<p>i am working on a project,a triler for a game and i need to know how its exactly with licenses.so if i buy a product from daz what can i do and i can not do.i tried to read licensing agreement but i dont found an answer for my problem.for example,if i buy a product i have all the rights for that? i can use that in any projects? if i build a scene with one of those products can i sell my project? if i make my game and i will use some procducts purchased from daz should i pay extra for using? can i use parts from a model or scene in another project can i sell that? actually what i can do with that models i buy?</p>

<p><strong>Is there any way to adjust the size of the red/yellow dot that appears around a selected vertex in the geometry editor?</strong></p>

<p>It&#39;s huge by default, and makes it quite hard to accurately select vertices in dense areas of the mesh.&nbsp; Google fu was no help.&nbsp; Thanks!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Most of the time when I create favorites for posing like &quot;Eyes Side to Side&quot; they save with my scene, they don&#39;t reload. I like to create a whole bunch of favorite presets, which takes time, and it is very frustrating when they don&#39;t save to the next time you rebootyour computer or reload the scene. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Why is that?&nbsp;Am I not doing something that would accomplish this feat?</p>

<p>Does Daz Studio has any way to automated renderings? Like a list of .duf files, where when one is ready, it start rendering the next?</p>

<p>If Daz Studio don&#39;t have such thing, anyone ever heard about a script that can do this? It shouldn&#39;t be much complex. Entries like:<br />
Step 1: &nbsp;duf_file_folder duf_file image_folder image_name<br />
Step 2: &nbsp;duf_file_folder duf_file image_folder image_name<br />
Step 3: &nbsp;duf_file_folder duf_file image_folder image_name</p>

<p>It would increase productivity at large scale. The creator would just prepare the scenes in his free time, and let the PC work for the rest of the day.</p>

Anytime I use any sets or interiors, I can&#39;t seem to get rid of the noise or grain. No matter how I try it always looks grainy. Is there a fix? Is there some setting I am missing?</p>

<p>I&#39;m not exactly new to 3d however I&#39;m coming from the &#39;sketchup&#39; side of things.</p>

<p>My question is about &#39;scaling&#39; I&#39;ll try to be a brief as I can.</p>

<p>In most 3d applications you have scaling in the x y and z axis and daz has this as well.</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to create a figure with stunted proportion these are called &#39;chibis&#39; in anime circles.</p>

<p>Big head little body.</p>

<p>When I try to rescale parts of the body the thighs for example there is only one slider available and it scales in all three axis. There doesn&rsquo;t seem to be a way to unlock the slider or access the other sliders using the parameters tab.</p>

<p>This is the Genisis 2 female figure I&#39;m tinkering with.</p>

<p>I apologize if this is a dumb question but the manual has not been very helpful at this point.</p>

<p>So I have recently purchased the Reality plugin, and was trying to install it.&nbsp; However, when I run the installer, I get this message.</p>

<p>The configuration file /private/var/folders/xp/v_ddm5v56jg7bw7q06jd6n9c0000gn/T/AppTranslocation/3EB8C137-0BB6-42B6-BF8D-EB3A4EAA4B44/d/RealityInstaller.cfg is missing. This installation cannot continue.</p>

<p>Any idea what is causing this and how to fix it?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When I installed my Gen 4s into Poser on my old computer, they were in .exes and it would then run an initializing program to update the figures. I had an update program it would remind me to run every time I installed a set of morphs, and that would update the figure to make special places for those morphs, and everything was nice and neat and organized.</p>

<p>Now I have a new computer, so I downloaded my products again and this time the base figures are in a zip file with no exe to install them. I don&#39;t have any trouble with where to put things, I know that drill. What I need to know is how to get those .bat files to update the figure to accept new morph sets like Creature Creator, Hiro, etc. When I load morphs right now they all just pile up in a jumbled list and there&#39;s no separation (i.e. Eye, Eyeball, Nose, Mouth). So figure updating has changed and I need to know how to get it to work.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have been configuring DIM so I can download and install content into Poser Pro 2014.</p>

<p>Generally it has been successful, but I am wondering about content that has been installed to DS. I had thought this content would not be indicated as I had selected PP.</p>

<p>Also as I examine the content to be installed to PP it does not list the V4 figure items, such as V4 morphs, or V4 itself. Should the content installed to DS not be excluded if it is going to be installed to PP now..... ?</p>

