to someone who is used to a pellet gun...

    Thanks!

Wow! Thank you for posting this. Very helpful. Maybe we can get Dart to add this thread to his sticky thread on Carrara Information manual.

    Thanks kashyyyk,

Here is another sample of the "Depth" DOF can add to a scene.

An older image Rendered in Carrara 8.5 using your same method above.

If memory recalls,I think I focused the depth on the Arkana's neck, blurring her hands, bow and background nicely.
