...well bugger,it's been a while. A change of residence, a change of...well best not go into that here.., and a hard drive meltdown later I think I can I'm about ready to give this another crack.

Crikey My content library's grown a bit since I last did an RRRR piece, so I need to make an all new spreadsheet, but that even sort of fits in with the theme.

    ...thank you.

Those long render times that kept plaguing me (and pushing the deadline limits sometimes) are pretty much a thing of the past now

..OK built and editing the list (still haven't added any of the Rendo content).  Weeded out utilities (like tutorials and lessons), software, PC+ sale bundles, basic morphs (like the base Genesis Body & Head morphs), & such, but wondering about a few other items like shaders, poses, and textures as those may be hard to discern in a scene.

    Thoughts?

Textures should be there but shaders can be more difficult...

...I can see the point about textures as they generally need the base content (which means the specific hair, clothing, prop content needs to be used as well).

Yeah can see the point of about shaders unless applied in an unusual fashion (like a G3 character made out of wax or a fountain that spews whisky). I feel poses can be tricky as well as some are fairly subtle but for now leaving them in.

    The Tomb of Tuttan Conan

Professor Gottlieb Krautfleden has build an underground crypt which he claims holds the last resting place of the unknown Egyptian Warrior Pharaoh Tuttan Conan. Using high tech mind influencing equipment he makes visitors experience spiritual contact, and they then spread the word that this is the real thing. It goes well now, money is rolling in.

So, made a pull, now trying to figure out what to replace whith whom, I guess " Dream Home: The Study" goes, but who to put here? Thinking of the notorious RRRR offender Tom, just gonna roam the old threads for a bit to see if I find someone else that is funnier? Maybe the first woman in space, remember the old lady (forgot her name) who ejected herself with a catapult? Hmm, so many choices....

@Totte #3  academics are in endless need of funding... whether crowd funding or institutional.  And he has hit on the formula of hypno reversion therapy... You too can be an egyptian pharoah for a day.  Not surprised that it is such a money maker.... well done!

Good to see Professor Krautfleden again. And now I know a very good use for Vintage Tech Equipment. wink

Thanks for your comments Gopherus and Luci.
@Luci45: Another great one, and such nice ladies of the Harpywood.

  • GopherusGopherus Posts: 1,103

@luci45 #5  Well there goes the excuse of homo erectus that she has nothing to wear to attend the harpywood socials.... i wonder how appealing the nice birght colors will be to the sabertooth tigers?  Nice one!!

  • luci45luci45 Posts: 2,659

Thanks, Totte and Gopherus. Gopherus, the colorful dress did not appeal to the sabertooth tigers, but Ouralaspacania acquired a large following of curious herbivores when wearing the dress.

    Pull #6
    Sean for David 5
    A Curious Tea: Drink Me
    Beach Volleyball Set
Kung Fu Hair for Genesis 2 Male(s)
Rubble for Everyone Vol I (LB)
    Blue Footed Booby (LB)

I don't know what I will replace yet. Too many choices. going back to 2011. Yikes. Maybe it's time for the Walbusters to come back, or Mr Poofy-Pants.

..OK got it all sorted out, even randomised the list so that it didn't go from new to old or was in alpha sequence to get a better mix.  Used the random integer generator to generate 4 numbers at once. and here is pull #1:

335 Rustic Looks for Trinity Atrium
    783 Lisa's Botanicals - Palm Trees
    1576 Palace of Leaves
    1912 Wash Down

SInce I'm sort of starting anew at this again and only have 4 items (as well as had a drive meltdown take all of my former RRRR scenes with it) no substitutions to be made.

Twist 1 still applies if you ever has been in the RRRR and you have ;-)

..yeah , though I like pull. Already is giving me ideas for a theme.

After losing everything in the HDD crash I'd have to totally recreate whatever I used in older entries from scratch anyway (and I most certainly don't wish to try rebuild something like the setting for The Restaurant at the End of the Universe or Such a Horrid Clang all over again, those involved a tonne of kitbashing).

  • TotteTotte Posts: 13,508

Its a character, not a setting, so just one person from a previous one

  • kyoto kidkyoto kid Posts: 40,569

..even that was pretty much "kitbashed" in a number of my works.

It would be difficult to recreate a character from three or four or more years ago without knowing the morphs or textures used. Clothes should be easier. How about a rough approximation in this case?

    Dark Trees Pack 1 Ivy
Mini Haven Interior Vignette  Replaced with  Evangeline "Bo Peep"
    3d Universe Toon Turkey

Call Them Sweetly and They Might Come Back

Evangeline was invited to spend the holidays with Hansel and Gretl.  But the thanksgiving turkeys overheard them talking and went on the lamb.  Now Evangeline is trying to lure them back into the house for an all vegetarian feast....  "Gobble, gobble, little turkeys.  There is nothing to be frightened of.  We have built a huge feast with some corn and potatos and plenty of salad just for you...."

@Gopherus: heh - Poor Hansel & Gretl!. Reminds me of a Christmas song, Swedish, from mid 80s, done by two commedians. about the escaping Christmas ham.
