The same vendors already has sets for V4 and G2F UVs at Rendo. V5 is the third one they made for G3F.
Those packs are not only alternate UVs like we had for Genesis or Genesis 2.
The main problem to use older textures on Genesis 3 is that you don't have the same number of texture files and the material zones are different enough that you'd end up using part of different textures on the same material zone, and G3 doesn't have polygons where you'd need to put a material border for the "texture change" so just changing the material zones doesn't work either.
These packs include a set of geografts which add the polygons and material zones needed, and UVs for the figure using the geografts.
And no, the V5 UVs won't work with V4 skins. Genesis included V4 UVs and could use V4 textures, but V4 and V5 UVs are different. To use V4 skins you need the pack sold at Rendo.
Looks like I've got them all - the very few that were left are ones I don't want. LOL
Doesn't matter tho - I picked up the Mill Puppy Bundle (which I've wanted for AGES) and some pose packs for dinosaurs plus the new item I got was an old V4 top by Karth that I can autofit to Gen3F (45 cents!!!) so it'll be useful. Spent about $6.40 heh heh
Whew! That 90% sale is doing me in! If you buy two new releases from yesterday, the $10 off kicks in too. Most of the 90% off stuff are DAZ originals, not PC's, so it works. Saved a ton but spent a ton! Love the sales but need a second job to afford them lol.

Yeah, some of the bundles in there got pretty big... and with most everything coming at about 5-10 percent of cost... I had a really full basket. Sadly, most of it was not from my wishlist.

One Question: does anyone remember if the 25% off Lee for Buying Mei Lin Pro only applied on the Pro bundle? I don't Get it for Lee solo. I'm only interested in the 2 extra characters and one Hair but with out a extra rebate on lee solo those 4 Items are a bit more expensive than the properly discounted Lee Pro Pack...

The 25% apply only to the Lee 7 Pro bundle. It's not in the email, but I remember because I translated it for the German language sale, and there's a note for it in the thread.

But you know... when I thought about the 25% off, I realized that DAZ has this the wrong way around. They should offer the male character first, with promise of 25% off the female character which will appear two weeks later. That would probably sell them a lot more male characters than the way it is set up now.
That would make a huge amount of sense.
You're assuming that those that currently are not buying male characters like Michael and Lee are going to suddenly buy something they don't have any interest in.
I'd thought this too - currently I have no interest in Female bundles so I never get these discounts on the next Male
that I could use, but people who care about getting a discount on the next Female might buy the Male to get it. No benefit to me of course as I'm not likely to buy her...
From what I've read in the forums there seem to be are quite a few people who obviously think they have to take advantage of every special offer even if that means spending more money to trigger the additionnal discount and/or buying items they're not really interested in. So that strategy might at least work on them...
I'm assuming Daz's sale strategy is mostly built around "buy random new item so that you can get a discount on thing you really want" and that demand for females is higher than males. Almost all of their sales appear with no warning for very short periods of time to snag as many impulse sales as possible.
As Leana said, the forums are full of anecdotes that this strategy works on me.
DAZ has long followed the sales and marketing strategies of two iconic americans. King Gillette (give away the razor, sell the blades) and P.T.Barnum.
This 70% (if you buy four and own Lee 7) on selected ressources is very nice (or very bad in a diffrent point of view)
Today is a pass for me.
The High Discount categories had nothing of interest for me.
The Motion Blur tool looks nice (cool music in the demo video) and I belive a lot of people waited for that.
Also the Jade Tiger Hair is cool.
But both nothing I need right now so they went to the wishlist...
Boaris is pretty cool, but I have no use for him...
BTW the Lagoona Lights currently in Fast Grab stack with yesterdays 40-70% Ressource sale that is still active today
lol... yep. Not so good from my point of view. I had $50 tucked away in my paypal account. Managed not to touch it throughout March Madness... and cleaned it out when Olympia showed up at 60% off. Olympia and few other great deals left me with 39¢ in my paypal account. So of course, Lee was released the following day. Now all these great "Buy/Own Lee" deals show up and my wallet is laughing at me... From a safe distance, of course, somewhere on the other end of the house.
Yes, one consolation is I really didn't see anything I wanted in today's new releases, though I did play around with the cart, adding Lee, 4 items from the list for 70% off, two which were also part of the "Pushing..." promotion, and one was the Laguna: Underwater Lights for Iray in Fast Grab. The prices were insane. Laguna: Underwater Lights for Iray was only $2.25... but I couldn't bring myself to spend over $50 when I'd have to dip into funds earmarked for such "important" things as property tax and homeowners insurance.
And Laguna: Underwater Lights for Iray disappeared when DAZ put up a bunch of new stuff, including a lot of Pro bundles.
Two items they left in Fast Grab, however, are the Anderson Hall and Anderson Hall Vestibule by Jack Tomalin. He just released the Iray add-on for Anderson Hall, and he's got the Iray add-on for Anderson Hall Vestibule in the works. If you're interested, I doubt you'll ever see these two items this low again.
I got the Anderson Stuff allready yesterday.
Regarding the Pro Bundles. If there is no Stacking Deal I have not yet seen, this is not a top offer (40 $ something). All of them could have been had cheaper at least twice in the last couple of weeks (At least for 36$ something and the older ones for 28$ Something, Got Gianni 6 Pro for this to get the last missing "Element").
Interesting stuff tody, but the sale offers are not so inviting.
So I wishlisted The Atrium, Zev0's Bend Control, Viola and The Lightprobe (maybe picking this up in the next days since it is priced ok and looks pretty useful)
BTW is it possible, that the Shana's Cheongsam Texturepack is for an outfit that is not released yet. Could not find it, neither here nor on Rendo...

The extra 20% from yesterdays "pushing the bounds" does no longer work.
Even the 30% off new releases also seems broken.

Small Hint: The now free Light Probe works as 1 of 1-4 New Items in the todays sale.
Since my Store credit is well filled I pass anyway and replace now the Lightprobe with the Added Cheogsam..
Confirmed. That replaced Viola in my cart. I was struggling to convince myself for another standard G3F. Bend control and those che-gasms @ ~41% off on day 1 = Instant checkout.
Anyone know how this 75% is calculated? I'm not seeing anything like that. (It's in today's Newsletter)
