      <description><![CDATA[<p>I don&#39;t think Genesis 3 Poses work on Genesis, but I seem to have had some Genesis 2 pose packs work, and others not. I&#39;m very interested in buying the Superhero Poses pack, but Genesis is still my primary figure. :( I&#39;m sad I can&#39;t seem to use so many new things for Genesis 1. Does anyone know if these particular poses will work for Genesis? (For example, an &quot;Aim &amp; Shoot&quot; pose pack I bought will not work on Genesis 1, even though they&#39;re for Genesis 2... but I have 2 other pose packs that DO work for Genesis 1, though were made for Gen 2).</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I had items worth $420 in there. I then deleted an item costing around $15 and the revised total was $427. That&#39;s right, it went up. Nearly everything in my cart came from the $1.99 bargain bin, so I&#39;m concerned that the total in the cart is so high, and wondering if its being calculated properly.</p>

<p>Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?</p>

I am at basic stage with this as I normally use poser,&nbsp;I just&nbsp;load figure add hair and clothes nothing too exciting so I can not understand why Daz is banging out on me and help would be great thanks.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently upgraded my Strata Design 3D software to version 8.1 and also picked up an integrated version of HDR Light Studio (which sits at version 4).</p>

<p>Exported Victoria 7 HD (still need to tweak multipliers to get a proper sized model). &nbsp;Had to play a bit with the materials. &nbsp;So far, focused mostly on the eyes and did apply the normal maps to the face and lips. &nbsp;&nbsp;In HDR Light Studio, I set up a primary softbox, a window and a small light to add extra specular highlights to the eyes.&nbsp;I used their Radiosity render engine to produce the final image.</p>

<p>One thing I haven&#39;t played with yet is attempting to layer the skin textures and see what may result from that. &nbsp;Going to experiment with the SSS maps primarily.</p>

<p>There are two key things I like about this renderer. &nbsp;First, is performance. &nbsp;The attached took just under 11 minutes on a 2012 3GHz 12-core Mac Pro. &nbsp;Total RAM consumption by the renderer was just under 5 GB. &nbsp; &nbsp; Second, the resultant image was rendered in 32-bits per channel&nbsp;&nbsp;and so easy to export either an OpenEXR image or 16-bit per channel PSD.</p>

<p>Has anyone had success in exporting scenes and used other software to generate renders?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am re-doing Content Library. &nbsp;My question is &nbsp;(using example&nbsp;so it&#39;s clear what I am asking)</p>

<p>Under Genesis 2&gt;Characters &nbsp;if there is VendorWhatever&gt;Character 1 &nbsp;can I move the Character 1 files to that position and remove the VendorWhatever so my character names are&nbsp;in alphabetical order? Or will that mess up other file paths? (And if yes on some, no on some, depending on how the vendor did the files- what do I look for to be able to tell?)&nbsp;</p>

<p>Second, I&#39;m bringing some of the external hard drive files from my Content Library and manually putting them into my empty 4.8 studio on the new computer (I am starting from scratch to customize it.) &nbsp;How does that work so far as DIM recognizing what&#39;s been installed? Does it only know what it has installed, or will it also show (in the DIM Installed section) the other DAZ content which is already located in the studio?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Doesn&#39;t anyone know which HDRI Packs in the shop are really compatible with Reality 4.1? I found some interesting products -<strong> Sphere of Light - Enviroment Lighting</strong>, <strong>DAZ Studio Iray HDR Outdoor Environments</strong>, <strong>Apocalyptic Plant Indoors Set 2 </strong>and <strong>Inane Glory&#39;</strong>s products like <strong>Dawn to Dusk</strong>. But I have found too little info how they will work in Reality (Lux Render), mostly this info is confusing like this thread - <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/50496/best-reality-4-light-package">http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/50496/best-reality-4-light-package</a> , where one user said that <strong>Sphere of Light - Enviroment Lighting</strong> will work, and another said it will not. This package was made for DS, but as I learned recently, it utilizes its own Skydome, and TIFF and HDR images as textures. What about IRAY products - as I&#39;ve learned, they contain HDR images in the Textures folder, but no TIFF or IBL files.<br />
In Reality I have the IBL Sphere prop, the same as Skydomes and I can apply different textures to this prop. I suppose there is a way to apply any HDR textures without Iray or DS presets to the Reality 4 IBL sphere, but I don&#39;t know how to do it right for such products. <strong>HiroProtagonist</strong> in <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/50496/best-reality-4-light-package">that thread</a> wrote how to make SmartIBL file for <strong>Skies of Economy</strong> -</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I successfully extracted&nbsp;mcjTeleBlender2.zip&nbsp;in the file directory&nbsp;C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\scripts\mcasual folder. And, I&nbsp;extracted the various python files of&nbsp;mcjBlendBot2.zip to the&nbsp;C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.76\scripts\modules folder.</p>