<p>What do I need to do?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I have built, using primitives in daz, a spot light made from different mesh with emissive surfaces apllied to it, to look like a led torch. Not because is any use as a light, but only for visual purposes. So I have different meshes, with diffrent surfaces applied to them. Nickel, Rubber, Emissive . . I tried to export and blend all together as obj with daz, and it works. I can reimport the obj as a sinlge mesh and I&#39;m happy with the result. But, even if is possible to select all the diffrent meshes and reapply all the diffrent surfaces, it woukld be a lot better if I can save those surfaces when I export and blend everything in the first place, Those are iRay surfaces, by the way. Any way to do that in Daz? Thanks.</p>

<p>Inspired by <a rel="nofollow" href="http://download.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/134401/how-to-create-our-own-hdri-from-a-scene-in-daz">http://download.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/134401/how-to-create-our-own-hdri-from-a-scene-in-daz</a> I&#39;ve been experimenting with creating HDRIs from existing scenes/environments, and I&#39;m comfortable with the basics (thanks so much to the OP and responders to that thread, and to the Daz team for implementing this kind of stuff).</p>

<p>I&#39;m rendering with Lens Distortion Type = Spherical, and have a Canvas = Beauty, which is outputting an EXR fine, which I then post-process in Photoshop Image-&gt;Adjustments-&gt;HDR Toning, which gives me a 4700x2000 EXR, zoomed-out screenie attached. This looks fine at distance. However, looking close up, I get noise/fireflies as per second screenie.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried Firefly Filter = Enabled and Noise Filter = Enabled, but those don&#39;t seem to resolve it.&nbsp; I <em>think</em> I&#39;m probably doing something daft in the way I render the Beauty Canvas (which is new to me, I&#39;m still learning/practicing on canvasses), but does anyone have tips on what I may be doing wrong, and could suggest where I could improve my image? For example, would more ambient lighting help, I&#39;ve seen grain similar to this in underlit scenes before?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, everyone. Is there a document or video anywhere explaining what all the Iray&nbsp;properties do? I only really understand about half of them. But I applied one of the &quot;smooth polished&quot; &quot;Aged Leather&quot; shaders to this boot, and I understand&nbsp;this for sure. If I&#39;d ever shown&nbsp;up in formation wearing these boots claiming they were &quot;polished,&quot; I&#39;d&nbsp;<strong><em>still</em></strong>&nbsp;be doing pushups! So what properties do I need to adjust to sharpen the shine?</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried playing with each property separately to figure out what it does, but now I&#39;m only more confused than before. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve used one of the Oiled shaders from Dimension&nbsp;Theory&#39;s <span>Anodized - Custom Shader and Preset Suite for Iray. In a lighted scene, it looks great. In low to no light, it glows in the dark. Not a problem; I love it LOL. The problem is I don&#39;t know how to turn that glow off when I don&#39;t want it to. Does anyone know how to do that? Just in case I do want them to not glow lol.</span></p>

<p>Any suggestions to get the morphs and presets to work on the Genesis 3 hair? Is there a Gen 3 -&gt; Gen 2 hair clone?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I tried to update the bone and scales shaders it was a 4 part download and part one of four keeps failing. It looks like there is nothing to install if I try to look at the files. Is there a way to dig in the guts of daz studio and actually delete and redownload the file? I think I am just pretending to redownload it at the moment.</p>

      <title>A question regarding joint orientation</title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When I look at the joints of a Genesis 3 figure (e.g. lThighBend), it&#39;s initial state is defined by a<br />
- Center Point<br />
- End Point<br />
- Orientation<br />
- Rotation Order</p>

<p>I understand that Center/End Point are defined in global X/Y/Z values. The rotation order defines, how the joint is rotated. If I have a rotation of the lThighBend, it starts with the Y (Twist) Rotation, followed by Z (Side-Side) and the X (Bend) rotation.</p>

<p>The thing I wonder about is the Orientation. I assume these are angles in degree. Does it mean that the initial state was made by rotating the joint (aligned with the world Y-axis) first approx. 4.95 degrees around the Y-axis, then 1.92 around the Z-axis and finally 0.65 around the X-axis?</p>

<p>Unfortunately the FBX importer of Cinema 4D ignores the pre-rotation values and so I have to set them manually. I just wonder, if i&#39;m on the right track with the assumtion above.</p>

<p>Any idea?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Like inside a closet, or coffin and such?</p>

<p>I have some props that elements come off or can be made transparent for the camera to get in, but how do I get a crawl space well lit?</p>

<p>Like if my character rummages under the bed?</p>

<p>In post, there&#39;s a simple adjust brightness, exposure, gamma even.</p>

<p>I&#39;ll have ambient light on and my skydome poppin - but how do I adjust the TOTAL brightness of a scene?</p>

<p>If I use a light source it usually feeds off the shadows casted from elements - like light coming through a window...</p>

<p>Any Daz (render + lights + environment) settings, I&#39;m missing or (product) ideas?</p>
