      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve installed 32bit version for using lip sync.</p>

<p>But when I load my scene, or load V7 in a new scene, I get completely white eyes and full black lashes. There are no textures applyed to them.<br />
Everything works fine in the 64bit version.</p>

<p>What am I missing?</p>

<p>I&#39;d like to install DAZ 4.9 on my computer but I don&#39;t want to uninstal DAZ 4.8 because I&#39;m unsure how 4.9 will behave with my old NVidia cards.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But I feel the need to install 4.9 because there were changes with the Translucency paramenters with the new version and every new content I buy has some Translucency issues in 4.8 so I tought that having both versions would help me.</p>

<p>Can anyone help me out? Thank you.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Good people, spare some help to newbie!</p>

<p>I try to make and render simple static scene in room with 3 persons in Daz 4.9. And have two issues (actually - threre are dozens of them, but I want to slove at least these two)</p>

<p>First - it takes like 5 or more minutes to load saved scene - simple appartment interier and characters. During load process Daz frezes 3 or 4 times. Even if scene has no lights. Is it normal?</p>

<p>Second - when i try to render saved and loaded scene with iRay, render process starts then freezes, then crashes after PC memory is overflowed. The rendering itself doesnt start - CPU and GPU stay calm. However, when i comopse new scene or try to render single character, everythins is OK and render takes about 3-7 minutes.<br />
<br />
I know, my PC is old and really weak (Q9550, 8Gb RAM and MSI Lightning GTX 780 3GB) but i try to render smal pictures like 1280x960.<br />
<br />
Is there any way to fing, what consumes all memory and crashes iRay? Is there any chance for me to continue with daz?</p>

Unfortunately, when I go to use the content, the files appear to be there in the Content Library, however the preview pix are missing, and when I attempt to apply them to V4, I get the error, &quot;No importer for the file format can be found.&quot; (see attached)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I finally picked up oneclick and I was messing around with it learning the software. I decided to start with the character Daenerys Targaryen (Emillia Clarke) because I found a good frontal picture of the character with a neutral expression pretty fast.</p>

<p>Anyways, her eyes are a bit larger than normal and I had to adjust the dots for the lower eyelid and the corners. But the created morph streatches the eyeballs themselves so when I use standard Bree textures, the cornea and Pupils look oblong. How do I either fix this or keep this from happening?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So, I have been working on this render for almost a full day of real time. It&#39;s complex; and it involved me building a lot of things from scratch, making my own textures, etc... It was a really ambitious project for someone who is new to Daz3D, and art in general, and 3D art especially, to take on. But I was proud to be doing it. Which is why I was heartbroken to discover that, after waiting two hours for it to render (I have a ridiculously slow machine), the reptiloid monster I had made a custom skin for was a weird gray-white color instead. I had assigned the texture I made to all of his surface areas that were skin based in that little drop-down menu next to the &quot;Diffuse Color&quot; setting in the Surfaces pane of each surface, so I went to check and see if I had somehow screwed up other settings. The figure looked stunning in my editor, so I was upset that the final render looked completely wrong. When I went back into the Surface settings to look around and see if I could figure out what had happened, I noticed that, in the tiny preview pic where my texture should have been shown, was a blobby gray kind of image... which would explain the render issue. I couldn&#39;t imagine why this would be, so I tried reloading the texture. No dice. It still looked exactly the same. I opened the file in GIMP again to confirm something hadn&#39;t corrupted the image. Everything looked fine. Thoughts? Any help is appreciated; I REALLY want this one to come out right, it&#39;s my first big project involving lots of self-made resources, and I am pretty emotionally invested.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I can easily use some products in Carrara by converting in DAZ studio to Blended weights</p>

<p>Sixus 1 Mantisaran being an example.</p>

<p>Others if triax of course work out the box</p>

<p>yet others like the Blind demon cannot be loaded at all</p>

<p>I would love some answers on this and what the differences are as I really want to use new content in Carrara like I can Genesis 3 now,</p>

<p>I am assuming the ones that do not work need extra editing like Misty did to the Genesis 3 character files but her workflow was removed from the forum so sadly I cannot reference it.</p>

<p>Does DAZ want Carrara users to buy stuff?&nbsp;I want to buy stuff and do but its just so hard and they are so silent on the issues, I am trying to work around them but am like a blind person with a stick trying to get a view of an elaborate room.</p>

<p>I want to know what I can do, edit in the duf file etc to make things work, there are products to do this by Dimension 3D and the duf format supposed to be user editable if not encrypted according to the documentation centre too, its not reverse engineering of software its user facing files.</p>

<p>So why are Carrara users being kept in the dark and does any one know anything that can help?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Took the plunge recently. &nbsp;Spent the whole weekend teaching myself Hexagon on my Windows 10 desktop. &nbsp;I&#39;ve really got th bug&nbsp;to keep learning 3D modeling.&nbsp; Now I find out Hexagon is no longer supported and does not work on the current generation of Mac OS. &nbsp;I want to install&nbsp;it on my Mac so I can work with it while on the road and my laptop is a Mac.</p>