<p>I have a 30 frame animation. When I run mcjTeleBlender in Daz and click &quot;Export Animation,&quot;&nbsp;it exports 0 - 29 .mtl files of 2 KBs each and 0 - 29 .obj files of 33 MB each&nbsp;</p>

<p>-- one mtl file and one obj file for each frame. This totals a whopping 990 MBs for a 30 frame animation. I then have to open Blender 2.76 and import each of the .obj files which it treats as thirty separate objects.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Is there a more&nbsp;efficient method, that I am unaware of, to export animations from Daz3D to Blender?&nbsp;</p>

<p>1. Holy crap she&#39;s so pretty o.o</p>

<p>2. There&#39;s still the pinky-notquoteorange-ness to the images but I know by now to ignore that.</p>

<p>3. She&#39;s so pretty o.o</p>

<p>4. The eyes and makeup I can see look nice, and I know how many there are from the list at the bottom, but I really prefer those promo pages that just do boxes showing all of the available options.</p>

<p>5. It&#39;s kind of funny that she&#39;s for Victoria 7 because she gives me such an Eva impression (maybe it&#39;s the hair) xD</p>

<p>6. To Raiya, I don&#39;t know if it was you or Daz that decided the promos, but it&#39;s really better for us if we can see all of the hair and makeups (I know several are used across the shots, but not all in a simple image together.)</p>

<p>7. It&#39;d also help to say which renders are which render engine, not just &quot;Daz Render.&quot; (I&#39;m assuming they&#39;re all Iray but I know there are a lot of 3DL fans and there are 3DL mats...)</p>

<p>8. Finally, she&#39;s so pretty o.o I&#39;m in love. I&#39;m also broke ._. But as soon as I&#39;m not broke I will be a Brooklyn having person that has a super pretty character.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>If anyone knows how to get rid of the black borders (on the sides) Corel Videostudio makes that would be nice. Even their resampling options, fit to project size etc., doesn&#39;t get rid of them, just narrows them a bit. There must be a way but the tutorials I&#39;ve seen refer to that resample trick that doesn&#39;t actually get rid of them. All my vids have this black border... I didn&#39;t think much about until someone asked for some vids without them!!&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ll start by saying that petipet has done an amazing job with this series of products.&nbsp; We have Atlantida Weapons, Atlantida Spaceguard, Atlantida Monument, Atlatida Portal, Atlantida Copter, Atlantida Temple and Atlantida Temple Props.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Some of his other products can also fit into this atmosphere, maybe with a little textural modification. IMO these include: Intrepid Explorer Phoenix, Space Stones, Sci-Fi Antenna, Alien Plants, and Sea Scapes.</p>

<p>What I am looking for are suggestions of other products that may fit the into the feel of the Atlantida world.&nbsp; Before the weapons came out, I only had a tiny itch to expand my need.&nbsp; But with the weapons, my main focus is finding a musical instrument that may be found alongside the weapons.</p>

<p>Background:&nbsp; I am running a D&amp;D campaign where I am incorporating numerous DAZ purchased items for flavor and to challenge the (very) experienced players.&nbsp; The Land Shark from the store nearly killed them 2 sessions ago.&nbsp; I am hoping that they will find the artifacts available to them, and when I saw the weapons, I knew I probably had the basis for the weapons and staff.&nbsp; Now I need a musical instrument for the Bard.&nbsp; The other Atlantida products (part of the Monument has already been seen) will probably be included as they explore and find more and more of the ancient places, but only time will tell.</p>

<p>So with the knowlege that the DAZ forums are populated my many talented, creative, and web-roaming individuals, I come here and ask if anyone has any ideas of what products may be available that will enhance what petipet has made available.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>My latest project took Iray 4 hours 49 minutes to process 15000 Max Samples.&nbsp; I&#39;ve rendered it twice now, and it always stops after reaching Max Samples.</p>

<p>My understanding of the Progressive Rendering settings for Iray is that enabling Render Quality is supposed to override Max Samples and Time.&nbsp; It doesn&#39;t.&nbsp; I have Render Quality set to 10, and Rendering Converged Ratio set to 99.9%.&nbsp; It never exceeded 4%.</p>

<p>Is this a bug, is my understsanding of the render settings wrong?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I start rendering a scene and it gets to 7% after 10 minutes. I notice something I need to fix, G3F needs to to be a little bigger in size, I shut down the render, make her about 10% larger, and start to render again.</p>

