Genesis TreadZ - feedback requested

Almost done with the TreadZ conversion to Genesis. Lots of new morphs and geometry. This presents a problem in how best to make material presets as there are a lot more combinations possible. So I came up the following work flow.

Step 1 - apply a preset to ALL the materials.
Step 2 - apply a preset to HIDE materials not needed.
Step 3 - apply a shape preset.

So for the attached work boots example

Step 1 - apply brown texture preset to all.
Step 2 - apply preset to hide hide straps and upper.
Step 3 - apply preset to give work boot shape.

Question is how does this sound? Any issues you can see?

Thanks,
Phillip

by the looks of them, the heels can be morphed into a "no-heel" (as in, low and chunky) and a higher heel?
WHEN are these getting released?? they're freakin' brilliant!!!!!!

Yep added new high heel/sole morphs plus new geometry and material zones to make them more versatile. Really happy with how the high heel morphs came out. Should be out sometime in April. Working on presets now.

    Cheers!

Playing with presets I realized I can make variations I hadn't thought of. High heel work boots for exmple. :D

    Sooo.....

Firstly, TY Phillip for giving me these wonderful shoes to work with. I've been having a ball creating lots of different options.

I've been having alot of fun with these. I'm making two texture packs for these. This is the first set, called Jammin' TreadZ. They've been made to mix/match with the Jammin JeanZ textures that have been created for the Genesis JeanZ.

I've concentrated on bright, contrasting colours.

    Enjoy!

TY, I'm glad you like it. I've done 40 base options, all of which can be mix/matched!

Quick question: Will the new Treadz support things like ridiculously thick soled shoes, a-la the rave/Shinjuku styles, or wedge-heeled styles?

    Color me curious.

Not sure exactly what you are looking for but there are a number of morphs to adjust the sole and heel. Attached are images of three of them at 100%. I also combined two of them at 300% for a really tall heel. You can also combine these with the high heel morphs for even more variation.

Hope this helps. If you are looking for something else let me know.

    Cheers!

Actually, while it doesn't give me the data I needed for that specific question, it DID answer two other questions I didn't know I had at the time, so yay! Thank you!

The sneakers in question are the type that can be found here:

    http://tinyurl.com/cgcyaoc

I've seen (and know people who own) them in taller, but for my purposes something like that is what I'm looking for.

As to the wedge heel, something like this:

    http://tinyurl.com/csz6rza

Judging from the images you've posted here, it looks like a contiguous sole/heel option isn't currently on the morph list?

Would such a thing be doable? Or even desired by more people than just my own weird self?

The Genesis TreadZ look great! I hope they will be released as a Daz 3D product like the V4 TreadZ since I am in the PC. Some of your Gen3/Gen4 TreadZ products are Daz 3D and others are your PA items.

Chronopunk, Links to what you are refering to help a lot. I had already uploaded the TreadZ for testing. However you are in luck as I have to fix a few things from testing. Those two morphs are easy enough to do so I will add when I make the QA fixes. They will probably look great with Anna's textures :D

MrPoser, Sorry these probably won't be sold to DAZ. Typically the stuff I did for DAZ was commissioned work, (like the body suits). When I took a break a while back I sold them items from my catalogue they were interested in. Hence the reason for the mixture between DAZ and PA items.

Sweet! Glad to see my madness has been of some use outside the loony bin. :D

That's okay.. I figured they would be a PA product.... I will grab them as soon as they go on sale. Hopefully M4 Treadz will go on sale too as Vicky is getting real tired of Mike borrowing her Treadz boots.

Well, planned on just making a couple more. Ended up doing about a dozen additional heel/sole morphs. Once I get going it can be hard to stop ;)

Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions!

    Cheers!
