Isn't there a quick way to just make a selection like with the keyboard like on a Mac?

Also this says Daz Studio Standard. Is there a pro version? I don't think the one on my Mac says standard...

With 8 eye presets in red blue green and yellow which come with a glowing eyes version in both Iray and 3Delight materials. It works well with standard morphs and figure shapes like Michael 7, Kimo 7 and Gianni 7.

Just uploaded to DAZ store an absolutely FREE upgrade to HeadShop 10 WIN.

Why Upgrade?

Our development philosophy is simple with each new version: 1. Make the software more user-friendly by simplifying operations. 2. Make the output better with every new release.

Compared to the previous release HeadShop 10.0, HeadShop 10.2 offers two important upgrades and changes.

1. Simplification of the set-up process from two screens to a single screen. Add headshape dots to get the correct headshape right from the start

2. Combination of shapedots and texture dots on work area. Now the same dots move both.

These improvements result in 50% less steps and better head-shapes at the output. We have also updated the manual and fixed some How-to video links.

I hope you enjoy the improvements!

Another more serious item on my part, maybe it has been discussed before......

As one thing is very noticeable in a render, it is the texture distortion you get when you use a figure that is not quite 'standard', be it a bigger, taller, shorter, more busty or flatchested character. A great chance the render will not look that nice because of the strechting of 'textures with a pattern' in all the 'wrong' places. Of course, it won't be possible to get a fix for all situations, but is it very difficult to come with a clothing model that has more than one uv-map option? The only clothing that comes to mind that has such an option (as I have that item ) is http://www.daz3d.com/mall-girl-for-genesis

I've also noticed another clothing item at an other store that offers some different uv-map options (in that case for use with 'Skyler').

Again anyone any thoughts on this? I'm not a modeler, so I've got no notion how much extra work it is to create it (apart from the extra testing that will be necessary; having done some testwork myself, I'm well aware that modeling it is just one part of the job.....).

For one thing, sometimes I'd like to know 'am I being unusually sensitive about what someone is saying, or is there a bunch of similar sentiments?'

For another, sometimes I'm really curious to know if I've rubbed a lot of people the wrong way...

Hello, I have a question on geometric shell saving as a preset.

As what I have to save a geometric shell as preset to have also the selected visibility (on/off) of "shell bodyparts" and "visibility bodyparts" next to the surface parameters?

Example: One preset should have a surface for the face next to the surface for the body, the second version not. So for the first version I turn visbility for the face "on" and have also the surface paremters for the face in the second version I want no surface for the face just for the body so I have no surface parameters for the face and turn the visibility for the face "off". Both versions saved as properties preset. If I load the first version I have both the surface for the face and for the body but I load the second preset I have the surface for the body but the default surface for the face and the visibility is not turned "off". So it seams that a shell saved as properties preset did not save the parameters for shell parts visbility (on or off) and also not the offset distance value. So it seams properties preset is not the correct one for a geometric shell.

SOLVED: Forgot to check also "others" in the save menu

I just had to ask this because it seems counterintuitive to me... Most people I know, tend to hold the tablet horizontal (landscape) but many websites seem to want you to view them in Vertical (portrait) mode... In landscape the images are easier to read and the keyboards are bigger... Even here you can't get the "Edit" icon to appear unless the tablet is in portrait (vertical)... Well, at least on iPad/IOS...

But in general most websites seem to be optimized for desktops, despite the fact that the Internet wants to go with you everywhere... But desktops are heavy and extension cords usually max out at 100ft... Or there is an assumption because of the prevalence of texting, people need to be in vertical mode so they can thumb type... ?

Just curious.

Bought this pack awhile back... which is pretty excellent, except for this issue. Don't understand why there is a head in the worker helmet, especially when you have a shaded over helmet lens (black or gold) Really all we need is a rigged suit, when we have a shaded helmet lens we really don't need to see a face.

I have issues with this content because the way it is rigged the head and the helmet don't seem to be "synchronized to work together". The head moves outside the helmet. The head doesn't move with the helmet. The head has more movement range than the helmet.

It probably wouldn't matter if the characters were used without a helmet, which defeats the purpose of a space suit with enclosed air supply. I have not tried a geometry edit of the head..maybe that will work. It would be best, if you could have the face in the helmet...however the movement of the head outside the helmet is even more conspicuous.

I am exporting out of Daz3d using FBX for use of the content in IClone 6 for a video project.

Regardless, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Iray Light Portals

Light Portals allow you to “hint” to the renderer the location of openings where light might naturally come in through windows for interior scenes. Since sun and sky lighting can often be too bright for indoor scenes, these portals account for how much and where light enters a room. How effective these portals are at “guessing” where light might appear is dependent on your scene and how large the “windows” in the scene are.

Question for DAZ. I'm working on a printed board game using DAZ Studio to render all my artwork.

On my website, to help promote the board game, I wanted to show some of the creatures in 3D by uploading them to Sketchfab. All the creatures are made using Genesis 2 base with morphs etc.

Is it within the EULA to upload a model as an .obj to Sketchfab as long as the model cannot be downloaded by other people?

I notice for some time now that manual downloads from my Product Library are extremely slow. Eg, downloading a 123 MB file took 23 minutes, maybe longer. I don't have such problems with other shops, so the fault must be on Daz's side. Today I sent a help request, but I want to ask if others have the same problems with manual download.

Tiling a texture across a figure

I'm currently attempting to tile a seamless texture across a figure -- say, G2F or G3F -- to no avail as I keep running into issues with the seams cutting off textures and not lining up properly. As well, the UV tiling across each surface is different -- which is expected as different surfaces have different UV spacings. I can hide the seams somewhat by increasing the tiling number to 10 or so, but that seems like a poor solution.

Has anyone found a set of UV tiling and offset numbers that worked? Or is this a fruitless experiment?

Now, this one I know is doable as I even recall an Admin here once say that you can make a dynamic clothing prop convert to a proper conforming article that will fit to figures like any other in DAZ Studio. Does someone know how to do this properly?
