You've changed the way I look at the undead Fiend.

haha... same here. Now every single time I start DS, I see the splash screen and think "donuts..."

BTW, there are some good creatures, even ones not coated in powdered sugar and dipped in coffee, in this contest. I wanted to join in but have too many other projects running at the moment, so I'll have to sit back and watch this time.

    My Entry.
This is my tribute to the RPGs I played so much through the years. A band of recruits ready for battle and adventure, including a sword-wielding Maiden, a Wizard, and a "friendly" Monster.
    1. Skullcrusher Ogre (additional figures, V6 Norma character, Genesis)
    2. "Fellow Travelers"
    3. DAZ Studio 4.6, rendered in 3Delight (with Subsurface Shaders applied to figures and clothing)
Thanks for the contest, I had fun making this. : )

That is just too awesome to not win. :D

This image grew out of a joke I made in the Members forum that Undead Fiend looked a bit like a glazed chocolate donut. I posted a prior version of the image there (funny version), but have made changes to the scene and re-rendered a new version and left off the text, as I thought it might be fun to enter it in this contest.

    Hope you enjoy. :)

    Undead Donuts

    Figure: Undead Fiend
Rendered in DS 4.6 with minor postwork in Pixelmator.

Since there is only a couple days left on this I'd like to remind everyone that its time to get your images in. Also, please double check your image and make sure you have the required info on it or it will be disqualified. As a reminder the required info is
    1. Figure used
    2. Image Title
    3. Software Used to Create the Image.

Everything used in the scene was purchased here at DAZ3D

Figure used for Monster: dialed up half Undead Fiend and added some Genesis Creature Morphs, then applied a Lizardaians M4 texture that I colored red in Photoshop.
Figure used for Egyptian: Jess for V4 GenX to Genesis

    Image Title: Apophis (Apep)

Software Used to Create Image: DAZ Studio 4.6.0.18 Pro Edition (64-bit) used the DS built in render engine. Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 to adjust brightness, contrast, sharpness, add border, and apply Magic Effects Brushes.

Apophis (Apep) is an ancient Egyptian Deity. The Egyptians feared him so much they would construct a small figure in his likeness every morning; they slashed and burned the figure, even spit on. The hope was this act would keep him away. You cannot always see him but he is always here. If you manage to kill him, he will return to life the next day. When he appears showing a physical form, his enormous body is a mix of man, snake and crocodile. He was originally the Sun God until Ra dethroned him and replaced him. Because of his formal title and supreme control, he is the only Deity physically powerful enough to fight Ra. They battle daily, when the weather is bad it means Ra lost and had no control of the sun for this day.

    Additional Credits:
    Queen of the Nile Bundle
    Real Metals for DAZ Studio
    The Rocky Flats

Just for fun, here is a close up of the Egyptian.

Does the contest close at the beginning of July 1st @ 00:01 AM or at the end of the day on July 1st?

I see everyone seems to be giving this info the way you did - with numbers or descriptors followed by the info.

That's too formal for me and I included all the information in written out paragraphs.

It doesn't have to be given in any particular style, does it? It's all there, just not the same way everyone else seems to be giving it.

This is the post : http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/23081/P60/#351672 The LoveyCthulhu image.

Is that OK, or do I need to conform to the most common system of relaying the info?

Tjohn, your image is ingenious! :D RawArt, yours is very fine - but the Big Bad Wolf seems to be demanding a hug rather than being scary...
