Explaining The Girl

I'm probably going to sound like a complete idiot for asking this, but can someone explain to me again why the original "The Girl", the Millennium Toon Icon by Kim Goosens, has no conversion/transfer support? I was looking through products like Gen X, TC2, and the Genesis Iconic Shapes and it reminded me of this fact. The only instance of such we have of The Girl is for her Gen 4 version.

I know it was passively explained to me before, but in all honesty I could never quite understand why Girl 3 was so unsupportable in this fashion.

DS4 weirdness and Tori

First just frustrated because after reinstalling uber lights and stuff, they still don't work in Daz 4 for me!!!

Second, Tori loads with her skin on full reflection??? 100%? SHe renders like a glass bulb! Grrrr

Third, I keep forgetting that altho pwCatch was supposedly "updated' to work in DS4 it doesn't work correctly.

Thus adds up to... I wasted all night on a render that came out all messed up.

Just another rant; just venting. Sigh.

ESPECIALLY the lights and the pwCatch.... I use pwCatch like 90% of the time in DS3 an not being able to use it in DS4 is a real killer. :(

Do you need permission to release/sell texture or morphs for Existing PA products?

Please stop logging us out. We jump from tab to tab; we're posting in the forums; we're searching for information to answer queries or find products; we're trying to shop even ... and it's very much a nuisance that we must close the browser; clear the cache; open the browser and carry on. Do you have any idea 'how many' websites we're supposed to be signed into in order to use them?!
I prefer to be logged out when I choose.

Dealing with poke through on areas without morphs?

Hi again, still very new to DAZ Studio and all the guides online all now link to deadends:(

I just created a female freak to be an ogre fighting the sub dragon (nerdglasses), but when I throw on the magus jacket, there is a little poke through in the breast area. I'd like to know how to deal with this without just shrinking the breasts to a smaller size, because, while slyph like girls are nice, sometimes you need a giant ogre woman to beat a dragon with a club. Or a dazzlingly stereotypical (as well as busty) damsel in distress.

Slightly confusing, I was working on a character and was just doing the final tweeks and noticed that the only dial I have for nipples is the diameter one. The evolution body morphs have many more, I know, I've used them! But they are gone... Is this because I'm using DS4.5?

I was just testing out some new purchases, and a handful from Christmas that got lost in the wrong folder.

First up was Chablis, who is absolutely beautiful in her own right and a purchase I'm definitely pleased with (particularly as it's nice to find a black character amongst the overwhelmingly white releases). To add to the attraction the V4 version is just as pretty. She's on sale right now at a bargain price: http://www.daz3d.com/shop/chablis-for-genesis-v4/

Next up for testing was Princess, one of the Christmas purchases that went astray (and the store search can't seem to find her at the minute, so she's really astray - but can be found here: http://www.daz3d.com/shop/princess/ again at a great price). Princess is a Thorne and Sarsa product, I like their skins, but I'm not a fan of the big-eyed look, so I normally tweak their morphs, but as I was just checking the install I simply dumped the MAT on top of Chablis, and through pure serendipity got this stunner. Given she's wearing the Aussie Girl outfit (and V5 Elite Ponytail), I've no hesitation in labelling her a right little beaut!

It's a useful reminder that textures and morphs don't have to stay in the pairings we buy them in.

So on a freelancing website, a client is asking for a photorealistic 3D render of a certain celebrity, and the pay for the gig is under $500. Is that reasonable? I'd expect that the job would be $500 at minimum!

First, I tried searching for an already existing thread for this, but couldn't find one. I haven't used DS4 in several months, so I forget this part. I'm trying to install Drakon for Genesis. I have been using DS3 since the problems I had with DS4 started (which are solved at the moment). With DS3, I installed stuff to C:/Users/my name/ Documents/Daz 3D/Studio3/content. I know that I need to install it somewhere else, but I don't know, and I don't want to create more problems for me. Please help.

What is going on with this forum and website?

Since it was all "improved" I can't see any of the buttons, they all show up only as jibberish.

And that's the intro sale price too, the regular is listed as $44.95 … I could've sworn Daz had the word "affordable" in their mission statement, so am I missing something here?! I mean this is around the price of an entire Stonemason set … for a pair of bloody SHOES. I really like them but I certainly will NOT be buying them … ever … if this price is correct.

Does the following in the End User Licensing Agreement also apply to items we purchase here from Published Artists, or is it only valid for DAZ originals?

You may: Create still images, animations, or any other rendered output in any format for any purpose. Once you've created an image or animation, you may use it however you like. This means you can sell, give away, use in projects at work, use in greeting cards, use in personal or client websites, use in illustrations, advertisements, use to create tangible replicas, etc...

The reason I'm asking is because of the following . . .

Published items, also known as "Brokered" items are products that are created by third party artists which DAZ markets, advertises, sells, and supports. The original artist retains ownership of these products

A number of customers have asked how we handle credit cards, in light of the slightly changed payment system in the new store. A general overview of how we handle credit cards in our payment engine is given here.

#1 At the point of sale, everything DAZ has implemented is a standard Magento Enterprise. We verify on name, address, Credit Card Number, Credit Card expiration and CVV2. Payment information is passed through a CISP (Cardholder Information Security Program) compliant payment gateway and approved and we receive an authentication back from them which is shown to you the customer in an approval/success message.

#2 For saved Credit Card profiles, we once again use a CISP compliant payment gateway service that handles credit card numbers. This service is not a part of our web servers nor do our web servers have access to this service in any way. The gateway service passes us a token which tells us a payment method has been approved. Credit Card numbers are never stored or accessible by any DAZ employee or website server. Also CVV2 numbers are used to approve a payment method for a subscription to verify the payment method and then not required once we verify. We do not store CVV2 numbers ever.

#3 We are required by our Credit Card Services provider to pass a regular scan and audit of all involved processes, hardware and services.

As we have stated, your Credit Card Information is kept segregated from our other systems and is not available to us.

Hopefully this helps you understand how credit cards are collected and processed.

Can we get some info displayed on products regarding the size of the files in question? This information used to be available as I recall.

Either on the product's page itself, or in the downloadable links page, or something. It'll be nice to know how big the download is before I start it, so I have an idea of when it will finish and how big it should actually be when complete.

(If it's still there, I'm not seeing it...)

I seem to get strange errors when trying to download from the store.
The download links provided, seems corrupted.

When i click the links, nothing happens.
When i use Firefox, it crashes.

When i use IE9, then i get a Save As message after 5-10 minutes saying:
Do you want to save 442faaa8889dfg8987df87g687 from www.daz.com?
And i can not save a rubbish string to anything usable...

What is going on? :)
I tried 8-9 times now... no difference.
It mess up every single time, and i can not save the products.
Am i the only one, experiencing this?

How do I 'push'poses beyond existing limits?

I have AM's Sabertooth and want to push the existing poses beyond what the dials do now. I also want the paw to be able to spread out, extend it's claws further in attach. Is it possible to do this? Is it a defomer thing or something else I need to learn?

I just downloaded DS4 Pro. not DS4.5. After it completed downloading, a window popped up saying excatley what is in the quotes in the title of this thread says. I don't know what program to use. This never happened before, even after the new changes to DAZ took effect, untill now. Please help.
