Pending Authorization For Over A Week

Last week I purchaed the Renianssance Outfit for Genesis using PayPal. The transaction when through as usual, but I could not download my purchase. Since then the download has been locked with a notification that it's "pending authorization". All the web links for help and to contact Daz did not work. Finally in the forum email addresses were provided and I emailed about the issue with an order number and other information two days ago. No one has responded to my email and I still can't download my outfit. Can someone please unlock my download, it's only a $1.00 item and it has been paid for.

cart order paypal installers working ?

Is the cart-order system working properly with paypal ? I would like to get the supersuit, but if I'm going to spend that much money I want it as instant download. I've been reading there's a lot of fuss with cart pricing, ordering, installers, paypal and whatnot. Has all this been solved ?

How do I find out how much this coupon is for? How do I apply it to online purchases in your store?

So what is it actually, what can it do, and where do you get it? Is it a DS plugin or a standalone program., independent of DS?

I've found, quite by accident when reading the forums, that one of the products I've purchased in the past has been updated. I was under the impression that I would receive some sort of notification whenever a product I had purchased in the past has been updated... Am I wrong in this belief?

Daz Studio has some AMAZING plugins (looking at you, mimic live), so I was wondering if there was a plugin that could create a facial morph from a picture? So you could easily make a model of a friend, or a favorite TV character, etc?

I've worked with some facial recognition software, so I know that it's possible. I was just wondering if anyone had done it. If they haven't anyone who does will make a lot of money.

Do we really have to have tabs for the Description, Additional Information and What's Included & Features parts of the product pages? Couldn't there at least be an option to have all parts just simply displayed one after another as previously?

I really hate sites that make me go through tabs to read all the things on a page, and generally stop using them. The old layout, where you could tick remembered preferences to just always expand all sections, was ideal for me - i could just scroll down to read all the info i wanted, where simply scrolling up/down doesn't cause me too much pain. Having to stear the pointer round between tabs to click on and scrolling too causes me a lot more pain and discomfort.

This has been a really depressing 12 months for me, with site after site I've used for years - often over a decade - going to new versions where 'new' means losing directness and simplicity, and replacing that with jazzy complications that simply make them more complex and fiddly to use, at the cost of considerable more pain for me. I have enough permanent pain anyway, without putting up with getting more of it from the browsing I'm doing trying to take my mind off pain, not reap more. Some of the changes to the DAZ site are even worse than the ones at the TV schedule site I used for 12 years previously but have now abandoned after their 'upgraded' new site last December.

Finally the baby is born. My best wishes.

Having been without these great forums for a week has shown me its real importance. So many pieces of wisdom everywhere, so many great people making them. I hope searching them will be effective now. ;-P

I am relearning D|Studio, which I left in v2 after trying all the betas. I want to thank you too for such an incredible program as DS4pro and the fact you gave it free to many, to me.

Daz Store Double Billing at incorrect Prices

I was looking into purchasing the Super Suit Pro bundle and I noticed a lot of strangeness to its pricing. It seems to be different on every page I look at. On the new items page, it is showing $89.96. On the product page, it is showing $48.98. Great! So I put it in my cart... and it is suddenly... $62.97... Grrrrr.... what is the price supposed to be? The $62.97 price is the price it goes to at checkput, but according to the advert email it is supposed to be less than that. This is very frustrating.

Can someone please get this issue resolved?

This order was placed about a week ago - I still cannot download my products.

It needs to be processed, yet the money is gone from my account.

I have contacted DAZ through 2 different emails, 1 gave me a response that "it was being worked on" that was several days ago.

I have contacted DAZ through Facebook several times. I have tried to call several times.

Forgive me if I am posting in the wrong place but I don't know where else to post as it doesn't seem like this issue is being resolved and I need to download the files - they are still pending.

I know daz is redoing its store, forums, and everything in between and I know everyone is busy but please look at my order.

Just to let you know there are inconsistences on the pricing

Renaissance store price is 1.00 , but when added to the cart or in the product page is 19.95
Aircraft condor, store price 1.99 , product page and in cart 16.95

Bug Reports for new store- pricing

I'm sorry if this is the incorrect place to put this. I wanted to file a help ticket, but I kept getting 404 not found errors. =(

Anyway, I wanted to report a few apparent bugs with the store, mostly with pricing.

