Width is width and depth is depth but not if it comes to the waist width morph on G3F what causes bad results on the backside if the upper bodyparts get bended forward. Has someone a reasonable explaination why the waist width morph expand also the depth of the lower back of the hip/waist ? That causes bad results if the upper bodyparts gets bended forward. The result is a "step" on the backside between the hip and the waist region and that is also the result when just using the "Olympia body shape" which makes the "step" much more worse, okay, that is a character body shape but the waist width morph itself also does this just not so extreme.

I know there is manga Studio (or what ever it is called now) but what other options are there to make graphic novels with? I do have Photoshop CS6 and Adobe indesign CS6 (I think but not with my computer at the moment) I do not have manga studio and it looks like I cannot get it at this time.

could be possible to use some kind of poses from other figures?

There are lots of possible poses available on daz store but all I have seen and found are for human figures not for robots, unless they may be compatible in some way, or if the poses could be converted

Hi,

I'm making mats for a product... seems that what can be done in 3Delight with little effort is turning into a chore of annoyance. Quite simply I have a set of head and wrist bands for a workout set, in 3Delight they look positively perfect with enough fuzz on them and poof to look realistic. In iRay after the basic conversion and adding in a Normal map and removing the Displacement map I have a pretty flat looking set of band. I tried to get a displacement map to work for me but in iRay it just seems to be deform the low poly items rather than actually displace. I'm using a noise map (which worked fine in 3Delight).

So if anyone has found a way under iRay please post.

Thanks so much

So, I just finished the Hobbit trilogy and I ended up having a a major crash on Thranduil, the elven king.
I was wondering if there's anything out there for him, especially the head morph of course.
I use every male figure available for poser and DS and any figure would do great. So is there anything available? Free or for pay is fine with me, I'm just a little obsessed with him right now :)

So the leg is flat on the ground and is not in the correct position. Is there anyway I can copy the rigging from the default G2F onto this new leg? I tried fitting and obviously it ended up with G2F with a mechanical leg flat on the ground. Any ideas?

The level of control and detail this morph pack gives me over G3F faces is unprecedented. I have not had Nostril Size control since V4. The Inner, Middle, and Outer Brow controls render easy what was heretofore impossible. If you like to dial in specific faces or look-alikes then you have to have this pack! (This is merely my informed opinion, and I have received no remuneration or encouragement from the PA for this message).

Poor G3M needs this so badly. There are only a few G3M characters (other than Daz Original base models) that look much different from the G3M alien doughboy mesh. Perhaps GenX Add-On for Genesis 3 will save the poor fellow.

I was never able to get satisfactory results modelling things against a morph. Like if I modelled something on the Genesis Basic Female morph and then used the Reverse Source Shape From Target it always looked like crap on the Genesis base figure and never looked like the original when the Genesis Basic Female morph was applied.

It's so much easier to make the top for Genesis base figure, then make a morph for that top that fits the way I want it to on the Genesis Basic Female figure and then when I fit the original geometry to the Genesis figure, load the Basic Female version as a morph and name it FBMBasicFemale, the same name as the generated morph. Save the outfit and when next I load it and dial up the Genesis Basic Female it automatically dials in the morph I made instead of the generated morph. Now I have clothes that look good on both the Genesis base form AND the female form.

I feel like an idiot for not doing this with all my clothing from day one. It's so much easier than trying to make fix morphs for the breasts on the Basic Female shape. It's such an obvious fix I can't believe I didn't figure this out before now. DOY!

I’m working with the new FirstBastion Police Station (love it!) and am trying to black out some of the upper windows. I picked one and changed the opacity to make it solid, and about 8 other windows were blacked out too. It seems that not every window it a separate object. It was weird seeing a random mix of windows all over the building suddenly black. (I’m not at home to try this, but the thought just hit me that maybe I could try ungrouping them… not sure if that is the problem) So I figure the only way to block those windows is to create some kind of object to sit just behind them and put some kind of texture on it so it looks like curtains or something.

So my question is… since I’ve never done this… how do you create a long, flat object that you can apply a texture to? I could probably find some kind of prop to stretch across, but considering that the distance from the camera is quite a ways off, it doesn’t have to be anything detailed, so a plain flat object could suffice.

Is a ‘primitive’ the way to go? I’ve never created one, so I’m not sure how to create and design it.

Also, this could be in the same vein, I’m putting a bulletin board in the lobby and want to put papers on it with custom text. Would I create those papers the same way?

I remember seeing a product in the store (http://www.daz3d.com/everyday-morphing-primitives) and that gave me the idea that that may be the way to go here.

Suggestions?

I recently made a picture with a furry character. But he doesn't look very furry.

I use the mats from the Bunny Girl for Genesis. I fiddled a bit with settings but didn't get anywhere and needed to render and finish.

So, it's time for me to learn to make fur. This was done in iRay, but it wasn't furry in Lux either.

Anyone have suggestions on where to start?

I was wondering how possible it would be to create a set of stylized kitty face smiles as seen in anime and sometimes emoticons for Genesis (ideally 1 & 2). Some examples include the following:

On top of other discounts?

And I have to buy four new releases?

From a list of items that I would have bought anyway?

Count me in. I just spent my projected 2016 3D budget on a gift card.

Even if you don't want any of the new releases, there are more than four below $3.50.

It's worth it.

Can someone please explain to me in very simple terms what each of these settings is used for? I know the answers are scattered around but I can't find a simple easy explanation. (I'm compiling notes and don't mind searching for the info but my brain is about to explode with an overload that Iray thread is really long!.) What kind of render is each best for? indoors, outdoors etc? I am so confused. I think I understand and try to apply it and end up with a black screen. Or some other weird thing. I'm to the point where I just leave it at the default even though I know I could do so much more if knew what each one is for. You would think it would be self evident but, apparently not. At least not to me.

Sun-Sky Only

Scene Only

Also the Dome Modes - whats the difference between a infinite sphere with ground and a finite sphere with ground and what is the difference in a render if I use a finite sphere or a finite box with ground?

In the Scene tab, I select the parent part that I want to hide, then right click and select children.

Then, I swear that I used to be able to go to the Parameters Tab, Click on All in the left column, then find the Visible in Render and Visible options and, with one click, turn them all off. But now I can only do that for whatever body part I first selected. What am I missing?

AntMan made a suggestion for DAZ parties.

I love the idea of a DAZ party! I wonder how we could promote it, as a way of introducing new artists to the craft? Maybe some of the vendors could get together and put together a starter pack that could be offered to first-time purchasers only (I wouldn't mind being left out, if it would attract new future friends!) consisting of enough items, examples, and tutorials for a new user to get a good solid start on producing a variety of art? If it was kept below $100.00, it might be an easy sell.

I would be willing to host a party where I live (Savannah, GA) if I could figure out a way to promote it, and get some help hosting it. Other local users with laptops who would be willing to help set up and demonstrate to the interested just how it works, how to use DAZ, maybe a free or low cost expansion pack for the free DAZ Studio download, (see above paragraph).

Any ideas? Any help? Anyone?
