Anyone know if various plants in the above products are movable or removable as separate models? Or maybe made invisible, easily?

    Thanks.

Possibly I could add alpha transparency to one or more of various plant materials and that would make it invisible.

It would be easier to use a different set.

  • Ouch.  I'm glad I read this before I checked out!  Thank to the OP and everyone!

Oh I hemmed and hawed about buying those ... so like okay, I bought them.

My Little Place is definitely "one prop piece" however, if you are somewhat adept with using Hexagon, you can toss it over the bridge. Select various Shading Domains, copy/delete/paste to group them. Then "hide all except one" and send that one back over the bridge to DS and save it as a prop file. In Hexagon do NOT remove any materials or they will be removed from the entire set. And sadly D/S 4.12 seems to have a material bug, there should be nothing on the materials list that is not actually also on the illustrated Tools page, so we have no way to remove the excess ones. Any that show up [there's always one] with a zero value, one can right-click on the Tools Panel listing and delete it. Alternatively one can spend some time and after getting the mass of props "done" ... export them over to a fresh Hexagon and one by one remove all those mats, then send it back into D/S and resave the things.

In case anybody is actually doing all this: to fix the mats, load the original prop, save the "one" mat zone, apply it to the new prop, clean up that prop [if can] and then resave the prop. btw - there's a nice tree under there for fall/winter scenes too. [haven't fix the mat on that one yet].

In groups. You can make all grass clumps invisible, or all ferns, flowers, etc.
There are two sets of tree trunk/leaves in Magical that you can hide.
Or geometry editor for individual items.

Thanks for the tips. I did buy the two products, so I will definitely try some stuff out when I get a chance. :)
