Simplifying autofit hair?

So I'm using hair that's made for G2M, I fit it to G2F. No big deal.

Eeeexcept doing so adds 58 MB to the save file. Which is absurd.

Any tips, beyond 'don't autofit it'?

Cobra Queen Face doesn't match body with Iray

I just picked up the Cobra Queen, I noticed her face & ears color doesn't match the body. I checked sufaces for like transparancy and color & values seem to match.

Grainy Render only in specific scene

I've been using Daz for about two months and love it. But I am having an issue with one particular piece and it only happens occasionally. Ive made some renders using http://www.daz3d.com/i13-stylish-room-and-poses. I don't have any problem using 3Delight, but I sometimes get grainy renders with IRay. I only experience these issues when I use this room. I've tried to troublshoot it by changing how many figures I have in the scene but it doesn't seem to matter. I have render with eight characters and it's fine, but have rendered with two and it's grainy. I've take those same eight characters and placed them in another room and no grain. Could it be the lighting within this scene? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Daz monsters and animals for Iray...any ETA?

Hi, I've been waiting new generation of Daz monsters and animals, and I'm getting little impatient. I'm desperately hoping that DAZ is "clearing the store" of older versions with these constant Daz Original sales, but I'm not holding my breath. So any of you who have been here longer remember around what time those non-human models started appearing last time with Genesis 2? I'm anxiously waiting for dragon, horse, cats and creature creator kit with proper Iray support. Since most of them are on the top selling list, I really hope they make new versions for current generation and Iray too. A watched pot never boils....sigh

I think it has been said numerous times before, but some kind of roadmap or trailers for upcoming products would be really nice.

fitting older hair to genesis without losing morphs

Hi all,

I'm using Daz Studio 4.8 and I was wondering if there is a way to fit hair that was made for V4 and M4 to genesis, without losing the morphs and such that came with it.

Right now, when you load a hair figure into Daz Studio and use the "fit to" option, the hair becomes static. No more options to change the tail size of bend the bangs and such...

What I do right now is just loading the figure in as a stand-alone and manually rescale and reposition it to fit. Then I parent the figure to the genesis head. Yet the "fit to" option is a lot quicker, and provides a much better fit than my "hand-crafted" fit... So Is there any way to have the best of both worlds? (did Daz Studio 4.9 fix this perhaps?)

Studio Different When Opening- Doesn't Ask Me About Offline

I didn't do anything different and although I'm still getting that stupid "need to reauthenticate" garbage every time (and yes, with the latest version, still getting that) all of a sudden in Content Library now with the Daz Studio Formats I have Daz Connect in addition to Daz. When I go up to Connect, the Work Offline is not an option, it's darkened out. Am I offline or online, and why did the Work Offline suddenly disappear from my opening of the studio, and why is work offline not an option? I don't use connect.

Is this groups of 3D type scene presets or can it configured as complete buildings?

I am working on project where I have helicopters flying in to scene and need to know if this bundle has buildings

Fantasy Weapons Collection 2 pose/hand pose confusion solved

Does anyone have Porsimo's Fantasy Weapons Collection 2 and can confirm that I am not crazy?

The description states it has Genesis 3 Female and Genesis 3 Male smart props as well as hand poses. But I can't find them anywhere. I installed them via Connect and when I look in Smart Content at them, it's a mess. The icons themselves don't state which figure they are for (except the M4/V4 ones) and I have to click on 'info' and look at the file name to work it out. However, there are NO Genesis 3 listed in the file names. It's Genesis, Genesis 2 Female & Genesis 2 Male only.

Anyone else who has them, can you double check to make sure I'm not missing something obvious?

Vendors- we appreciate the artistic promos, but please don't cover up the characters faces- particularly the eyebrows- when we want to see the details. Kiki is one where there the shots are a bit distant, not quite closeups.

Not mad enough (yet) for my money:

Buy two new releases - that's more than $20 worth - to get a very ordinary 50% off some other items. Maybe worth it if you're getting the extra discount from Girl 7, but those of us who don't do toons are unlikely to be moved. I seem to remember that it started poorly last year before getting better, let's hope history repeats.

Lips, not so real

There is something which prevents me from buying most new characters: the lips. As with the new Hero 7, most men show a kind of blown-up lips, lips I wold expect on a beauty queen, female. In real life nearly all men I know tend to have much smaller lips.

Even the majority of the DAZ women don't look very much realistic with ballooning lips. Or they look like they just had their lips plumped. Yes, I know, with all these morpeh packs I can make the lips smaller or give them other forms. But if I have to change the faces much, I can start with basic Genesis figures, don't need the several other morphs. (Exceptions are figures like Bethany7, wich are definitely different and beautiful in their own right)

Am I the only one who thinks these appearance features look somehow wrong? Or is it intentional, because all other buyers wish for this overbording beauty standard?

Is there a product to morph G2F to G2M?

I've been thinking about the bends in knees and elbows of late. There's a number of bend fixer products out there. Are they just additional morphs that you use to smooth things out? Do they auto fix the bends?