Before I logged in, I saw several items priced at $1.00 (The Renaissance Male Clothing for Genesis, R and R time, Sixties Dinette set, and Aiden for M5. There was also a $0.00 item listed, which was the ultralight. Note that all this was before logging in.

After logging in, and sorting the products in the 'New Releases' category by 'lowest price first', the prices on some of the items changed to regular price (The ultralight and the Renaissance clothes listed at full price, the others stayed at $1.00)

To make it even weirder, I logged out, logged back in again, and sorted the new releases category by release date (newest first) The Renaissance clothing was back to $1.00, and the Ultralight back at $0.00. Putting them both in my cart, they appeared at full price again.

Just wanted to report the issue. Again, I would have emailed, but the ticket page is giving me 404 errors. I have screenshots if someone in the bug fix department needs them.

Just downloaded Daz Studio. I'm giving up on Poser ever supporting genesis and I wanna play with it, so I'm learning DS.

I have a figure crouching, and I want them to stand up. How do I move the figure so that the feet stay in place?

DAZ Studio 4.5 Release Candidate Available Now

DAZ Studio 4.5 RC1!

This release candidate is available to all customers and will run either without a serial number (although you will be asked to enter one each time you run DAZ Studio), or with your current DAZ Studio serial number. Installing 4.5 will uninstall 4.0, and we recommend installing only one of either 4.0.x or 4.5.x on the same machine.

The purpose of this build is to provide early access to the new features available in DAZ Studio 4.5. This is a release candidate, which means we are looking for prompt feedback about significant issues that may still exist in this build as we approach full release. To help our test and development teams, please focus issue reports on items that are significant workflow blocks, crashes, or other major issues rather than new feature requests, UI changes, or desired workflow changes.

New in DAZ Studio 4.5:
1. Full implementation of the DSON file format. This enables full scene save in a lightweight scene file (DUF format). These scene files can be loaded and used by anyone who has installed the products used in the scene. If one or more of the products is not found upon loading the scene, a warning dialog will indicate which files are needed.
2. Selective item save/load. Save only selected items in a scene, then drop them into another scene using lightweight preset files.
3. Viewport speed dramatically increased. For many viewport interactions, speed will be 2-5x faster than DAZ Studio 4.0.
4. DSON file save includes the ability to load and use most Poser files as if they were native DSF files. DUF scenes that contain items in Poser format are also sharable (i.e. only contain references to the needed Poser files).
5. Property Settings now consolidates more information about each property into a single interface (e.g. presentation editor).
6. FBX Import FBX files can now be round-tripped through DAZ Studio, including rigged and animated items in the scene.
7. The Darkside style is now included as part of the base installation package.
8. No serial number is required to run either the 32-bit or 64-bit versions of DAZ Studio Standard
9. Shader Mixer has significantly improved workflow and documentation.
10. New "Ready to Render" scenes have been added as part of the content that installs with 4.5. Loading these is a great way to start tweaking and playing with some cool scenes.
11. A number of Lesson Strips have been added. These are quick lessons about DAZ Studio basics. There are also instruction on how to create your own Lesson Strips on the DAZ Documentation Center.

Along with all the new things in DAZ Studio 4.5, you will also find new documentation on some of the deeper functionality in DAZ Studio on the DAZ Documentation Center in the Publishing and DAZ Studio sections.

If you find any serious issues please report them with as much detail as you can in the DAZ Issue Tracker

What you need to know about this build:
1. Many, many issues and workflow improvements have been addressed since we released 4.0.3. Too many to list here. Please see the DAZ Issue Tracker and the DAZ Studio 4.5 Change Log for details (this will be included in the download of the product).
2. Files saved from this version of DAZ Studio are not backward compatible with older versions, including version 4.0.x.
3. Plugins that run in version 4.0 will not run in version 4.5.
4. When installing the plugins that come with DAZ Studio, you may see warning dialogs indicating there was a problem with installation. These warnings do not affect installation, but we are addressing the warnings in a later build.
5. Not all features of FBX are supported on import, so characters from other 3D applications imported in FBX format may or may not come through with all their components.
6. All presets are saved in lightweight DUF format and scripted presets (DSA files) have been deprecated. DSA presets will still save and load, but the new preset format should be used in their place.

Carrara 8.5.0.132 Beta Now Available To Carrara 8 Customers

CARRARA 8.5.0.132 is the latest Beta Build!

