I'm looking for an inexpensive card for my secondary (and older) computer. This is an older PC that I use occassionally to render images that might take a few days (I can leave it running without tying up my main machine), or to test configurations and software I don't want on my main box. I'm looking to spend about $100-$150 to upgrade the video card, and this one hits a few of the features I'm looking for:

NVIDA chipset

4 GB memory

VGA output (so it will work with my keyboard/mouse/monitor switching hardware); I would rather not use an adapter, but I could if I had to

So, I'm looking at two contenders, and the question really comes down to this: Is the 740 chip that much better than the 730?

MSI Computer NVIDIA GeForce GT 740 4GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card N740-4GD3
At Amazon for $100 (and the price difference between the two cards is so small that it's not a factor). Specs list it at 384 CUDA cores.

and

ZOTAC GeForce GT 730 Low Profile 4GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 (x8 lanes) Graphics Card (ZT-71115-20L)
It's on Amazon for about $83. Reviews were okay, and the specs are decent. But I'm not familiar with this brand, and was wondering if any of you fine folk were? Specs list it at 384 CUDA cores.

Thoughts? Alternatives?

I'm asking mainly from an accessory/clothing/character perspective.

I know character wise it's harder to do a double set due to differences in G3F/M versus previous generations (ie V4/Genesis, V4/G2F, etc), so I'm also wondering if those have made an impact as to what generation sells better.

I have this product, but...where in the heck is it. I think I have installed everything that I have purchased. Every thing since 4.9 has been installed through Daz Connect. If I type tattoo into the search bar, I get nothing. If I go to the store tab and type in tattoo, about 7 products show up. But not this one. Oh, it's there sort of. It is in a bundle, but I didn't buy the bundle. Just this piece. But this piece doesn't show up in the store. (Besides, even if you bought the bundle, you can't click on the bundle and install it, you have to install each of the individual pieces, so why even show the INSTALL button on a bundle?)

And what good are those tabs like available, and update and installed? Nothing EVER shows up there!

If I log into my account, I can see that I have purchased this product. But I can't find it.

The only way I can find my new purchases (that I haven't installed) is to search the store tab. And then I find each product and click on INSTALL because like I said...nothing ever shows up in those tabs like available or update.

Sometimes I think I will just forget about Daz Connect and go back to the DIM. At least I can confirm that I have installed something, and I can find out where it put it too!

Usually I don't start this kind of topic. Usually I'm not on the 'this is wrong' side of the community... usually...

But since this is a topic that is very important for me... I have to post this, because if I don't it would go against what I try to stand for.

Please DAZ, if you advertise for "strong female characters, acessoires and more", please don't go on to give us hair, headwear, one of the 'usual' female characters, clothes that show a lot of skin and seem a bit impractical and cute headmorphs. You not only join the choir of people who unwittingly make it harder for women, but also deminish very good items of your vendors.
Honestly: they all look great and there was a lot of work behind them for the vendors. There were also testers and you yourself had people test these items as I understand it... all people involved in the making of these products did a great work... but really... "strong female" isn't what comes to my mind with these things... and I would SO love to to see more stuff in the store where exactly that comes to my mind.

Yeah I know I'm only one voice and you're a store, you have to sell your stuff, the vendors want to make money and all of you should make money... definitley.

But - dear and awesome team who generates the amazing pics and programming for the sales and the whole site - in the progress of selling and making money, do you think that maybe you could try to work on such wordings? Pretty please? That would be amazing!

Thanks for reading my plea. :)

edit: obviosly I can't type or spell, so if there are still typos... please set them free in a natural environment of your choosing :)

I DON'T want it to go to C: drive, I want it to go to F: drive which is my external drive.

If I change that to F:My Library, I get a message: (see image)

I'm not too sure what this means.

If I click "yes", the C: path adds itself to the "DAZ Studio Formats" under F:My Library. What does that mean?

If I click "no", all my Smart Content icons turn into grey default icons, like they can't be found.

So I don't know what I do here. I really really don't want anything installed to my C drive at all.

"A Mexican all-female police squad known as the "sexiest force in the world" – whose uniform came complete with tight trousers, cleavage, and knee-high boots – has been disbanded. A senior official made the decision after deciding that it was damaging to the force's image and made the officers feel uncomfortable."

But of course, it's been disbanded. I am sad now.

What is the best proper tool for easy editing DUF and DSF material files?

A little question about Dimension3D and other possible DUF\DSF editors. Is there any tool, suitable for lazy persons like me :-) to edit DUF and DSF files easy and fast - I mean if I need to replace 3-4 links to texture maps in, say, Genesis material preset files. And the same problem with references in any morph and character DSFs. Yes, I know, it might be done in a plain text editor, but when the file is large and look entangled, I often make a heap of mistakes when doing Find\Replace and miss many important details. For example, I converted G3F texture maps to G2F (had such a strange idea) and need to convert G3F material preset to G2F now and their surfaces differ very much - G3F's Eye socket (Face Map) correspond to G2F Lacrimals (Eyes Map) and Arms\Legs need to be replaced with a single map for Limbs and all links to the maps must be replaced too. I tested a straightforward way - to apply G3F preset on her and replace links within DAZ Studio, but it won't work on G2F. The file when opened in a text editor look very long and complicated and contain important shader information, so I hate to spoil it accidentally (made it several times) and have to scrutinize it for long. So far results of such manual editing are not very nice for me.
I feel I need a tool like Dimension 3D, but there are a bunch of tools (never used them before) - do I need DSON Editor of File Reference editor, are they capable of such a task? Generally speaking, it should be a well-known problem already - people learned how to convert texures, but material and shader presets must be converted too.
