Is there a DAZ to Blender plugin for the Daz Studio 2025 ALPHA - version 6.25.2025.19807? Or a workaround for the new DAZ to blender plugin for the Alpha version? Thanks.
We are still in the alpha phase, so very much still in flux.
I wouldn't expect anything to be done with addons and plugins until we reach at least beta.
Some PA's might even wait to update their products until there is a release candidate.
This is pretty typical for software development.
No point in making updates to addons or plugins if Studio might change again, maybe even several times, before release.
Might as well just wait to do any coding for them because the alpha will cease to exist, or at least become completely irrelevant, once we hit beta.
I don’t think there's an alpha version of the new SDK available for now anyway.
With the 6.25.2025.19807 update, I noticed a big improvement in the viewport movement. A scene that was working perfectly in Daz 4.25 up until now it was very laggy in Daz 2025, but with this new update the movement in viewport has improved. It's still not as fast as Daz 4.25, but it's way better. One thing that is still annoying is the movement with the WASD keys. It doesn't move continuously and the hover highlight has a little bit of delay. The viewport in iray mode is still very slow.
I'm testing it on a i9 14900k, 2x5090 and 128GB ram.
People testing this usually just try panning and zooming viewport. That has improved considerably. What is still slow is moving a character around the scene -- it lags really bad.
@Richard Are there any plans to make that dreadful Preview Lights option remember its state across Daz Studio launches? I want to disable it and for it to stay disabled so badly -- it is never useful for me as I am only interested in lights in Iray preview mode, not while using viewport to make a scene. I am sure there are others like me out there.
Isn't it off by default? If you mean the headlamp, DS does remember the last state - but if that gets chnaged to on by a scene file then that is what it will remember.

No, the chnage log shows it is being worked on - but it also shows that there are changes being made to methods/functions (I am not sure how many of those are script-only and how many would affect the SDK too - if it says expose that is more likely to be about scripting, giving access to soemthing that is in the current internals already).

Preview Lights is still On by default in DS 6 Alpha... I ever gave a way to disable it on launch ~

I just downloaded Alpha build to try out rendering with 50 series card, but I find out that WASD movement is not working properly
when I hold the key, camera is not moving, but if I single click the key it will move little bit
Also I tried to use tool setting for scene navigator, if I click move control once I can hold WASD and it moves smoothly, but as soon as I drag camera with my mouse it move back to single click move again
Is this a bug or am I missing something, thanks
I'm experiencing the same problem. I'm surprised more users aren't commenting on this as not being able to use WASD to move quickly around the viewport makes this version of Daz unusable for me.

I have had that issue as well, although I can get it to "reset" by clicking in the scene tab to deselect everything. As soon as I select something, it stops working again.
Also, I've had issues with the undo function. Most recently I could only undo the first four things I did in a new scene. I added a structure and changed the materials on two parts of it. I then deleted it. I performed an 'undo' on the delete (bringing the structure back) then added a figure, moved it around and applied a preset pose. I then attempted to undo the pose, but could only undo the materials I loaded on the structure. I could use the redo function to delete the structure again. But it was like the system didn't recognize any of the actions after the delete.
just updated to 6.25.2025.21308 on a macbook pro m4. Getting "Daz Studio requires at least OpenGL version 4.3. So can no longer start up. Tried restart. Uh, I think macs have requirements for Metal not OpenGl.
Downloaded and see that the ASDF is now fixed ( it stutters a bit, but it does work), but it still does not allow for importing Actions or Menus from Daz 4.xx importing layout works but without actions menus and toolbars cannot work-- this fundamentally makes it untestable for me to give it a a proper workout and test features. Most of us have spent years setting up our Daz environment for our workflows. I think that if you implement these features first, it would give us a like-for-like environment, making it easier to try things in 2025, just as we do in 2024. This may increase the number of testers and certainly makes the testing more real-world.

Have you tried manually copying the files from %AppData%\DAZ 3D\Studio4\user layouts?
Copy UI from Channel can be easily modified to accomplish this - i.e., change aVersion[ 0 ] to 4 on line 114. Run the script in 6.x, it'll look in 4.x folders

SSSE3 enabled CPU is a minimum requirement on macOS/x8I
I am on a MacMini Pro M4 and have no idea what "SSSE3 enabled CPU is a minimum requirement on macOS/x8I" means in context to my system. Remember please I am computer illiterate to a large degree.
Also, how to I revert back to the previous version of the Alpha? Or was this update an unintended issue?
Mary
Edit to add: I have not updated my Windows 11 system with RTX 4080 drivers. Should I assume it would also be unable to use the ALPHA if I updated it?

I was very busy yesterday and the update came late so I didnt catch this and could report it (didnt grab the new release until this morning European time) but it is 100% unintentional and something probably broke during build.
So I guess an update will come as soon as the issue have been pinpointed and fixed.
Thanks Totte. I will hold on all actions on both computers then. And yes, you and the other moderators and PAs are allowed and expected to take time to rest and live your lives, just like we do.

Which drivers do you have installed on Win 11?
Studio Drivers v577.00 which were released on 22 July 2025.
I make a habit of checking both Windows and Nvidia for possible updates when I open the computer to work and later on during the day as well. I hate being in the middle of a job and being told the system is going to reboot in X amount of time.

No, I don't mean the headlamp but Window > Preview Lights (Ctrl+L) -- damn thing is always on when you launch Daz Studio.
Ah - found a bug: when rendering animations in DAZ 2025 (6.25) (I just updated now to latest version) the rendeing time limit (i.e. 120 sec) is not used as filter. Each frame renders as 100% - it takes soooooo long else all is great

Sorry, yes - I was getting cinfused by everyone who thinks they are turning on a Preview Light.