<p>This time the render is sitting on 2% after 45 minutes. I didn&#39;t touch anything apart from that little resizing. The figure is only a very small part in the overall scene, about one 40th of the render dimensions.</p>

<p>The render appears to be progressing as quickly the previous one, but that little progress bar isn&#39;t behaving anything like it did before. And I&#39;ve noticed this strange behaviour many times. What&#39;s happening?</p>

<p>It&#39;s been a while since I did any morphs for DAZ. I usually use ZBrush. I am having trouble exporting a G2M Figure back into DAZ. I am using ZBrush 4R7 and DAZ Studio 4.8.</p>

<p>When I hit GOZ to bring back to DAZ, it brings my figure as an OBJ. I don&#39;t get the update mesh/ import as a morph dialogue? I have DAZ&#39;s Resolution set as Base and to 0. When I bring it into ZBrush I hit Autogroups with UV. I edited my figure. I hit GOZ to send to DAZ but it brings it into DAZ as another OBJ under my exiting figure. Hope I am not too confusing lol... THX</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So earlier this week I bought a whole bunch of stuff and a $400 gift card for myself.&nbsp; With discounts via other stuff I was buying, the gift card price was only $344, so this was a good deal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A little while after I finalized the purchase, I got two emails from DAZ saying that I have been sent a gift.&nbsp; Specifically, I received two separate emails with different Gift Card codes, apparently each is for $400.&nbsp; I&#39;ve checked my funding source and have confirmed that I was only charged for one gift card.&nbsp; I will open a support case with DAZ and I&#39;m sure they&#39;ll withdraw one of the gift cards on Monday, but in the meantime if I want to buy something this weekend, how do I know which code to use?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I'm not sure what I've done.</p>

<p>I opened Daz Studio and in the Products directory in the Content Library files were missing for random letters of the alphabet. I reset the DB and reimported metadata which caused the Products and Category links to stop showing a sideways triangle next to them. I then reinstalled Daz Studio and now the Products and Categories are gone entirely.</p>

<p>Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? </p>

<p>so im new to this Daz land but been using Poser for a while. The one good thing about it was a decent Content manager, but they ruined that in Poser 11 so on to new shores i thought. And new and uncharted they are ....</p>

<p>So most of my stuff (and stuff in general i guess because i did not change a lot) in a Poser content library is sorted in Folders like</p>

<ul>
	<li>&quot;Nice Hair&quot;
	<ul>
		<li>&quot;Color1&quot;</li>
		<li>&quot;Color2&quot;</li>
		<li>...</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
</ul>

<p>So what happend after i searched for &quot;Nice Hair&quot; in &quot;Poses&quot; .... nothing. I dont know why Daz does not like folder names but i could not figure out a decent way to get my stuff. Short of creating a whole lot of Products and Categories. Dont get me wrong those are fine but i have a lot stuff already and dont want to write Product describtions for stuff i did not make and dont know when i will need it.</p>

<p>But i&#39;m a programmer so when i see a problem i write a program to solve it ... yes even if it takes longer than doing it by hand!</p>

<p>Given the nice scripting IDE in 4.8 it and the discovery of searchable Metadata it was a lot easier then i thought.</p>

<p>This script will recursivly Add the folder name a item is in to the &quot;user keywords&quot; metadata field. And make it searchable and even autocompletable in the Content Lib.</p>

<p>Just select a FOLDER in the Content Lib (e.g. Poser Formats-&gt;Poser 2014-&gt;Poses) and execute the script, from the IDE or make a custom action. Give it a few seconds/minutes depending on the amount of stuff. Now searching for &quot;Nice Hair&quot; brings up &quot;Color1&quot; and &quot;Color2&quot;!</p>

<p>As i mentioned im new and maybe this is totaly silly or there is a better way, if so plz enlighten me. I just thought i leave this here because searching for a solution just turned up &quot;it&#39;s not possible&quot; stuff from this forum and now maybe someone will be more lucky than me.</p>

<p>I did a closeup render, and there&#39;s zigzags everywhere. Did an edit-&gt;object-&gt;convert to sub-d, and it looks much better. Still a few kinky spots, but a big improvement from the &quot;1968 has gone seriously wrong&quot; look it had before.</p>

<p>I&#39;m building a new PC, and I&#39;m hesitating about the OS at the moment, I would like to take another Windows 7, but I wonder if it will work with the new GPUs that should be released later this year (Pascal), does anyone know anything about it ? Is it more &quot;safe&quot; to get Windows 10 for that purpose ?</p>
