I would like to pick all of your collective brains for a second.

I am trying replicate this handsone gent for Genesis

I've got the face down, but i can't get the ears and brow ridges.

I've tried using both the De-formers and exporting to Hexagon but they ridges alway come out jagged and pointy.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's an outfit for A3 and it's by an artist called Eldrich. It's called something like Renaissance Baroness for Aiko3.  There were a swarm of add-on texture sets from 3rd-parties.

I've got what appear to be the original the files. It includes the .obj files. It also includes a swarm of character morph files for A3 and the texture files for the character. There are no textures for the outfit in the package. Thaose were all add-ons.

There are also no .cr2 files for the outfit. All of the add-ons are .pz2 files.

So how was one supposed to load the outfit onto the character? There are promo renders, so it must be possible. Was this some arcane process that was common before I wandered into this hobby back in 2009? Most of these files date from somewhere areound 2005 or 2006.

What am I missing?

Does anyone know what hair this is? (main promo) I stay abreast of what's out, and either its a morph of something else or a pre-release or? Thanks in advance.

This may come across as kind of a 'newbie' question, and if it does..., who cares?

I really like the Easy Environment scenes from Flipmode (sp), but I can't seem to get them to work properly with the Iray render engine.  I'm assuming that the issues I'm having involve both lighting and shaders.  So....

If anyone can offer a few tips and tricks to get those environments to render properly in Iray, I'll appreciate all over ya!

No matter, going multilingual is the right way if you want to expand the customer base in a limited or specialized market. If you want to grow worldwide and not only in native english speaking markets, you have to make sure the people there understand you and that english isn't a barrier for them. The problem is not with the younger generation, it's with the older ones not being safe with english - and that's where the money sits. Can only speak for Germany, but I doubt that is very different in other countries.

Yes, it's only a very basic,sometimes stupid and sometimes funny, automatic translation made by some computer program, that needs to be improved a lot. Still I hope this is not only a test but the future, e.g.

The store page is a bit of a mess, too. I know it's a freebie, but it should at least have a properly set up store page, with actual descriptions and compatibilities. This looks like it was just copied and pasted from the RDNA store.

In any case, the copy with the name; RTEncoderPy-10.6 will not run in ElCapitan.

In any case, I've got a copy of Arien's Sylvan Jewels for Fabiana's Elven Soul. It was purchased here at DAZ (Arien's add-on, that is), and I am pretty sure that I had a decoded copy at one point, but it's disappeared, and I only have the original file, complete with the Bitrock installer (which I was surprised, but relieved ,to see would run). Is this something that I ought to contact Support with. I seem to have purchased it a loooong time ago.

I know that's kind of my fault for going "freebie crazy" and collecting a ton of freebies (but as someone with a very limited budget I find that freebies are mainly what I'm going to be using, as I can't really afford to buy much at all through the Daz Store). 

This is just part of it. And under those files are more files. And under those some of them have more... Yeah. How can one organize this mess? What tips can you all give me on helping me get these files where I can find stuff? What kind of filing sytem works for you guys? Are there any tutorials on how to organize files/content in Daz Studio? ANY help you guys can give me would be much appreciated.

And before someone suggests it... No. I am not going to make them myself. I'm not interested in that type of modeling.

I've found a variety of M3 head morphs that include Harpo Marx, and I could be just as happy using the Marx Brothers, instead. As I said, I just think it could add a little humor to something I'm working on.

the hair featured in the main promo image is so perfectly dollesque, i can't imagine using the character as a doll without it. 

i've been trying to identify it for days without success, though, and i've run out of reasonable adjectives to search by.

Do I need to reinstall those files? If so, where?

Personally, I'd love to see the "before and after" of your book covers: before you add your text, and after you add it. And if there was a lot of post work, the raw render, as well. Illustrations are welcome, too, of course.

When I opened this folder, there was no "Runtime" folder in "My Studio" folder. There are some other folders, like "data" and what not. The horror came when I found out that apparantly all of my backups didn't contain this folder either. I don't really blame them, this would have been an odd folder to save my custom characters to. On the other hand, it is a bit suspicious, because I usually do backup my Documents folder. Not as often as my Pictures folder, but I do. 

The problem is that this folder is something I can imagine a install of DAZ 4.9 could have overwritten. And I also know that those files were created during some wild spread on only one of my many computers. I'm not sure I backed it up properly. 

So, could someone clear up my confusion: could it be that a install of an update of DAZ overwrites this folder including deleting (!) folders there, not just adding new ones?

Also, could it be that DAZ sends me to some strange place instead of the right place when not finding the files?

That's what you get for being an early shopper. :-(

If it's not too much to ask could you included basic presets for the hair when the head is turned left, right, up and down?

WInd effects are cool, but if the hair cannot be posed in the basic head poses what's the point?