<p>This is a hobby for me, so cheap is paramount. &nbsp;I looked at SketchUp - but the free version doesn&#39;t support .obj files. &nbsp;Daz has a built in bridge to Hexagon, and ZBrush, but ZBrush is $800. &nbsp;No thank you.</p>

<p>That pretty much leaves Blender - unless anyone has a better suggestion?</p>

I need to render multiple G3&#39;s and that usually kicks over to CPU and takes too long. I know the Titan would be able to hold more with its 12 GB, but would it also speed up Iray render times? Any advice would be helpful before I spend the cash. Thanks</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I fitted the old &quot;Scorpio Rising&quot; from AlfaSeed (for the Victoria 3 figure) to Genesis 3 via the new autofit program. When moving the fingers there are strange &quot;gum&quot;like streaks from the fingers. This happens only with the fingers, when moving other parts of the figure all works correct. When i fit the gloves to the original V3 figure all works fine.</p>

<p>I also tried other gloves for V3 on Genesis 3 but all worked correctly.</p>

<p>What could be wrong?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I purchased the Creature morphs for head and body on genesis figures some times last year but recently it stopped working for some reason! I have tried un-installing them and then re-installing them but they still don&#39;t work! They appear in the product window but when you click on it it doesn&#39;t pop up on the side pane and, when I select a figure none of the morph settings show up in the parimeters pane except for the Hobgoblin head and the elf ears but that is all the options it gives me for creature morphs!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all. I&#39;m making a rope prop that will have only two possible poses:&nbsp;(1) sagging&nbsp;between two supports; and (2)&nbsp;taut between the supports. I&#39;m making the meshes in Blender, using a cross-section and Blender&#39;s Screw and Curve modifiers. I think the simplest way to do this is to model the rope in each pose, make each mesh its own vertex group, and create a two-boned figure. The hierarchy would be Rope &gt; Loose | Taut, where Loose and Taut are sibling children of the Rope figure. If the rope should be loose for a scene, users can Show the Loose bone and Hide the Taut bone ... and vice-versa if the rope should be taut for a scene.</p>

<p>It would be easy enough to click the Eyeball icon to show or hide the bones. But I&#39;d like to make it easier still, with a&nbsp;Boolean Loose-Taut control on the base&nbsp;Rope bone&nbsp;that toggles between the poses by setting the child bones&#39; visibility states. So the Loose (0)&nbsp;setting would Show the Loose bone and Hide the Taut bone, and the Taut (1)&nbsp;setting would reverse those bone visibilities.</p>

<p>What is the easiest way to create such a control? For example, might I rig the figure with the Loose bone visible and the Taut bone invisible, create the Boolean Loose-Taut&nbsp;control property, Hide the Loose bone and Show the Taut bone, and then ERC Freeze that for the control&#39;s Taut setting?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>This is probably a really simple question, and probably one that&#39;s been asked before, so I apologise in advance!</p>

<p>It seems like my Daz3d library is taking up &nbsp;a lot of space on one of my hard drives, and I would like to move it to an external hard-drive to save some space. Is it a simple case of moving the files in Windows Explorer to the new location, then updating the Daz3d and DIM softwares to point to the new location, or am I going to be better off uninstalling everything, and then reinstalling it all manually? I&#39;m hoping it won&#39;t come to that, but if that&#39;s the only solution, then that&#39;s what I will do....</p>

<p>And if I do move it manually - is there anything in particular I need to watch out for?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>If anyone has&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/the-wraithgate" target="_blank">The Wraithgate</a>, are you able to render it in 3Delight AND get the Fire/Mana/Necro materials to appear? This is a rare product that has materials for Iray only but also states that it works with 3Delight, even though it doesn&#39;t have 3Delight materials.</p>

<p>The description in the product page says &quot;<strong>Materials are designed for Iray, but work well in 3Delight as well.</strong>&quot; If you look at the product page, the various colors are shown in the image that says&nbsp;&quot;4 mats.&quot;</p>

<p>While the prop itself does render in 3Delight,&nbsp;the Fire/Mana/Necro emissive materials&nbsp;don&#39;t show up in the&nbsp;3Delight render.</p>

<p>I tried applying Reflective Radiance emissives to it but it changes the entire material to emissive, which is not what I want.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have built a couple of guitar props and used the same Tremelo on both guitars. I rigged the Tremelo on the LP model and&nbsp;the Arm&nbsp;moves fine with the slider. But on the other guitar the Arm has a delay when the slider is used for it. I cannot work it out and am under a bit of preasure to have this thing completed and working asap. Would anyone with some rigging experience like to have a version of both these guitars to download, to keep, look at and see what the problem with the arm is, more importantly resolve it? I have tried everything and can&#39;t get rid of that delayed action. ie move slider, let go of slider with mouse, then the arm decides to move. after it is moved, the arm will zero between fine adjustments. Driving me nuts. This guitar is ready for market all but this annoying problem.</p>

<p>Thanks if anyone can help out. I can offer a link to my files if it is allowed. I am extremely anxious about what I can and can&#39;t ask or offer. These are my guitar props. I just need help :)</p>
