Gauntlet Hut and their peculiar choice of merchandise are a running gag with a group of my friends. When the bracers came up, with this topic, I couldn't help but bring the Hut to life.

Loveboat Launcher
After his parole, our beloved Muck found it difficult to get a job. Perhaps he was hindered by interviewing in buccaneer garb. Or, perhaps it was just that seafaring garb that landed him the position of Loveboat Launcher down at the rural pond. With a burst of air from his compressor, he pushed the boats off the sandy beach and into the water. Unfortunately, a poorly aimed or overly powerful burst tended to tip the boats, dumping their occupants into the murky pond. Muck may be searching for a new job soon...
...just took a look through the Entries Only thread. Lots of goofy stuff (crikey, judging the "Funny" category's going to be a real pain in the bum this go-around).
Especially love the Roadpainter's Paintbrush, Unusual Pet Therapist,, Rodent Real Estate Agent, and Loveboat Launcher.

Luci45 #4: I know what you mean. I hardly ever use pre-assembled light sets any more, simply because it's always a guessing game to figure out just what the makers did and why they did it.
Luci #4 - Fantastic idea, great render, so well executed (or was that excavated), and Yes- soon we need to add another rule as we have a Poser/Carrara/DS rule that if you pull an item only usable in another program than the one you wanna use you can repull. Might add that for IRay as well, or 3DL, if you decide to use one render engine and pulls cameras or shaders for the other, but not this round :P

Every year or so Lee Le Frisseur arrived with his mobile salon at the space station to ply his trade.

Yeah, instancing helped a lot there. As did the fact that the Baking Set has a pre-loaded sheet of doughnuts; otherwise I think that would have been a monotonous task even with instancing! Within each case, I used instancing for the trays and for the glass panes in front; the cases themselves are just simple bookshelves. Since you apparently can't nest instancing (i.e., an instance apparently can't have children that are instances of something), I saved the bookshelf-with-doughnuts as a scene subset and loaded it multiple times.
I love the expressions in your hair-dresser image. I don't think Lee's going to have a long stay at the station...