If you own Carrara 8, we will add this new build to your account. You can run the production build of Carrara 8.1 side by side with this Beta build. Just don't uninstall 8.1 version when you install this beta release.

The purpose of providing this build is for you to see the progress we are making, see how Genesis looks in Carrara, see the new features we've added and provide input on the changes. You can also see the list of bug fixes below. This list identifies issues that were logged in the bug tracker and highlights many of the other fixes in this build.

New in Carrara 8.5:
1. Support for imported Genesis .dsf files (best used with DAZ Studio 4.0.3.19 or newer installed).
2. Character presets can be applied. Go to the Instance Tab, select the 2nd Genesis listed in the tree or the Actor line, and double click the character from the list. If the one of these items is not selected, an additional figure will be loaded with that character applied.
3. New Parameters Pane and user experience
4. Carrara 8.5 Parameter Pane. If you are familiar with the Parameters Tab (with the Genesis figure) in DAZ Studio 4, the equivalent to Carrara 8.5 is the Parameter Pane which is accessed by selecting the second Genesis from the list.
5. Shaping in Parameters Pane. If you are familiar with the Shaping Tab in DAZ Studio 4, the equivalent for Carrara 8.5 can be accessed by selecting the Actor line from the tree in the Instance Pane.
6. Content Management System or CMS connection to utilize the DAZ Studio database (requires DAZ Studio 4.0.3.19 or newer recommended to be installed). We are looking into a project to install the CMS for Carrara without the need of DAZ Studio. So for the Carrara customers not using DAZ Studio they can still take advantage of the new system. More information will be coming.
7. AutoFit is included in Carrara 8.5
8. Fit To (auto generates Genesis morphs) for Genesis designed clothing
9. Restore Figure tools
10. Memorize tools
11. Zero Figure tools
12. Smart Content Tab (shows all the content with meta data organized similarly to DAZ Studio's Smart Content Tab)
13. New SubD / Smoothing tool (display the smoothing slider of smoothed vertex object in the assemble room)
14. Improved Bullet Physics for soft body simulation
15. aniBlock importer has been updated and fixed for Carrara 8.5
16. Mac OSX Lion support has been implemented
17. Geo grafting has been implemented and we continue to work on this feature
18. New Light Icons to better represent the lights, the controls have also been improved.
19. DUF Files from DAZ Studio are now supported in Carrara 8.5 however, DUF material presets do not always apply textures to the selected figure.

What you need to know about this build:
Note: We continue to work on Genesis compatibility. In the coming releases we are planning on adding presets for materials, poses and UV's.
1. The new V5 products will be reset in your account to allow these items to work properly in Carrara 8.5.
2. Pz2 material Presets do work on Genesis and Triax Content, to include content that has been auto-fit to Genesis now.
3. PZ2 Poses do apply to Genesis but it is not recommended and if the pose has translations on the feet or hands those will need to be zeroed.
4. DAZ Studio 4.0.3.19 must be installed prior to running Carrara 8.5 in order to use Genesis or the Smart Content Tab.
5. If new content with meta data is installed, DAZ Studio will need to be started in order to get the smart content into the CMS database.
6. V4/M4/K4 shaders will not work on Genesis and will have to be manually built.
7. Posing Genesis must be done manually, for now there is no way to apply a pose preset to Genesis.
8. Order of morphs listed in the Carrara Parameters Tab is not consistent with the way it's displayed in DAZ Studio.
9. Our development team is working on the tools to transfer data from DAZ Studio 4 to Carrara using our new file format.
10. Included Tree presets may not look the same as they did in Carrara 7, we are looking into this currently.
11. IK is having some issues with posing the Genesis figure.
12. Mimic fixes have been implemented for Gen 4 and earlier.
13. Mimic and Mimic Pro for Genesis is fixed and will be made available to those who have purchases this.

This build will be added to your account by the DAZ 3D Customer Support Team. It will take time for all the updates to happen, so please be patient.

About Mimic Pro and this build:
If you own Mimic Pro and want to start using it with Genesis, you'll need to download a build just for Carrara 8.5.0.132. You will NOT want to use this with your 8.1 build of Carrara. It won't work with both builds. However, if you install the new version in a different location, you can continue to have both versions on your machine. The same serial number will continue to work for both builds.
