Anyway, my question is: If using the Little One characters, which I think, have a Toon appearance, what adult characters would you put with them to stay in type?

Hey everyone, I hope your New Year is going great. My situation is that I got Ring of Light for Luxus. However, it has not been rendering correctly for some reason. To go into detail, my scene uses the Trinity Atrium building. Basically, the scene is a figure surrounded by 4 walls, and the Ring of Light surrounding that. The way I understand it, RoL has 36 separate lights that all

Radiate light towards the center. I was reading a forum where the creator first introduced the RoL, and people were getting renders that lasted an hour or less. However, I let my scene render over 2 hours and it was still extremely blotchy. I suspect that this has to do with the 4 walls of the Atrium blocking the center of focus, but I'm not entirely sure. But if this is the case, should I turn down the opacity of the Atrium to let more light through? Or should I hide the walls that are not in the shot to let more light in?

OT: pfft forget it. I fixed it. LOL

Before I post this to product suggestions, I want to make sure I just didn't overlook this functionality.

What I want to do is be able to set the perspective to match any camera in the scene I pick. So, if I want to make changes, I don't want to use/move a camera. I want to match the perspective camera to the static camera so I can then tinker with the scene.

Sort of like a "fit to" for cameras.

I don't know if it's just me, but I cannot for the life of me find a way of searching the forums for topics. There is a search box but it says "Search Store" and only seems to include searches for store items. Can someone point me in the right direction, please?

Okay, I got to ask, what's the deal with some of these Genesis 3 skins with pale hand palms and blochy foot soles? Like, it's not just the base figure default skins that have them, but some characters I've have for V7, M7, TJ7 and Leo as well...

Is this a merchant resource thing or is this suppost to be anything effective to subsurfacing and rendering?

I need that little extra touch on my characters to really flesh them out. I got a good wardrobe so far but I am missing good accessories.

Would anyone have good places to suggest where I could find some nice earrings, bracelets/bangles or necklaces? I bought Chunky Hoops from Sveva elsewhere but the good/recent/DS compatible stuff seems rare. The really interesting things I see are usually Poser stuff and they are never too clear on just how compatible they are with Daz.

Any good resources out there for such things? Thanks for the help!

There are Iray mats for the gun - but I noticed that when I apply the Iray mats, some of the surfaces are NOT iray settings, they are actually the normal 3delight settings.

Also in some of the promos there is a red beam coming out of the gun - they show in the in-program icons too. Is that just a promo look or is there something that is supposed to work on the gun when using it?

How to fix texture stretching

When a character is posed with an extreme bend (in the inner thigh area) , sometimes the texture stretches and distorts. Is there an easy way to fix this or maybe a tutorial?

So, I'm new to Daz.. and I've been running around collecting all the freestuff I can get my hands on to build an arsenal of stuff to do,

The problems arise..

So everything for Daz, mostly works.. still a few hickups, I assume it's not all smart content, and some stuff is for characters I dont have..

Everything from a website other then Daz, well.. it's not going so well.. at all.

I extract everything that comes in zip files and put them into

D:\Libraries\My Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\"extracted folder name" ie, D:\Libraries\My Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\3duBeachChair

Nothing is in smart content, so I find it using the content browser.. everything is burried in deep directory structures, and I click on everything one by one till the end, and what is there, nothing.. nothing ever comes up in the preview box, no file, etc to use.

Kind of getting really fustrated and I've only just begun.

As the title says, if you have a problem, and it gets solved, PLEASE don't delete the thread/post.

Why?

Because someone ELSE might end up with the exact same problem you had, and your thread would let THEM know how to solve it. Simply deleting the post or thread out of embarassment or out of the idea that there's "no need" robs that future individual of how to solve the problem they are having.

I”m really enjoying working in Daz3d. My skills aren't great yet, but I'm getting there. Anyway, I'm interested in custom modifying or creating clothing with wording and lettering on it, like a workout shirt saying, “Get Fit,” or “Sweat,” or something like that. Is there a tutorial for doing so? I've found tutorials for making clothign for Genesis figures but I haven't seen anything for lettering the clothing.

There is a free product somewhere, I think from a japanese site maybe, but at the same time I think I saw it at Renderosity free stuff, with veins maps, something you would use to add some subskin detail. Pretty sure they were for a female character, but I can`t find it anywhere... Someone can give me a hand please?

Action Star Poses question - strange body morph?

This has been bugging me for a while - anyone who has the Action Star Poses for V7 http://www.daz3d.com/action-star-poses do you think the body morph changes when applying the poses?

Specifically pose "Action Star Relaxed".

I can't tell if it's the pose that makes the body look weird, or if there is a body MORPH change (as in, the pose was saved with body morphs included)

Attaching screen shot - the G3F on the left is in the pose, the G3F on the right has not been posed, just rotated so you can see what I'm seeing.

The breasts and the abdomen adn butt on the left figure look NOTICEABLY different.

Custom Head Morphs

Hi,

Does anyone know of an artist that does realistic custom head morphs from picture references?

I've tried to do this before, but my skills are incredibly lacking...

I'd love to get a head morph done of myself, my babe, and a few other folks...depending upon cost of course.

If not, can anyone recommend any tutorials or have any tips that I can try? I suppose it just takes a lot of practice.
