You should package and sell your eye shader set up. I have that thought every time I see one of your renders.

Basically and eyes and hair study, I'm still not quite as good with strand hair in daz as blender (not having to convert to a mesh and a dedicted hair shader are a big part) I will give Iray credit though, it took up surprisingly little space on my tiny gpu, I definitely could've spared some more polygons.

Full view to appreciate all those hair strands and eyes

Just playing around with an old scene file and going back to G2F for this one, but with G3F textures thanks to Cayman Studios. the morph is a mix of them thanks to GenX, but about 50% giselle

  • I love Cupid!  Like the mix of Damen/Elijah as well- well done on all three!

@DarwinsMishap  Hmm, feels like I'm being followed.  ;)  Thanks.  I had fun with Cupid!  I had fun mixing Damen and Elijah, too.  There's just something about Damen's morphs that I just love!  I really like the changes his morph made in Elijah.

  • Nah, just trolling the forums as I wait for test renders. lol  I'm glad you like him.

With the great deals on older stuff last week, I picked up a lot of Generation 4 assets.

This is Girl4 and Girl7 with Anagenessis 2 applied (Girl4 applied with no modification, using the Genesis1 setting). Pleasantly surprised to see how well some of the generation 4 and 7 stuff works together, looking forward to the March Madness I keep hearing about and maybe I'll pick up Wear them all for G3M and G3F and some more legacy stuff :)

(yes, Girl7 is sort-of wearing Girl4's hair, didn't know that would work either lol )

  • @Brugan  I love your Girl 4/7 image!  Nice.  Yeah, you can't count out those older products.  New users adding new toys and you can have a whole new fresh look at the Gen 4 stuff.  I love picking up the older products.  I love your avatar, btw!  Very cute and quirky.  :)

As I'm learning the software I run across wierd things and sometimes I go ahead and hit render if they look interesting. I don't know what I did below to accidentally remove the shaders on this character, but it looked cool with the lighting so I smooshed the two together and rendered it :)

Working with Substance Painter 2; once I figured out where the options were to bake curvature/AO maps (oooh, there they are), applying 'edge worn' presets is trivially easy.

Reskinning this walking tank took very little time. Most of the time spent was just grouping up the surfaces and exporting it (to make life easier) and then posing.
