Please FIX Artist filter for current sales (DAZ Originals bug)

Hi all,

When I apply the Artist filter to show only Daz Originals within some of the current deals, it in fact hides many items with the DAZ Originals logo as well. In the case with Friends of the Sales, DAZ Originals doesn't even show up as an option even when there are hundreds of items with the DAZ Orignals logo.

I know I'm posting this minutes before the current sale ends, but used it as a heads up for the next one and make sure this error gets fixed.

I thought there was an old thread for this, but I can't find it now. But I'm super excited that I saw a DAZ set used out in the wild, and in a big way!

Watching Supergirl, season 3 episode 20. At 8:10 in there's a shot of a city, and it's... at least half made up of Stonemason's Utopia Cityscape Blocks! I recognized the building in front, looked it up, and started matching other buildings.

I remember there being a lot of DAZ assets used in early seasons of RWBY, but that's flash animation so I wasn't so surprised. But this... And it looks really good, too.

Anyone spotted other DAZ assets recently?

https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-longflip-hair-for-genesis-8-females I bought this hair on September 19th, but it only seems to appear in the smooth or texture shader, not the Filament PBR or (importantly) the Iray shader. What should I do about this? Is there a way to fix it?

the new "search tool" is buggy!!

it's only me or the new "search tool of the forum is very "bugged"??? i means sometimes i put some words to search because i was looking for a specific product but don't remember the full name then the tool give me a lot of stuff but many times not what i want and many times things which have nothing to do with what i wanted like for exemple i place "skin" then it's come materials for cloths, bricks and many things which have nothing to do with it or when i'm trying to "apply some specific stuffs like category, or artists or figures or those more specific stuffs it remove "more than what was supposed to be" like when i place to look for peoples or wearables, it remove a lot of "characters or outfits or when i'm looking for only g8 it also remove "some g8 stuffs, many times the tool feel a lot buggy and messed, i remember never having any issue with the old tool about "wrong removing stuff and others stuffs but the current one sometimes i do feel troubled a lot when trying to find some products due to how it's currently working.

it's only me having this issue with the search tool?.

Just a big thank you for 2 new hair styles that feature moderate widow's peaks.. These are nice because they don't have the "villain/villainess" nuance. These are Rialto by Neftis3D and Curly Swept Style by outoftouch I think introduced today (Friday 15 Oct).

Shaping preset vs Morph

I do a lot of art with original characters in Daz, often to the point where I need specific looks for them.

Or something I need is not something that is present in Daz and I have to make it by 'hand.'

But a thought popped up in my head, which is better, a morph or a shaping preset?

A morph is easy to apply to the character and can be shared easily. But a shaping preset benefits from all the unique shape settings.

Thoughts?

I'm sure I once saw a knock-off "Jabba the Hutt" type character in the shop, but I can't find it. (I'm not talking about "Sluggo for Bullwarg" - it was an actual Hutt model, albeit cartoony-looking and with a copyright-friendly name). Does anyone know the model I mean, and does it still exist?

Alienware Aurora R12 Heat Issues?

I finally decided to upgrade to a 3090 via an Alienware Aurora R12. After I ordered it, I found lots of articles about people having major heat issues with this prebuilt. Wish I saw this YouTube video before I bought it...the R12 is essentially a metal box within a plastic shell with only a couple of vents...a terrible design. Hopefullysomeone in this community can give honest insight. I saw where Dell recommended throttling back, which makes me wonder...if you throttle back a 3090+64GB+1000 Watt system, why buy it in the first place? I may cancel this order before they build it depending on advice given here. Thanks

But even after doing that, I still had a "Lost and Found" entry that I just couldn't get to clear. I then read through the product file list and ...

There's an entry in the file listing for a Lost and Found item!

In the description for the X-Fashion Scarecrow Costume it says that it includes 2 LIE Makeup Files and it also shows them in the promo images. Can anyone tell me where to find these files? I have looked everywhere and can't seem to locate them.

Unable to change Hair color to a preset in the content library

I hope someone has a solution to this because I am stymied. I have Virtual World's "My Messy Hair for G8F". Seems to load up fine and I can use the styles presets in the content library, but when I click on any of the 22 hair color presets I get the message " File could not be found : data/virtual_world/my messy hair/vw messy hair/uv sets/virtual_world/base/default.dsf" and that there was an error reading the file. I checked the files location and there are not 22 material presets, only four showing. I'd appreciate any help. Thank you!

2022 Nvidia 3070ti vs 2080ti

The 2022 Nvidia 3070ti is rumored to have 16 GB VRAM. I had a 2080ti with 11 GB VRAM until it died recently. Can anyone explain in Daz terms how much more that 5 GB translates into, like three more Genesis 8.1 characters? I wish I could imagine 5 GB VRAM in some understandable measure like that.

No mentioning of required products. I had to read the fine print. Details mentioned that it was for V3. Fine, I have this figure.
What's included and features .... mentioned that it was just a texture for the morphing cocktail dress. Which is nowhere in this store.

So, totally useless for me.
But what disturbs me, even more, is the fact, that DAZ ignored mentioning any required products. And this is by far not the only one I encountered this "feature".
That is very bad customer service.
And it is annoying as hell.

Hi! I am currently working on an adult visual novel while learning the ropes with DAZ. I feel pretty comfortable in rendering still images, but animation seems really complex for me at this juncture. I am posting this on here in hopes that someone with more experience using DAZ animation would be interested in being hired to produce roughly 10 3-4 second nsfw animations. I know that DAZ is not the ideal platform for animating, but it is the one I am using, and so if anyone who is good at doing animations in DAZ is interested, I am eager to work with you! This would be a well paid gig. I would provide all relevant models in DAZ.

Before anyone says to submit a ticket, I already tried to do that three times without success.

So, I purchased Smay's "Mr. Hyde for Genesis" when it first appeared in the Store years ago.

Now it no longer appears in my Product Library, which I discovered when I saw it on sale for $1.99.

Can someone please fix this?

I watched all the episodes of Star Wars Visions and I have to say Episode 8 featuring Lop & Ocho was the best of the them all! So I planning to make a similar figure like Lop but I don't think I don't have the right stuff to make her look like the one from the episode. When can we have a real, working search function in the forum. A function where you can sear for:
* Phrases
* Exact words
* Exclusions (Sword NOT katana)
* Wildcards (car* gives you all words starting with 'car' *sword gives you all words ending in sword)
* Periods (from - tom date)
* Sub catalogues (Like search just in Bolts and Nuts)

et cetera.
We used to have that earlier, why was it removed??
