DAZ Store Asleep At the Wheel - Error thread

I frequently wonder if anyone at DAZ actually looks at the store and the ads to see if they match or even make a lick of sense. Witness today's Gia 7 promotion which, in multiple places, talks about 80% off Gia 7 products with the purchase of Gia 7. It says that at least four times: twice on the sale page itself, once across the top of the main store page, once in the ad they sent me via e-mail... and, of course, all the items currently in that category are actually for Gia 6, a number of which could NEVER work with Gia 7. One mistake is bad, but four times is kinda ridiculous...

I don't know what I am doing, or did, wrong. I downloaded the free LAMH to the correct location, and I purchased the real fur for Daz big cat 2, and everytime I click on the icons to add the real fur my system crashes. ????

Hi,

Can someone tell me what settings I'll need to get the lips to have a glittery effect in iRay? I'm thinkin it's the Metallic Flakes but tried just about every slot for a map I made, which gives me the colors but the flake settings I've been experimenting with are just not to my liking.

When the Egyptian mega bundle was released DAZ said that the ones who would buy it would get an extra reduction (30% off) off the new characters (DAZ Originals) that would be released in January 2016.

I have put the pro bundle in my cart but the price is $66.13 as on the description page...

I tried to find a tutorial on how to use the presets for the free LAMH plugin and can't find any that tell me what I need to know. I downloaded the free presets from the site but do not know how to use them, such as installing and gettign them to show up in Daz. Anyone know where I can find the information for this?

Does using sun sky only increase iray render times?

So I recently starting messing around with the sun sky in the render settings. I like how using sun sky only lights one of my renders. I've noticed however that the render speed has slowed majorly in comparison to using spotlights etc. Is this normal or is my computer having a mental breakdown?

It doesn't say explicitly in the product description, and I probably know the answer to this, but this promo image shows some wine glasses and shaker... but these props aren't listed anywhere in the product description at all. Are these included or were they separate items used for the promo shots?

Is anybody else currently experiencing problems with the DAZ3D site?

Parts of it seem very slow and sometimes I get timeout errors on store search. Also when I go to my product library it doesn't show any products even though I own several thousand.

So in a few months I'm looking to upgrade my gpu for rendering and gaming. Right now I have a geforce Gtx 750ti , 2GB. I don't think I've been able to take full advantage of GPU rendering with Iray because of my lack of VRAM. The main thing I'm looking to do is increase render speeds. Any help getting pointed in the right direction would be appreciated.

I am trying to fit the Furisode http://www.daz3d.com/furisode-genesis-2-female-s properly. I found the bones for the sleeves but the trouble is more at the shoulder. I tried to adjust but when I move it to much I get pokethrough.

Anynbody can help me with that?

Iray and 3Delight questions

Hi,

So I'm doing a bit of rendering. I've already done one in Iray, but I wanted to know, what's the difference between Memory and Speed.

I'm not running an Nvidia graphics card. To be honest, I'm not sure what card the desktop uses. Although, I think it's the same(ish) as my laptop. Which is an AMD Radeon HD.

As for the 3Delight question. I've been using toon and sketch cam basic. But, now I've gone back to rendering normal images, I've had quite a bit of a problem resolving this Severity error:

3Delight message #43 (Severity 1: R5009) "displacement" attribute without "sphere" value has no effect

As far as I'm aware, it's having no impact on my renders, but it would still be nice to know if there is a way to resolve it.

Personally, I wish there was a page which listed all of the severity errors that Daz3d can throw out and, (maybe) include a way to resolve them.
