I have tried to add a GC to my cart and there is no more reduction on it (10% off if you have 5 punches) though the reduction still applies to other items in the catchup sale. I believe that it should still work since it is still among the advantages that you get when you have five punches but perhaps that it is normal? Anyway the 5% bonus reduction applies to the GC if I add new items to the cart.

Just bought a gift card, when checking out it didn't subtract the discount. When refreshing the page I could see that the total changed to the correct amount ($45) for a second, then it shifted back to $50 again. Did that several times, it continued to do the same. Then I opened the card again, and tried to check out again, this time it showed the correct amount.

So be careful, and check that the total is correct when checking out...

I gather it's fine to use purchased models in a commercial endeavor - as long as your not trying to resell the model/file itself. If this is correct, why do you need a game license to use a purchased model for a game you're making? Kinda comes down to the same thing, where the latter is simply more interactive. Are there models on DAZ that are Not for commercial use in general? I've never seen indiaction, whereas searches at Renderosity brings up tons of stuff that says not for commercial use.

Question about 16x/8x SLI and rendering/gaming

I'm considering a motherboard that has two 16x PCI video card slots, but someone commented that you need at least an Intel i7-5830K to be able to run both cards in SLI at 16x. I have two questions about this:

- Is that guy right? Can you not run two cards in SLI at 16x if you have an i7-5820K?

- Is there any real difference in rendering speed, Iray live-previewing, or gaming if one card runs at 16x and the other at 8x? I read some articles that said there is virtually no difference in gaming performance, but they were quite old and high end cards like the 980ti and the Titan were not available at the time. I have not found anything regarding this and rendering except a discussion in an Octane forum that said they didn't seem to notice much difference.

Can anyone confirm if Mimic Live works in this version of Studio and what base characters are supported?

Hey everyone, I hope your New Year is going great. My situation is that I got Ring of Light for Luxus. However, it has not been rendering correctly for some reason. To go into detail, my scene uses the Trinity Atrium building. Basically, the scene is a figure surrounded by 4 walls, and the Ring of Light surrounding that. The way I understand it, RoL has 36 separate lights that all

Radiate light towards the center. I was reading a forum where the creator first introduced the RoL, and people were getting renders that lasted an hour or less. However, I let my scene render over 2 hours and it was still extremely blotchy. I suspect that this has to do with the 4 walls of the Atrium blocking the center of focus, but I'm not entirely sure. But if this is the case, should I turn down the opacity of the Atrium to let more light through? Or should I hide the walls that are not in the shot to let more light in?

OT: pfft forget it. I fixed it. LOL

Before I post this to product suggestions, I want to make sure I just didn't overlook this functionality.

What I want to do is be able to set the perspective to match any camera in the scene I pick. So, if I want to make changes, I don't want to use/move a camera. I want to match the perspective camera to the static camera so I can then tinker with the scene.

Sort of like a "fit to" for cameras.

Okay, I got to ask, what's the deal with some of these Genesis 3 skins with pale hand palms and blochy foot soles? Like, it's not just the base figure default skins that have them, but some characters I've have for V7, M7, TJ7 and Leo as well...

I need that little extra touch on my characters to really flesh them out. I got a good wardrobe so far but I am missing good accessories.

Would anyone have good places to suggest where I could find some nice earrings, bracelets/bangles or necklaces? I bought Chunky Hoops from Sveva elsewhere but the good/recent/DS compatible stuff seems rare. The really interesting things I see are usually Poser stuff and they are never too clear on just how compatible they are with Daz.

Any good resources out there for such things? Thanks for the help!

There are Iray mats for the gun - but I noticed that when I apply the Iray mats, some of the surfaces are NOT iray settings, they are actually the normal 3delight settings.

Also in some of the promos there is a red beam coming out of the gun - they show in the in-program icons too. Is that just a promo look or is there something that is supposed to work on the gun when using it?

How to fix texture stretching

So, I'm new to Daz.. and I've been running around collecting all the freestuff I can get my hands on to build an arsenal of stuff to do,

The problems arise..

So everything for Daz, mostly works.. still a few hickups, I assume it's not all smart content, and some stuff is for characters I dont have..

Everything from a website other then Daz, well.. it's not going so well.. at all.

I extract everything that comes in zip files and put them into

D:\Libraries\My Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\"extracted folder name" ie, D:\Libraries\My Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\3duBeachChair

Nothing is in smart content, so I find it using the content browser.. everything is burried in deep directory structures, and I click on everything one by one till the end, and what is there, nothing.. nothing ever comes up in the preview box, no file, etc to use.

Kind of getting really fustrated and I've only just begun.
