Content DB Editor Question: "Purge Unlisted Categories from Local Asset Definitions" (Possible Bug?)
Is there a setting (or tweak) that would set the "Purge Unlisted Categories from Local Asset Definitions" to always checked? I heavily modify all the metadata for the items I purchase. In the earlier versions of Daz Studio, it would remove from the metadata the categories you deleted in the Content DB Editor once saved--but for some reason, even when I delete a category and accept, it continues to keep it in the metadata unless I remember to check the "Purge Unlisted Categories from Local Asset Definitions" box.
For instance, say one of the items under the categories is listed as: /Default/Presets/Materials. I delete that category in the Content DB Editor screen for that item, and instead, put in the category: /Default/Materials. I "accept" (save) the change. Instead of deleting the category, /Default/Presets/Materials from the metadata, it just adds the category /Default/Materials to it, so now the item shows in two places when I only wanted it to show in the /Default/Materials. The only way to get the deletion to stick, is to make sure that "Purge Unlisted Categories from Local Asset Definitions" is checked when I accept the changes--then only my new category is in the metadata.
Really annoying--why have the delete option if it won't stick when saving the metadata--or is this a bug???
Using Daz Studio Pro 4.6.1.17, 64 Bit. Windows 7 Ultimate, 64Bit. Daz Studio Public Beta 4.6.2.23.

I've never noticed a “Purge Unlisted Categories from Local Asset Definitions” option. Where is it located?
It is near the bottom of the screen, right above the export and question button. [see image/attachment]
I always have the sync option at the top of that page checked. Maybe that would solve your problem. It seems to stay checked.
