The drapings of the new G3F long skirts look very, very nice, almost like Dynamics. But they are really difficult if you don't have the appropriate poses for G3F. And if you want to pose the dress/skirt different from the readymade drape poses, the skirt could become useless at all. Meanwhile, though most of them don't have those wonderful drapes, I take G2F long skirts for my G3F renders. No question: The poses are nice and most of them are really tasteful. But if you want to be a bit creative and don't want to make stereotyped pinups or portraits with stereotyped figures, this has become very difficult if you want to use long G3F skirts.

Today I see 'Glamour Outfit', and I would very much like to have it, but it looks like just another of this kind. 'Skirt_BackOut - Skirt_FrontOut - Skirt_LeftOut - Skirt_RightOut' are the only 'independent' skirt movements. Maybe the fault is on my side because I don't get the concept, but I would like to have more good old conforming clothes for G3F, with riggings for 'upper left back', 'upper left front', 'lower left back', etc. Those were the best (apart from Dynamic Clothing, that is).

Resolved: If you hover over the inexact '#.#K' count the exact count will pop up.

On the main forum pages, for threads which have more than 999 views they are given in thousands (to one decimal place), so the displayed 'views' only changes with every 100th additional view.

Therefore if one day it says '1.1K views' and the next day it says '1.1K views' there's no way of knowing whether the thread has had ZERO views, 99 views, or any intermediate number of views over the past day.

It's not as if using the 'K' saves much valuable screen 'real estate' is it ? Compare:

143.9K views 1.1K views
143987 views 1156 views

It's not because '143.9K views' is easier to read than '143987 views' (although I guess you could argue that one...)

Basically by using the 'K' you're just making the last two digits unavailable. For me (and perhaps for a few other people) those last two digits are the most interesting ones. It's sometimes useful (interesting?) to know whether a thread has had a few dozen views, a couple of views, or no views at all over the past hour/day/week.

(Request #215847 - Website/Forums: Any chance of changing the 'views' from e.g. '3.8K' to '3832' ?)

I've found myself in need of some nice audio device models. I have microphones, gramophones, radios, things like that, what I need is more along the lines of recording and playback devices.

Cassette tape recorders, reel to reel, or pretty much anything like that - the era isn't super important as the project is sort of mixed-decade, so pretty much any time period is fine, the older the better, but really any suggestion would be appreciated - even steampunk would work.

It's a commercial project so I'd like to stick with store stuff if at all possible (daz, renderosity, etc) , and if you do know of a freebie, I can't use non-com.

The situations as we sees it: I've got this long term project in mind. I won't bore you with the details. Suffice it to say this means I've been exploring anthropomorphic model options. I love Starfox Krystal - and although she isn't commercial free I would explore the option of morphing the gollums out of her to make a resulting character that would indeed be commercial free. Melody for Aiko 3, though, is the one I've chosen to play with the most despite there being Catgirl Genesis and a host of others. In other words, I've pretty much hit the bottom of the available furry barrel.

The situations has a problems: Hair. Hair is the problem. Catgirl Genesis's hair is modelled to go around ears, as it should be. No other hairs do. I don't wanna be stuck with just Catgirl's hair, etc. I've put some other hair onto my test model of course, but you know how that works. If it's a pony tail or tie back, the bits go through the ears, etc. In fact just about anything goes through the ears. I don't want that. Dang it. Er, I mean. Gollum.

The solutions as I can thinks of it with my limited knowledges: Obviously we need more furry hair models. We could make a ton of new hair objects, or perhaps we could take the anime doll kit approach and create a base with bits that can be used to create unique ear-friendly hair sets.

Mind gears churning: Maybe I can take the hair bit sets I already have (I have a Cookie set as well) and just morph them into new things?

The obstacle: ... I can't model so well mommy.

The result: Cry. Cry a lot. Le sob. Le really big sob.

EDIT: It is my hopes that with the mention of the anime doll kit it's obvious I means toon hairs in specifics... gollum.

I write with the intention to contact Parris, creator of the amazing 3d model "Bot Genesis"

I'm trying to recreate exactly the promotional image of the "Bot Genesis": http://www.daz3d.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/b/o/bot_gen_popup4_1.jpg

But in trying to recreate using Victoria 4.2 base I can not obtain the same facial traits: https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/112912/

I would love and I hope to meet the original artist (Parris), and to know the technical details of the promotional image "Bot Genesis", to clarify which was the base model used, the pose, the type of HDR reflection in the body surface as well as the environment used. It would be truly a great help.

Thank you so much for your attention.

Best regards,

Marco

Hi folks,

I'm displeased with the scarcity of good textures for the DAZ Millennium Cat and so have decided I want to create my own, but unfortunately cannot find the texture template for it. There is no link to a template on the Mil Cat's product page, and quite frankly, I don't want to bother with running it through UVMapper. Do any of you know where I can find the template? Many thanks for your help with this!
